  1. East Literature should be able to win this game by 10+. Just an opinion, that's why we play them.
  2. I have also heard the rumblings from Ezell. Supposedly the president of the school will be leaving shortly. Will be interesting to see how they approach this issue. Was at the Goodpasture Maplewood game and yes their coach should be gone. Will be interesting to see who BA goes after.
  3. Obviously Trey and Christian are both really good players and I do not think that there would be any politics or back door deals going on if either one of them one. Chris Kennedy is a friend of mine and I have been able to see quite a few games this year. i would say that Christian does a bit more for the team than just score though. Either way congratulations to both.
  4. Does it really matter? At the end of the day, someone is losing to CPA in Sub State.
  5. The only unbeatable in 10-AA is CPA. I think that Goodpasture can beat any of the others. Saw their game the other night against Macon. Looks like outside of their own gym Macon is very beatable. The rest of the district is just sad.
  6. Ramsey has won two state titles so you would think he would be mentioned. I like the coach over at Pope John Paul II. That program seems to have really gotten better with him there. Also agree with Coach Sonn, would love to have him back over here in Donelson.
  7. How bad is USN? They use to be really bad way back when, but here recently they have strung together several nice seasons. It looks like they have settled back into their losing ways. Hate to see that for some of those players.
  8. "Ive seen all of the posts about this but never seem to get clear answers. So this year we had a Freshman who came over from Sycamore. Played the whole football seadon and started in alot of games. Right after football is over, he bolts back to Sycamore and is playing on their varsity basketball team. Can anyone explain how this is possible? Before anyone brings up financial hardship, the family has money. " Saw this on the Transfers and eligibility post. Wondered how the rest of the district felt about this.
  9. This does seem a little strange. We've had two different cases here, one player transferred to a region opponent and had to sit out a calendar year. Another player we had transferred and has been at four different schools since his Freshman year and has played at three of them. Who knows how they pick and choose this. Is Goodpasture not fighting this?
  10. Well we gave it our best shot last night to open our season with Goodpasture. I was expecting a little more from them, but our guys played extremely well. Had a couple of chances at the end but they made just enough plays to close it out. I am interested to see how we fare against our league. We basically have six guys that are Varsity with the remainder of our bench being our JV. Coach Ramsey was throwing everything he had at them last night. Saw a couple of Ezell guys in the crowd, I'm sure you got a good report.
  11. Well thanks for the vote of confidence. We are hoping for another miracle run, which will probably have to happen to win tonight. That is why they play them though. We have had a really good run ever since we got rid of one of our coaches and the other stopped bickering on here. Anyways, anxious to see how the regions is going to pan out. FRA will obviously be the team to beat with Knox Webb having a good team to. I still believe USN will be in for a long season, Liam is a very good player but with no supporting cast I just do not see them doing well. Good luck with your upcoming games.
  12. Mr. Gee, What Happened last night? A couple of our players and coach Dismukes were there and said it was a pretty intense game. Obviously Austin had a good game but giving up 91, whoa! Also heard Coach Farmer was furious with the refs, his team, and at one point was even yelling at the other teams coaches and bench.
  13. How is he eligible at McGavock? He just played at Mt. Juliet last year. McGavock is right down the road.
  14. I remember when he started with us here at DCA. I am wondering how he has stayed eligible having moved from DCA to Friendship, then to Mt. Juliet and finally to McGavock in four years. Four schools in four years and he is eligible day one at McGavock?
  15. Wow, looks like USN is going to be in for a long season. Cannot believe they have fallen so far so fast. State runner ups last year to a 42 point blowout opening night loss. I feel bad for Liam Nash, I think he is a pretty good player but it looks like he doesnt have any supporting cast to help him out.
  16. I think they might be referring to the possibility of some new transfers from Cane Ridge HS or Antioch HS. I've spoken with some players on Ezells team and they have said there are 2 new kids who transferred but they are not sure if they are eligible to play this year.
  17. What are DCA's chance this week against USJ?
  18. We got no love last year and seemed to do ok. Its funny how so many people think Franklin Road will just walk all over everybody.
  19. With a win Friday night against Zion my cats will finally break 500. Any thoughts on how long we will last in the playoffs. I do not know alot about the teams from the Memphis area.
  20. I think it would not be wise to count out DCA. Coming off a state title run and with a strong group who played a big part in that returning. To me they would be the team to beat. FRA is talented but we beat them on more than one occasion last year. Coach Ramsey has won two state titles and several games over the years so I would say with our strong nucleus and coaching we should definately get some consideration.

While I agree that it is both disgusting and disrespectful for current and former coaches to get on here and bash our team, I see points on both sides. This season has been hard to be a part of. With coaching issues, player/playing issues, and losing regularly we just can't seem to catch a break. We are young and I think that some of the older players on the team are more of a distraction and are doing more damage then good for the younger players. This was obviously not our year but I would say that the future is looking bright for our program.
