  1. EH won't run the ball if Cleveland sends 8 on the blitz like Signal did. That's common sense.
  2. EH vs. Cleveland is always a good football game. Cleveland is always pretty classy compared to other former district opponents. Should be another good matchup this Friday at Hurricane Hill.
  3. Sounds like a bunch of excuses to me. Your defensive line got pushed around. Watch the film. You blitzed the house. You had more than EH could block. LB's made tackles. That's why EH threw the ball. Throwing the ball is part of the game. And you couldn't cover or run with EH's players. Check EH's record at the end of the season and we will see who's right. I tend to ignore the opinions of excuse makers and losers. You can keep your luck and your "nuggets", sweetheart. No one will need it more than Signal this year. Try not to let Ooltewah burn your Eagle's Nest down on Friday.
  4. Signal is a Wing-T team running the ball 40+ times per game. 230 yards rushing isn't much for a team that exclusively runs the football.
  5. You wouldn't know zoysia if it was growing on your scalp. Plenty of crabgrass patches and you know it. That's why you ain't arguing...
  6. You didn't look in the dictionary, you looked in the mirror. Check the scoreboard, Biff. See you Eagle Hosers next year! I'll bring the pickle juice!
  7. Truth hurts. Check the visitor side around the 30 yard line toward the south endzone. Crab grass patches everywhere. It was a fast track though. Might want to let them weeds grow a little taller to keep Ooltewah from running by your Cramping Eagles next week.
  8. 16 point difference might be "right" in your signal homer mind, but anyone else that watched it would probably disagree. sm's first team offense scored on EH's second team defense with 1.8 seconds left in the game. The long plays that were called back were NOT penalties AT ALL, much less "clear cut". EH didn't go on to score on at least one of those possessions where Uncle Ref bailed you out. EH's ones WERE NOT gassed in the 4th quarter, however, signal's ones WERE, in fact, GASSED. Signal had 5-7 kids go down with cramps while EH had 0 go out with cramps... How is signal the "better conditioned team"? I guess you're grasping for something positive to pull from this, but you weren't watching the same game that was played tonight or those rose-colored glasses you're wearing have skewed your reality. Btw, noticed a fair share of crab grass and weeds. Might want to get your mower blades checked. And what's up with your HC declining an interview after the game?
  9. EH-34 sm-18. Not as close as the score indicates. A couple scores called back for EH. SM scored late against EH 2nd teamers.
  10. East Hamilton's 1st string only played one series on both sides of the ball. Rhea's JV and Freshmen were playing EH's JV and Freshmen.
  11. Central was a last minute addition to Walker Valley scrimmage. Central having a hard time finding scrimmages. EH and Central will not be playing one another at said scrimmage.
  12. 5-way Scrimmage at Walker Valley. Walker Valley, Chattanooga Central, Knox West, Knox Catholic, East Hamilton
  13. That's great. I choose to place my money elsewhere.
  14. Since when is the number of starters you have back THIS YEAR or who is being recruited "the past"? Must be something in the Upper Cumberland water. How many wins does last year get you this year? Go ahead, I'll wait. Last years wins or loses don't mean one thing. Anyone can win on any given Friday night. You don't get extra points for having a good record last year. Everything else is speculation.
  15. EH has 16 of 22 back as well. QB is getting D1 looks in football and baseball. RB is a 3 year starter. D1 looks for a WR/DB. Size up front on both sides of the ball. And numbers are higher than they've ever been from what I hear. I like EH's chances back in 4A. This is high school football, sweetheart. LA ain't Alabama. Last year won't win you any games.
  16. I guess Hixson is loaded too then, because they beat LA and played them close in the playoffs. Come on, man!Last year is irrelevant. New year, new teams.
  17. I guess this is your round-about way of saying you were exaggerating. Playing the CCS's, East Ridge's, and Polk County's of the world has you Papists brainwashed. Get a grip.
  18. EH lost 4 games by 10 points or less. Throw in two wins. So getting "routed" by 4 opponents is "everyone" all of a sudden? Come on, man! Signal, Ooltewah, Cleveland and Soddy are "cupcakes"? EH played all of those teams last year (one might refer to them as "usual opponents"). You must be calling the teams in the region "cupcakes". EH lost 4 starters on offense and 4 on defense to graduation. Lost several last year to injury. They're all back and healthy. I've heard a lot of positives coming out of EH this spring and summer.
  19. How is 28-19 "beating them easily"? It was 14-7 at the half and 21-19 late in the 4th quarter. That's with a missed extra point, failed 2 pt conversion and a fumble on Signal's 2 yard line for EH.
  20. I'm confused. Since when is 28-19 getting "drilled"? You obviously didn't see the game. DB does not, by any means, have a speed advantage, much less an "enormous" one. No word on the severity of the QB's injury. The backup came in and scored a TD against Signal. Plus, he's a senior.
  21. I can say that about these Canes. This is a young, deep group of athletes and linemen. Offense will be exponentially more balanced than in years past. Relied on the run in 2012, relied on the pass in 2013. This year will be a mixture of both.
  22. Stump deals in rumor and innuendo, not facts.
  23. This is patently false. EH has only lost 2 players to Ringgold in 6 years. Stump got it wrong again.
