Ill let y'all play around with what may happen in terms of shifting weights for advantage. 106: Jaxon Lane wins by decision (maybe pin) - Assuming decision: 3 points for McCallie (If pin: 6 points) 113: Chase Walker wins by decision - 3 points for Cleveland 120: Brody Connell wins by decision - 3 points for McCallie 126: Zac Bosken wins by major decision - 4 points for Cleveland 132: Dylan Villers wins by decision - 3 points for McCallie 138: Information not enough to determine 144: Zaydan Morgan wins by major or pin - Assuming major: 4 points for McCallie (If pin: 6 points) 150: Information not enough to determine 157: Cy Fowler wins by pin - 6 points for Cleveland 165: Logan Fowler wins by pin - 6 points for Cleveland 175: Dylan Harrold wins by decision (maybe pin) - Assuming decision: 3 points for Cleveland (If pin: 6 points) 190: Lucas Szymborski wins by decision - 3 points for Cleveland 215/220: Cooper Gentle wins by fall - 6 points for McCallie 285: Carson Gentle wins by fall - 6 points for McCallie Let's calculate the points, noting the weights where information is insufficient for determination (138 and 150). Based on the outcomes I've suggested and assuming the lower point values for ambiguous outcomes (decision instead of pin where unsure), the final team scores are: Cleveland: 25 points McCallie: 25 points Looks like a very tight good matchup! Below are the starting lineups with links to their track profiles if you want. 2. That’s true but so will McCallie it looks like. They only have two seniors and maybe one junior I believe. The rest are 8th and 9th graders with a couple sophomores. Excited to see them battle it out over the next few years
  3. Why do you get so aggressive and unnecessarily hostile with people in here? @CarlSpackler88 is just telling you what he thinks would happen. He is also constantly praising how good Cleveland is as a team and will be next year. Yet you’re constantly coming at and bashing McCallies whole program. Just relax….its a healthy debate on a good matchup between two good teams.
  4. I agree. It would be a very good match. Id like to see them wrestle their dual later in the season next year.
  5. The thing is 106, 113, and 120 could go either way. That would be what decides the match. Either way it would be extremely close. I would love for them to move their dual match up to later in the season next year so that it could be a more true matchup. I say the highly coveted "streak" ends.
  6. What are your hypothetical matchups and hypothesized outcomes for each weight?
  7. I just did a random generator that says we would start at 157. Another random generator says McCallie wins the coin toss. Choose a random weight class from the 14 we have been using ChatGPT ChatGPT Error analyzing The randomly chosen weight class from the ones we've been discussing is 157 lbs. You who wins the coin toss cleveland or mccallie? ChatGPT ChatGPT McCallie wins the coin toss.
  8. A recent article was published stating that the final team rankings were published with Cleveland being number 1 and McCallie being number 2. The article link is below: https://www.chattanoogan.com/2024/2/4/482199/Cleveland-First-McCallie-Second-In.aspx?fbclid=IwAR25_L17iBtdO_sB9IGWsqLlMB2QaPbMEGEjpid8TEUc5C2mKa0khjSvjpk Do we agree with this? If these two schools faced off right now what do we think would be the result? Lets get some people to break down the match by match analysis and get some healthy debate going. Now, these two schools wrestled earlier this year but McCallie did not have 4 of its starters due to it still being within the football season and they were advancing to the state championship against Baylor. I also do not remember if they had any of their 8th graders wrestling yet. So they were sort of a shell of a team at the time. I believe Cleveland also had a couple wrestlers not present. BUT if they wrestled now, both at their best, who would win? How close would it be? Would it even be close? Lets see some match by match analysis!
