  1. You must be crazy if you think Pickett COunty is going to lose to Unaka, Unaka was beat by Clay purty easily, and was also beat by Pickett. Pickett County will play Tennessee Temple in the final game, no doubt about that. Pickett County wins the State Championship over Temple in a close game 63-58.Good Luck to all teams in the state tournament, especially to Pickett COunty in State, bring that gold ball back to 7A.
  2. I wouldn't go as far as to say that Clay looked like a middle school team, Is that not pushing it a little bit. Temple played some really good ball tonight, and Clay didn't play very good, as they were plagued by sickness, which is no excuse because you just gotta block that outta your mind in a game of this magnitude. The Skogen kid (#14) played a really awesome ball game, Caleb Skogen wasn't that impressive, but if he had a pulled hamstring then that explains it. I think Temple is a very good team, and they are very fundamentally sound. I think Clay overall played decent, second half wasn't good, but I think that is where the sickness came in and ran alot of the players down. This game should have been much closer than it was as Temple is not a 20 point better team than Clay COunty, although they were on that given night. Good Luck to Temple in the State Tourney, and I think if they make it to Pickett County they are going to need it. Good Luck In the BORO!!!
  3. Congratulations to the Pickett COunty Bobcats on a win over Grace Academy. Sounded like you guys just totally dominated in all aspects of the game on Monday. I hope you guys can play like that in the State Tournament and try to bring that Gold Ball back to 7A. I think you are alot better then Temple from seeing both teams play, and I think if you all meet in the State Championship you all will bring it home. Good Luck in the Boro.
  4. If anyone from any team( thats going to sub-state) gets on here and says theyre not nervous at all then there is something realll wrong with them, possibly a liar. Anyone that has to play in a sub-state game, knowing that there is a possibility of going to the Boro for the State Tournament, and also knowing that there is a possibility they will be going home, and possibly playing theyre last game of the season is nervous. So, why would anyone get on and say they are not nervous, I'd say there are alot of people out there that are nervous that don't even play. Clay will probably bring more of a fight to Temple than is expected, Good Luck to District 7a. Clay by 2.
  5. Oh, yeah i forgot something, Congratulations to Pickett County head coach Gregg Bibb, he also deserved it. He coached a smart game tonight, and i think there were some things Clay could have done differently to win this game, but i guess we'll see!
  6. I want to send my congratulations out to the boys at Pickett County. They played a heck of a game. Congratulations to Joseph Bailey for makeing the game winning bucket and getting All-Tourney. Congratulations also to Nathan Groce, Lance Mason, and Josh Wright on their all tournament team awards. I want to send a big Congrats to Lance Staton on getting the Mvp, because he really deserved as he was the one that killed Clay County tonight. Good luck to Pickett against Grace Academy on Monday night.
  7. Rich's dunk at Monterey wasn't a dunk, never have seen walden or miller dunk, or get close for that matter, i think ive heard kerr can off of an alley oop.
  8. Congratulations to Joseph on a job well done, 12 threes in a game is awesome no matter how many minutes he played, but the fact that he only played 18 minutes makes it an even more unbelievable feat.
  9. Pickett County wins this one by a good 27 points maybe more. Pickett won't play as good as they did against Clay COunty, unless Bailey light it up again, which I don't see happening.
  10. Pickett County played very well last night. Joseph Bailey played the best game I think I've ever seen him play. As far as the Caleb Skogen dunk at Temple, if it was like last year he probably took 3-4 steps to do it. I also heard that Bailey and a few other Pickett players were in foul trouble early at Temple, just not the case last night. Pickett wasn't in foul trouble and for the most part played well, they also pulled the boards that Clay just wasn't seeming to get. But, I think besides the boards on the Clay County side, both teams played well!
