I'm not sure how we did in other tournaments this weekend but at Father Ryan we had 14 wrestlers from our region place. Badon of Dickson County losing twice. Small of Wilson Central taking third. Father Ryan dominated the tournament throughout. Wilson Central had a very strong showing. Clarksville and Auburn also got to show off their skill. Those four teams impressed me the most.

#3 ranked in the state Kevin Knier at 113 lost 21-6 to Dylan Coggins on the 23rd. Coggins also has a win over Shelton of Springfield 3-2 or 3-1. I know he isn't in our region but he is one to watch with impressive wins over these 2 wrestlers in our region.

I don't know what I was thinking my apologies. Henley of Clarksville. He gave both the former state qualifiers a match.

Stewarts creek came up with a monster upset over the highly favored Clarksville team. Clarksville will peak at the right time like always though. Springfield got beat pretty badly by both teams. Now on to some individual wrestlers. Your Clarksville team had impressive performances by Russell, Cook, and D'allasandro. For Springfield Shelton looked unimpressive in a loss to former state qualifier Dylan Coggins by 3-2 in a hard match for both. Both struggled with Douglass of Clarksville in an exhibition match. Great night of wrestling in Clarksville tonight! Look for these four and many others to keep improving.

Some interesting matches at Northwest this weekend. Cook defeated Gonzales. King defeated Gordon. Shelton defeated Knier. Butler of Beech looked strong along with Beatty of Rossview. Bruno looked larger than ever. Beech and Clarksville looked very strong and are poised for another run along with Wilson central. Anymore more big matches I missed? Any teams other than these 3 to watch?

Who are some wrestlers to watch from each team? And some to watch overall that aren't state placers?

His knee got bent badly and couldn't walk but I think he refused to forfeit he was beating the rossview kid pretty good at the time

How bad is the Springfield 106 hurt? It looked bad when it happened. He walked out on crutches and was obviously in pain the way he was yelling and rolling out on the mat but finished the match.
