What happened last Friday was a result of never giving up and making it happen. Who is to say riverside can’t do the same ?

i do feel like we should win but I think we will see some trick plays and some guys playing their hearts out

No doubt about it. Like I stated earlier, Peabody will get Riverside's best shot

irrelevant since the TSSAA is the body with the power to overturn horrible egregious referee error.

    otherwise great lame crappy post

Have you guys thought about succeeding from the TSSAA and starting your own governing body? I'm sure you'd get many takers to join the league. You can even conspire so that Forrest goes 15-0 every year from here on out. How do you we get this into motion now? I'll start filing all of the paperwork for you next week.

Ahh yes there it is. The derogatory name calling that you inflict upon others to make yourself feel intelligent and witty. Keep em coming because I need to expand my knowledge and hopefully raise my IQ to that of at least a 4th grade level.

I just hope nobody from Chapel Hill actually gets on here and reads the garbage you post. They have to be embarrassed that of all people, you're the one representing them...

While this may not have been the matchup a lot people expected before the season in the semifinals, it should definitely be an interesting matchup!  It’s the semifinals, so I think it’s kind of ridiculous that anyone expects a shutout or a blowout either.    Riverside has home field advantage too as well as a lot of momentum.   Trenton has a very good football team this year and it will be interesting to see their response after a very emotional and grueling game against Fairley, and if that game may have any lasting after effects.  Should be a good game

Good post. Riverside will come at Peabody throwing haymakers I'm sure. They are a tough football team. Anybody that makes it this far is a tough team that has resiliency. I expect Riverside to give their best showing. Peabody on the other hand will come out 1 of 2 ways. They will either let last week's game continue to hang over them and show up still hungover from that victory. Or they will come in laser focused and prepared understanding that they must take no one lightly after the miracle that happened last Friday. I'm going with the latter of the two. Peabody has been in the semifinals 4 times in the past 6 years if you're including this game. They have the experience especially after playing against a potent Waverly team in last year's semis. Seems like its the battle of the known vs the unknown. How will Riverside handle the momentum swings and adversity? Same goes to Peabody. I don't think that Riverside will be able to match the speed on the field. But can Peabody match the physicality that Riverside brings? Only time will tell.

u dont need an invite. u are claiming we cannot beat peabody. maybe we should just go ahead and quit

Hate to see that you guys threw in the towel. Did y'all quit because you knew the TSSAA was preparing to carry through their objective of ruining Forrest's season? Or was it because Riverside won? I just want to make sure I have my facts straight when I go to testify against this corrupted plan of the TSSAA.

I have no dog in this fight, this is just my worthless two cents. The General's "TSSAA corruption" thread brought me here. The official pictured is operating the clock and has no business being responsible for a spot. The official on the 13 yard line coming in is responsible for the spot up until the 2 yard line where the deep official has the spot from the 2 to the goal line. Spotting the ball is an inexact(guess) science. If you watch games on Saturday and Sundays do you ever wonder why the ball is located on a yard line every time.....

The blindside block is absolutely correct. Some have said that those calls should not be made in that kind of game. Safety calls (blindside block, facemask, horse collar, targeting) should be made every time every game. Game fairness calls (holding, pass interference) are the calls where it depends on where the foul occurred and the status of the game. However, the foul should have been penalized by post scrimmage kick rules. The only possession requirement is that the receiving team is the next team to put the ball in play. Since the ball was never touched possession automatically goes to the receiving team.

Also, all officials are independent contractors, not employees of the TSSAA. The TSSAA has no power in the selection or training of officials. It is up to the independent associations for training and selection. During the playoffs, each association trades officiating crews to ensure the appearance of independence. More than likely, this was the first time this group had ever been to Forrest. MOST officials have no agenda, it is a tough job with a touch of incompetence all the way from the junior pro level to the NFL level.

    Good post

Man, do you want some cheese with that whine! You cry more than my granddaughter and she's a baby! You loss chief, get over it! A 12-0 team wouldn't have been in a position like that in the first place against a 7-5 team if they was any good anyway! I've always respected your insight and wit, which is why I like to pick with you, but man right now you are losing some serious cool points!:???:

My friend I hope you don't mind being called an idiot or having your intelligence questioned. Cause you're sure going to have those stones hurled at you for this response <_< but its okay, I was told I have the lowest IQ on this site! I've never held such a prestigious honor :thumb:

I like it. There is one tune they play that really gets the players going. Matter of fact, my favorite and from what I’m told, the kids favorite is the one they play through the plays. I will say this..... the kids in the band are great and the student section is great. They really add to the whole atmosphere. It’s going to be electric Friday night.

Always great when the band and students are involved and can help create an atmosphere. I remember when I was a little lad, the band playing on Friday nights was a staple for a Friday night football game. I love to see that.

They should keep it like it is this year.  Privates should always play on Thursday because they finish a week earlier.

Agreed. That was idiotic to have 2A 4A & 6A play last year on a Thursday less than a week after the semifinal game. Only idiotic because the privates had a full week off, they should've played that Thursday. Glad to see it switched back this year.
