I guess i'll be the ^$$ hole since no one else will say it. Charles Little a Mr. Basketball finalist, no way!! I understand that he is an unbelievable athlete, I after all am one of his victims (he dunked on me). That said he is still not one of the best ball players in AAA. I am always hearing about the Delk twins, where are they at? What about team success, Cleveland has a productive year finishes third in their district. This is boggling my mind. So I started thinking what if Little is one of the best basketball players in the state? If that is the case I know about 4-5 in Chattanooga alone that should be on that list. Please give me some feedback I can't be the only one that thinks this way.

I think it also said in the paper that ER had beat them pretty good the last time that they played. All credit is due to Hixson for pulling it out and winning the district, but also beating Howard during Tourny time, not many teams can say that they beat Howard during the District Tourny. Oh wait none can cause its never happened. Good luck to all in the regions.

i got a question is the Robinson kid better at football or basketball? at 6'5 and playing receiver he could really be good.

True that Johnny kid came out of nowhere and played phenomenal. If it wasn't for him ER probally would've walked away with it. He hit a clutch basket after ER had cut it to like 6-8 and really killed their momentum. Questionable coaching move was taking out the big freshman, but i will agree that ER's coach knows alot more than all most every coach in the city at least, and he is slowly developing Jurick (the big kids name) into a very dominating post player. I just hope that we get to see the twin towers go against eachother, that is ER's Jurick 6'8 and McMinn's Bledsoe 6'10. Both are playing alot better than they were earlier in the year. But ER think one game at a time.

I was also at the game, however i noticed something totally different. At the beginning of the game ER came out and was very fired up, and Hixson seemed intimidated. However, the drag of playing so many tough games in a row seemed to catch up to the mighty pioneers. Also the fact that #5 was a "Black Hole" all night, no racism intended , it's just that the ball went in to him and never came back out. Just Playin' I just wanted to ruffle some feathers, AD is a great ball player and he along with his teammates have played exceptionally well in the tourny. Also about the intimidation thing, I also seem to remember that when the big freshman was in that Hixson was choking on alot of their shots. because he was cramming them back down their throats!! I especially liked the one when he blocked Johnny and Johnny mouthed " What the F-bomb" that was a good one.

This may sound crazy but i still believe ,along with many others that i have spoke with, that hixson is the third best team coming out of this district. Without question Howard is going to be the toughest matchup for any of the 5-AA teams to deal with. CSAS when they're on, could probably hang with any team in the state. The guard play is just to strong. Hixson and East Ridge will have two tough opening round games against two very stubborn county teams in Sequoyah and Meigs. I look for the Region crown to be decided on night one. Will CSAS finally live up to the pre-season hype and put away McMinn? Will Howard play like they did during the regular season? Will Hixson or ER shock us all again by making it to the 'ship? Should be a great region tourny, but you gotta pay to see. So I will be scalping tickets for $1 over the gate price, in front of the gym. Because " I got tha hook up" Sorry guys i was feeling a little ganster for a second.

The region is setting up very nicely for a 6-aa to win it. 6-aa top 2 seeds starting the tourny are now the bottom 2. Which means that the 2 best teams (record wise) will be playing the top 2 teams from 5-aa. a team that is sitting very nicely as of right now is ER. They have lost to both the top 2 but played very competitively, if 6-AA big dogs beat up 5-AA big dogs they are a near lock for the Ship.

Somebody needs to loosenen up. That is just my opinion don't go all P.M.Sy on me though.

SP i would probably rather see what that school you speak of taught you in ENGLISH class rather than on the b-ball court. CCS had better not beat you guys especially since you got the South Pitt version of the best basketball player in the world on your team.

To say that recruiting is going on at any private school is a wrong and baseless allegation. I sympathis with all the private schools and their respected teams. B.S y'all know your recruiting why wouldn't you. If it is not something that is closely scrutinized by the TSSAA do it. Look at Memphis there was some much recruiting going on up there that the TSSAA legalized it. But seriously ballers don't just grow in the private school garden, the schools have to be shopping and picking them from somewhere else.

A very funny story to that. I had alot of friends on the basketball team last year and they told me that they didn't know until the game was over that their season was over. The whole time they believed that they had the auto bid. Say what you want about that, i personally think it was pretty dumb. Any how how bout AD last night putting it down on the dudes head from Sequatchie last night!!! That dunk looked alot better than that weak T. Smith over B. Wright

Icecold, I hate to say but your wrong once again buddy. ER got a plaque that says Regular Season District Champs. You see it was a tie. ER was overrated? They beat McMinn Central (a team that made the state tourney because ER was the only team that could beat them) by 20 twice. Did anybody else do that. They had just beat Bledsoe by 25 less than a week before they met in the district. Look at what head to head match ups. The only reason ER only beat CSAS by 3 was because they pulled their starters. And I'm sure that Dragoo the bald one oh wait their all bald even the one in the 3rd grade, complained about the set up as well.

