  1. I know he is my son but AJ had a pretty good game too at DT, with 10 total tackles,1 sack and a TFL. Through 8 games he is at 62 tackles from DT or NT.......that's pretty good.
  2. Congratz to Community Vikings! MC played a pretty good game, but #1 Darrian Pride was the difference maker. This was his best game of the season for sure; however he has only been healthy in I think one other game (Monterey). Boxman hit this one on the head.
  3. You guys have not really beaten a great team; however you have beaten the teams like a great team should. Week 10 will defiantly let you know where you guys are.
  4. I agree with you; however they only way it could possibly become "interesting" is if Community can find some offense. Community has played a tough schedule, and played some tough D's but they have not been world beaters (only Forrest & Silverdale were real good D's). If Moore County plays bad and Community finds some offense like they did in the Monterey Game it could be a game. I think MC will score quick and often, but I hope I am wrong.
  5. This game is probably going to be rough for the Vikings. Moore County is better than most people think. I know Moore County may not be what they were last year or maybe in years past, but when they still beat every team they should. Forrest, WC, and Cascade are all good teams. I hope Community can keep it close through the first, and try to make a game of it in the second; however I have a feeling Moore County will come out and try to do what Forrest did (score quick and never give Community a chance). MC is not as good as Forrest this year, so hopefully Community can at least give them a game.
  6. You are not watching the same clip at all or just trying to save face. Watch the clip in slowmo, the first block comes then almost immediately the dive from below, #73 takes steps backward to avoid the chop, and 73 moves towards the play and makes the tackle. Apsugov7 you spew nonsense with nothing to back it up. I provide video, stats and just plain facts. But all is good, my son will love playing in Florida in January and playing college ball next year; it also makes him feel really good when coaches call and text him each week.
  7. cwoodbball I was upset when I made the first post, then got miffed again when someone stated that everyone on the Community line was bad probably the worst in the state. When the fact is that is not true at all. Community is having a hard time and I will agree our O-line has been a bit suspect (to be nice), but Coach Frost had to replace the entire O-line so yes there are some growing pains. Also AJ is an extremely good kid in school on the field and in life, and I did not take kindly to remarks form someone who did not remotely know him and may have never even seen him. At this point I will not post more (video), as I was not trying to make any kid look bad or make any kid, coach or team look like they were being dirty at all. The plays are dirty, they can hurt people, and hopefully they were accidental. I also mentioned Hogheaven and shouldn't have as he never made any comment out of the way, and I apologize to you hogheaven. Many times parents do not know football, and many perents think their child is the best ever; however sometimes parents do know about football and are realistic that their child is good. I made a negative comment and should have accepted that others would respond negatively; however this is a great high school football site, and we should treat it as such.
  8. Yea I was talking about Mitchell. Now I am not saying Mitchell is king or anything but man that is a lot of size for a 2a school, and if they have "team speed" lookout! I must also say in 1a and 2a coaching, discipline, and determination counts as much as size and speed so I guess you never know.
  9. What is your problem? Some people get on here and tell their side of an argument and provide facts......like the video of the kid getting chopped, or the FACTS of the stats of the kid, or the FACT that every team except one in the district did double and triple team. Then some people get on sites like this and do the only thing they know how, spew crap from their mouth with nothing to back it up. Everything I have said throughout this entire thread was a fact, which has been or can be proven. AJ has no current offers from any D1 or D1aa teams. I also never said that he did. What I said was he had 3 games to go before he would ever play college ball and that is also a fact. Most (not all) D2, D3, and NAIA teams have to wait until December before they can come up with a package to put in front of a prospect and or their family; however if these teams are truly interested in a prospect you will know before hand. MR VALID if you did not know this then certainly you don'y have a clue! You people beat all I have ever seen. My son gets chopped many times on a regular basis, I provide video of it happening, and you people act like I am some dumb, jerk villain. Get a life! Also Hog Heaven andValid dating, I don't take kindly to your B.S. and I wasn't taught the same growing up as my son, I am a Christian but sometimes people are so ignorant I just can't help myself. So my address is 1907 Old Nashville Dirt RD, Shelbyville TN, my phone number is 931-212-3406 you want to keep spreading the hate with nothing to back it up, just come on down here and do it ot better yet provide your address.
  10. If you guys have the team speed like you say, lots of teams may be in trouble. I noticed you guys had around 14 players at 250+lbs and at least 5 which were 275-300. I know size doesn't always mean a lot; however when you have a lot of size and a lot of team speed, that is usually dangerous.
