  1. Is the game on live stream or internet radio? Keep us posted on the score.
  2. The two banked-in 3 pointers in the first quarter really helped with momentum (Giving confidence they could play with Bradley). Cookeville is a good team & played good defense & with good patience on offense. I can see how they won a lot of games with that shooting & they are pretty physical on defense.
  3. What happened? I thought Cleveland would have a better showing?
  4. Yes. With Stone coming in 3rd, it set the table for that to happen. I wonder if any other 2 time Miss Basketball winner has never made it past the Region Tourney?
  5. Having Stone as a 3 seed really helps that be more of a possibility...
  6. Most of the time shots don’t fall is because of the other team’s defense, but I get what’s you are saying. I have seen Bradley shooting go cold this time of year before...
  7. Finishing 4th in the District Tourney is a great way to lay low & sneak up on Bradley.
  8. Let’s make some predictions. I’ll say Bradley (big) Cleveland (close - Kara Williams needs to have big night) White Co (big - WC is peaking at right time) Stone Memorial (Hayes will have to score 30+ to keep it close)
  9. Could go 3-1 the other way just as easily.
  10. I think you are 100% correct here. This loss was probably the best thing that could have happened for the Cleveland title hopes. i have never said Cleveland was unbeatable or even the favorite to win it all. I haven’t seen many teams outside of Dist 5 & 6 this year, so I just don’t know. I think they could have trouble if there are athletic teams that have height & can get the ball inside on them, as well as locking down Jacobi or catching them on an off night. My whole point is that Cleveland has a strong group of starters & is not a 1 man team.
  11. Wait... what did you just say about Bradley & Bearden & equating to Cleveland? Are you playing the who beat who game?
  12. They may lose to one of them, but they do have good players besides Wood. You simply show that don’t know basketball if you think otherwise.
  13. Stone @ Bradley Walker Valley @ White Co Ooltewah at Warren Co Cookeville at Cleveland Should be some pretty good games. Ooltewah has a bad record, but actually played Bradley & Cleveland close at least one game this year. Assuming Wood players, I just done see anyone coming close to Cleveland. Four pretty equal teams on the opposite bracket are playing for second place.
  14. And didn’t WV just host the District 2 years ago? Why not rotate it more? Their gym is horrible.
  15. I have said many times... whoever designed (& approved the design) of the WV gym should lose their architecture license. It is the worst new gym built in America the last 50 years. Maybe unapproved website will do a story on them too
  16. LOL... you don’t want to be on Cleveland’s side of the bracket... for sure
  17. I know that winning the District isn’t Bradley’s goal, but to win 10 straight is nothing short of incredible. A great program!
  18. I think Stone will win, but I keep thinking Hayes will turn it on in a big game, & she may only have one more opportunity left...
  19. Ahhh. You are correct! I forget about hosting the first round, but I do like the rule for several reasons. Thanks!
  20. Nothing would surprise me in all but one of these games, but with Stone as a 3 seed, they are probably the favorite vs East Ham. Hayes will have to stay out of foul trouble (unlike tonight). White Co seems to be peaking at the right time, so they should handle McMinn Co. A semifinal matchup with Stone should be a good one, with a trip to Sectionals on the line. Interesting matchup with Tony Williams heading to Rhea Co to play against girls he coached in MS (although I think a few of those girls may have ended up at Meigs Co). Was Hampton at Rhea Middle when he was up there?
  21. I made a new thread for the Region 3AAA tourney. May be easier to keep up with it all over there instead of bouncing back & forth in 2 District threads.
  22. Cookeville at Bradley Cleveland @ Rhea Co McMinn @ White Co Stone @ East Ham East Ham, White Co & Stone are in same side of bracket & tourney is at White Co HS. Should be some good games.
  23. Just heard on radio that Jacobi Wood has a ankle injury & probably won’t play tonight. In the grand scheme, that is probably the best decision. District game mean nothing & they are much better than all of District 5 & 6, if he is able to play in Regions.