I honestly never thought that Smith was that good. I played against him for 2 years (4 games in all) and I think the most that he ever scored was around 17. I heard about how athletic he was, but i never saw him dunk, sprint down court, or sky for a rebound. But from what i hear he is one of the best AAU type players around. In other words he excels when there is no structure. The paper always talks about him and how "silky, smooth" he is, I am now a firm believer that when a player is described by these adjectives, he is LAZY and NEVER LIVED UP TO HIS POTENTIAL. I hate to say it but UTC recruited the wrong in city prize.

ER did get screwed without question. The rules have changed because of ER last year. It was completely ridiculous that a team could go through a complete season and dominate their district like ER did last year, and play one bad game and their season be over. This year the rules have gone back to the way they should've been, so in a sense ER definately got screwed.

I know that's right, how in the world did you guys lose to bledsoe that had to have been one of the biggest upsets in the state. Still this is going to be a great district tourny, however the top 2 in this district are alot worse than the top 2 in 5-AA. Walker Valley is good and McMinn is better. Howard without question is the favorite. It really all depends on how the bracket gets lined up.

The only team in the district able to make a postseason run, you're crazy! CSAS has been good in the past because of great DEPTH! This season not so deep not so good. In the past thier top 5 and second 5 have been about the same, this year however there is a huge drop off when dragoo subs, that's a FACT. For a team to be able to make a postseason run they have to win all the games their supposed to win and even some of the games their not supposed to. Losing to any of the county teams this year is just embarrassing. If high school B-ball was 3 on 3 CSAS would be #1. Howard is probably going to walk away with it this year. East Ridge or Tyner are my two sleepers to sneak in and steal a region spot from somebody. Whoever wins the district is just going to lose to 5-AA anyway McMinn is darn good this season.

I still think that it is Howard's to lose. The county seems pretty weak and Tyner has been absolutely aweful. CSAS has been real up and down, which is not a good thing come tournament time. Hixson is another team who has seemed to just always be playing 2nd fiddle to Howard. Hixson is also a team i haven't heard alot from this season at all. East Ridge solid guard play and deeper this year than usual. ER has beaten every team in the district with the exception of CSAS. Should be some good games, and i can't wait to see how things shape up at ER during the tourny.

I was just wondering, i remember the Chattanooga Times Free Press had it in there but i forgot who it was. I know that it was some JUCO and at some point they were the number 1 team in the NJCAA?

21.4 might be 5 in his district. Which is still a respectable number to go along with what 15 rpg.

I have played against and watched all the guards you are discussing. In no particular order here are my assessments. 1.) Caleb is an extremely good guard. He's tough to contain and unlike his brother he looks to pass first and can still put up 20 quick. Defensively he is unbelievable at the A level, if he had to guard AAA players every night it would be a different story. 2.) Corey Sanders probably the most athletic of all the players mentioned. Completely uncontrolable off the bounce, and makes up for alot of bad decisions and playing out of control with his ability to make the spectacular play(i.e a behind the back or no look pass when a simple bounce pass would work). Has alot of street to his game. Defensively he is a shut down guy, at the next level i would love to see him take the defensive side more seriously. Potential is Low to mid D1. 3.) Rodney Marsh is an unbeliveable scorer. But, that's about it. His defense is lack luster since he gambles so often looking for the steal. At the next level he is a tough fit. His descion making questionable for the 1 and he's to small for a 2. I compare him to a Sir Lee Mason type player. Of all the guards he is the best pure scorer. Potential is a JUCO or D2. I like JUCO so that he can transfer. 4.) Beau Brown has lots of work to do before he is considered an elite GUARD. He is with out a question a good high school player. But he has alot of work to do, its a good thing he has one more year. His potential is D2 or Low D1. 5.) Ogglesby from Bradley without question the best prospect of anyone mentioned. Just a sophmore and starting on one of the best teams in the State this is going to be the special prospect from the Chatt area that we have been needing. Can score, play D, dish it, and makes good not great decisions. JUST A SOPHMORE!!! 6.) Plavich from Baylor, he can't dribble not that strong, basically your average white guy. But wait he can tickle the twines just like his brother, and the last time i checked he wasn't doing that bad not being able to shoot off the bounce 13 ppg 40% from 3 in conf USA not bad. Those are my humble assesments of the ones i have played against or watched play more than one time.

Did they go to college somewhere or did they hang it up? Let's try and keep it recent, none of the old players. If you don't know where they be ask, because it's a small world after all!

Currently at Chattanooga State, i think it was in the newspaper around the end of last year that he signed with them. He isn't playing for some reason or another. Is there a transfer rule when you go from a D-1 to a juco?