  9. Plus D1 would lose at 182...
  10. I never said hagey destroyed him I said Baylor did because I'm pretty sure Hamilton and Parker from Baylor wrestled and Parker at least majored him. You may be right about hagey losing to him twice this year though. Apologies
  11. Final Score 33 D2 to 32 D1 And that's giving D1 the two toss ups at 145 and 182
  12. 106 - Eli King pins 113 - Murphy would tare up Navarro. Addison Cornell beat Navarro first match of the year by about two and Murphy beats Addison pretty handedly. 120 - Oliver at least techs. Oliver teched Dendy and Dendy beat D1 champ first high-school match of his career this year. 126 - Debian gets a major at least. 132 - Austin Richards would major Chris W. 138 - Connell has pinned Russo twice and pinned Ezra one and almost pinned him the first time. 145 - This is a total toss up and for all the people that even thought Hamilton pins Davis is ridiculous. They wrestled twice and Davis lost 7 to 8 and the second time lost 12 to 14 and had him pinned for a solid 7 seconds and that can be verified by anybody that was in the gym at Brentwood including the Brentwood fans and Hamilton own parents! 152 - (Sutherland wrestled Luke Hamilton this year and last year and majored him twice so for the people that said Hamilton would win you are also crazy) Luke Hamilton beat the D1 champ here and Sutherland majored Hamilton so.... 160 - I can't believe some of you said Popp wouldn't even place in D1......he would pin through.... 170 - who did Kennedy wrestle this year... No one! Both Caymen and Hagey would both win.... Baylor destroyed Hamilton and Kennedy had a close match with him 182 - this is a total toss up and could go either way... 195 - ethan West would pin 220 - Kramer and Rex would both pin D2 champ from mba 285 - Bruno would pin Sorry for any misspellings.... I'm not grammar checking this
  13. Hey Sommers let's see that picture on here. Can't see it if we aren't friends. But I want to see it
  14. Okay let's just get this straight.... I am sick of hearing about Fargo.... Fargo does not even compare to super 32.... First off Fargo is divided by age groups... Then it's a freestyle and Greco-Roman tournament and there alot of studs out there that have never even wrestled a single freestyle match in there life..... Also super 32 is right at the beginning of the season when alot of people are starting to train and think about the season and are ready to kick some button.... Then finally as proof you have Debien that makes it to the finals at Fargo and goes 0-2 at Super 32....Oliver may not have even placed if he wrestled at Super 32.... Alot of you guys on here haven't even been to this tournament to see how tough it is... It is a tougher tournament than ncaas at this age group.... Truth... Plus our Tennessee wrestlers did alright two of which earned themselves spots as the top 16 wrestlers in the nation at there weight.... They just didn't place top 8
  15. You guys have to understand that 120, 126, 132 were by far the toughest weights in this tournament, with 132 being the most definite toughest. Non of the other weight classes were even close in comparison with 132...For instance you had Tate Robinson who is nationally ranked lose his first match.... You had Brock Erving who is ranked 7 in the nation basically get etched in the quarters.... Then you still have Kemmerer and Krisis and like four other absolute studs.... Then to top it off it was the biggest weight class with 180 wrestlers..... So you have to recognize Tate Robinson and Connell and who ever else was there from our home state.... Then at 120 Debien who got second in Fargo goes 2-0 at 120....and Stevenson who normally does well at this tournament goes 1-2....just saying give these guys a little more respect.... Because none of the other weights even compared to these.... Don't throw down on the rest of our wrestlers just because only one makes it to the second day with returning 106 pounders.... Congrats to all Tennessee wrestlers in the toughest tournament in the nation by far....
  16. This is the perfect score and has perfect wins except 182 would be closer and 195 would be really close could go either way....
  17. The baylor coach was not expected to ask the reff to chang the point call......there were bad calls by the reffs the whole match, many against baylor and just as many against mccallie. The fact of the matter is mccallie got royaly screwed in probably one of the worst calls tssaa history....baylor got third place but you have to know who actually won the wrestling portion of the match....mccallie. and there is no lesson to be learned from this....countless kids have run and hugged they're coaches after winning state with no points being deducted....also it we be awesome if we could stop referring to the act as unsportsman like...because if hugging your coach is unsportsman like then..... Finally the ruling on haveing a point deducted for running off themat before shaking hands was made for the kids that were angry and would storm off in anger and actually show unsportsmen like conduct.... this whole thing should not have happened think about if this was the finals how bad this would have been....something needs to be done about these reffs before Feb. 16.....
  18. You don't think Mccallie is on there?
  19. Bryceson Popp (Baylor) Tate Robinson (Baylor) (if eligible) Ryan Simpson (Father Ryan) Michael Eckhart (Father Ryan) Adam Connell (Mccallie) Griffin Davis (Mccallie) Nathan Hoodenpyle (Mccallie) ....and im sure you know CHristian Brothers...i know there are some i missed..
  20. Lets see some more opinions on order...
  21. Saw D1 was already on here so just thought I'd start up the thread for DII too. Plus really intrested to see what people have to say. We could just do a list of top ten D1 and DII teams together......Who are the best teams in the state? Lets see what people have to say... I'll take a stab... 1- Cleveland - looking really good this year with a couple returning state champion and lopez and kid from GA 2- Soddy Daisy - team is really good and has very deep line up 3- Christian Brothers - although they lost some good wrestlers theyve still got some studs 4- Baylor - always good competitors....really good in middle weights 5- McCallie - this team is usaly underlooked...gots some studs that will suprise people this year "Griffin Davis kid" looks good 6- Father Ryan- always great although suffering in the upper weights 7- Bradley - 8- MBA - 9- Ravenwood - 3rd last year... 10- Brentwood -
