The problem is referees have zero accountability in their job performance. If they are terrible at their job, nobody in the TSSAA cares. Nothing happens. There is no punishment. But I don't know how you fix it unless you leave the TSSAA. Nobody wants to be a ref because of the difficulty of the job. Because of this, they're allowed to make whatever horrible call they want with zero repercussions. The TSSAA and the refs have the coaches, schools, and players bent over a barrel.

Unicoi was missing at least 3 players in the Cloudland game including both of their big kids.

It's going to be a tight one the whole way. With the way Elizabethton is playing right now, I wouldn't bet against them.

Yep, Elizabethton and Greeneville.

It looks like Elizabethton is peaking at the right time as they have the past few years and have emerged as the top team from District 1. It also looks like Grainger has fallen off. Elizabethton and Greeneville when it really counts again?

Crockett will go back to being what they've always been after this season and I'm sure the Hilltopper fans will be happy to see it.

SH won 3 state titles in the 90s. They were also in the final four a couple years ago (the year after Hale and Allen bailed on them) and let a title probably slip away there by blowing a double digit lead.

Elizabethton is probably better than Mo West but it would be a good game. South Greene is a few notches below these two.

It looks like this is shaping up to be another battle between Greeneville and Elizabethton. Can anybody really give these two a run for their money when it counts? Elizabethton has played a tough schedule so far and had to replace Bowers a week before the season which has set them back. Will Honeycutt cement his growing grasp on the region with this rag tag bunch or will the returning talent of Greeneville and possibly Sullivan East be too much to overcome for him this year?

how are they going to be this year? i saw they lost a close one to Crockett last night.

It looks like Halls was missing a couple starters and another bench guy. I know Hampton is 1A, but they're a lock for the state tourney this year. With the team they have this year and the guys Halls has out, its not a bad loss.