  11. No problem MR truth, I think I found a couple more shots if that one was not good enough for you.
  12. thetruth I did not make the first post to try and get anything stirred up. I made the post because I was upset at something that has been happening a lot to a real good kid. A Kid who has 3 games to go before college football, and I do not want to see him miss his opportunity because of a chop. We have taught him to just back up a bit, but that doesn't always work. The Kid has been real passive about getting chopped because he has been taught to be the better man, not to lose his cool and never to fight (unless you fear for your life or something). AJ has been nursing a knee issue all season which started from a chop. No one has any reason to become upset because people do not like to see someone getting chopped, that is just plain stupid. I do not have a lot of good video from the game but hear is one clear shot I found real quick for you. Put it on slow motion and see what you think; if he does not back up he could have easily gotten hurt. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mgHtrI20qsg&feature=youtu.be
  13. I can assure you the player in question AJ Harris is, has been and will be double and triple teamed by every team that plays Community. Only two teams have not double teamed him (the majority of the night) over the past two seasons, and in both games he made 10 tackles each game, and combined for 6 TFL and 2 sacks. I did not down any player, team or coach. The chopping DID happen, and it did happen multiple times. I was a bit upset when I made my first post, but I did not say the Forrest coaches did coach that kind of stuff. The player in question will also play in a National all star game, currently has well over 50 tackles, over 10 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 FF, 1 FR and a defensive touchdown. There aren't many NT/DT's in the entire state that has those kinds of numbers through 7 games. I can also assure you NO player in 9A has the strength or technique to take him on one on one all game NO ONE.
  14. I did not say the Forrest kids were coached to do that. I said when it happens to one player, and that player moves and it still happens, this time by different players it is "usually" taught. Also if you think some coaches out there do not instruct players to do this then you are just blissfully blind. Chopping has been happening to this player since before middle school it is nothing new. A couple of years back (high school) one team did it 4 plays in a row (from the start of the game). The ref's never called anything (admittedly they may not have seen it happening). We become very upset and talked to the ref's. The opposing coach called a timeout (on offense for no reason other than what was going on). After the time out there was never another chop. Hopefully the coach got on to his players and told them to stop; however it certainly looked like the players and coaches knew exactly what they were doing. That one game is not even close to an isolated incident. You find a D-lineman that teams cannot block, and you will find some teams that choose to chop that player. You may also say "End of story" and you can do that because it isn't happening to you. Many teams use double or triple teams, many use the cut block (on hard to handle linemen); however some teams try to take the easy and dangerous way and use the chop and that is a fact.
  15. That is cool, and no apology needed once I see you mis read my post. Sometimes I get a little miffed too quickly as the kid in question has been dealing with that situation for years (not with Forrest, but with teams in general). Also I don't want anyone to think that I am saying the Forrest coaches do indeed coach their kids to do that. I stated when a played moves around and it keeps happening it is "usually" coached.
  16. By the way WARBOSS they shut our entire team down. But no team shuts that particular player down completely. He still had 12 tackles, 1 TFL and a sack from the interior line. I wasn't trying to down the team, as I said they are pretty good, probably the best (on the night we played them) of any team we have played.
  17. WARBOSS you are exactly right it is called coaching, classless coaching. When you coach your kids to do things which are not legal and that can easily injure a kid that is classless. You must not know much about football.
  18. Forrest is a pretty good team, and their D is also pretty good; however going hi-low on one player continuously even when that player swap positions is classless, and doing it when they move around is usually taught.
  19. Who wins? How do you see it going? OK I know everyone except maybe some extreme Community fans think Forrest will win; however now that Community Vikings are averaging over 8 points per game will they keep it up? I am hoping that my Community Vikings can at least keep the game close through the first half. Then maybe they can give it a shot in the second. Keep in mind Community has only been out of one game at the half, and only 2 of the six were leading by more than a single score.
  20. All I know is my Community Vikings still have a shot at the playoffs. All they need to do is beat Moore County and Forrest, and Eagleville..........should be no problem.
  21. Congrats Community Vikings on a good win. After the half with Community's new found offense and Monterey's fumbling problems it looked like Community might run away with the game; however Monterey dug deep, played hard and made a great game of Thursday night. With the exception of a busted play Community's D played great through the first half; along the way their offense was finally clicking. In the second half the only thing that stopped Community's O was penalties, and the only thing that stopped Monterey's O was turnovers. Quinn Frost had a great game, the receivers, the backs, the O line all played well. Coach Frost brought a great game plan to Tech. Simplify the offense, go back to the basics with the O-line, slow the game down, and put the ball in the hands of your play makers. If Community can improve on their special teams they will win more games this season.
  22. OK folks, Thursday night under the lights at Tennessee Tech, if you are close and got nothing going on come on down and watch.
  23. OK I am really laughing now. The last time I wen to Cascade someone got kicked out...........that is small town football right there (just funning). I must say I am fairly sure it was not a "Cascade Person."
  24. South Pitt has about the best atmosphere you could ask for; however it doesn't seem like "small town" to me. I say More County or even Cascade unless it is or has been raining. Cascade has horrible wet weather conditions.
