Watertown played a good ball game tonight. They were in it from the beginning and the fans were with them the whole way. Congrads on their first Region championship. I hope i never see Crange shoot as bad as they did tonight the rest of my life. That was the worst offensive performance i've seen. You could definantly tell the lack of depth killed them toward the end of the game. Our most consistant free throw shooters couldn't get anything to fall from the line. All that being said does anyone know anything abot boyd Buchannon? they have a good record but I know that means nothing. I've looked over there schedule and the teams they have beaten are not that good (record wise). I've not seen them or heard anything from them. I talked to one of their "scouts" during the game tonight and even he said that region was way down this year. Anyways good luck to H2o town monday night as I think they will be going to the boro. Hope the same happens for Crange. Be nice to see the boys in the glass house for once.

Congrads to Watertown they beat the crap out of us. Our offense hit a brick wall. Guess that happens against a top team when we only go 6 deep. And whoever says Watertown 200 fans would not be a difference needs to watch this game. There is def a difference when you get to host as the amount of fans show that show up. That by no means caused the outcome of this game. Good luck to Watertown Monday. Should have a good shot to go to state

This looks like it will be a first either way. Congrads to Watertown making it this far with a chance to win it. Crange has not won this region championship either. If they did it was way back in 80's or whenever they were relevant. We forget crange used to be the bottom feeders of 7a for long time and here lately they have stepped up. This makes the third time in 5 years we have played in this championship game. Both teams seem to deserve this game and this win and the rights to host a sectional game. Can't wait to watch this game. When its all said and dobe at least this is not the last game us crange and Watertown fans get to watch. We're at least guaranteed one more. I'll not blame refs for any game. Yes refs can make bad calls. heck they will make bad calls its inevitable. The guys on the floor decide the outcome of the game. not any ref. good luck to you guys tomorrow night.

Just how did Clay get cheated? That was one of the more fair games I've seen called in a long time by either side. We had some crap calls that we didn't get called just like i'm sure you guys did. Clay got cheated by scoring 2 points in a quarter! not by the refs. Clay has a good team but the shots weren't there. Thats what happens when you are a jump shooting team. If the shots aren't falling chances are your not going to win the game. I've seen clarkrange play this way for many years. they are a jump shooting team but they play great defense on top of that. Some games they come out flat and cant throw one in the ocean and some games they come and can hit everything like gordonsville game. Thats ridiculous to think Clay got cheated. I dont know what happened with Jcounty and watertown by that time i might have been back to the interstate fighting that god awful traffic coming in and out of that small parking lot. I tell ya Clay in no way got cheated. Refs dont decide the games. Kids on the floor are the ones playing!

Since when has basketball been so closely related to football? I guess its the same sport now. And no one said anything about losers being cheated. I'm a firm believer in the better team will win the game. If clarkrange wins they are/were the better team no matter where its played. Weather you want to believe it or not a basketball player's home court is a flight advantage. Players have "spots" on their floor to shoot from, etc. Again I'm not saying that determines the game. What sucks about the school is lack of seating and parking for 4 teams and fans

It is alternated from one district to another but every year when district 7A hosts it is at Livingston Academy. Not JCounty, Clay county or any "home" school. It's in a complete different county from any school in the district. The gym is huge with plenty of parking and plenty of room for fans. Nothing against watertown. They are playing the games wherever they are told to play the game and I dont blame the school. I blame whomever is in charge of placing these games. Watertown's gym is not that big to be trying to host a region tourney. Expecially with the amount of fans these two regions have. This is probably one of the biggest fan bases in the state. Parking at Watertown is almost as terrible as the seating. I've complained about parking since I started having to drive there. And not to mention the drive. Our whole district has at least a 2 to 21/2 hour drive to just get to watertown. The site should be determined by a gym that has nothing to do with this region. LIke some have mentioned Smith Co. or somewhere in Lebanon. There are gyms that are closer, bigger, and frankly better suited to host these types of games. JCounty and Clay CO both are bigger than Watertown and they still aren't suited for a region game. So how is it irrational??? I paid 5 bucks to watch two games and there was absolutely no room left in that gym expecially after the game was over. People were parked up and down the road. So it is irrational that some want a better seatin or better parking? We host our district tournaments at Livingston Academy with up to 5 schools and everyone's fan base there and have plenty of seating for everyone and plenty of parking.

The only thing I'm complaining about somewhat like devilfanatic is it does become an advantage when the team is relevant. I've said a million times I dont care where its at the better team will win, but that small advantage of them playing in their home gym, they gym they know better than any team is a bigger advantage than we give credit for. My biggest complaint is when 7A hosts the region No one has an advantage because it is basically played at a neutral site. Clarkrange I know plays in Livingston one time throughout the year, thats not much. The same argment would be said from everyone if JCounty was hosting region and playing in the ship. But ours is on a neutral site. Anyways its gonna be fun game thursday night. I wish your guys the best of luck regardless of the outcome in the sectionals and state (if that's made). Looks like it is Grace babtist and boyd buchanon in the other region that we will be playing.

Jcounty's gym is probably just as big if not bigger than Watertown. The school used to be AA so it has a fairly large gym. I've said the best team will win regardless of where the game is played. It could be at a park for all I cared just think it should be a neutral court at least for the championship game. Prolly everyone in 7A minus Crange and Monterey has about the same size gym as watertown if not bigger. I dont care if watertown has a hundred state championships lol. I just feel the Championship should be neutral. Our district hosts games at livingston. District tourney and Regions is there. Regardless the best team that shows up on that day will win the game no matter where its at.

i'm not whining about it. Regardless where its played the best team will win. But when 7a hosts the region it is in Livingston which is no Home floor of any district 7 team. There shouldn't be a home court advantage in the championship game no matter who is in it. CRange, JCounty, Clay no one should host a Region Championship game. You guys won the games you had to win and the Region just so happens to be at your gym so granted you get a home court Championship game. We're just saying its a little of an advantage to host a Championship game when no one in our district will ever host one. Regardless congrads to your guys on the win and we will see you thursday. It is. When we host region games they are at Livingston Academy. So there is no real advantage there Cause it's no one's home gym.

Definantly one of the best defensive performances I've seen by Clarkrange. Clay played great D as well. The two points that Clay scored in the second quarter being the only points that quarter was definantly the difference maker of the game. Watertown will be tough game Thursday since its basically a home quart game.

Crange boys pulled off what could be called an upset. Back to back substate years. Congrads to these men great game. Back to h2o town Thursday for shot at Jcounty or watertown

Haha this guy is a joke. Who let him in here with this second grade English. I've tried to be reasonable with everyone on here but you make it hard. Yes its hot. No we aren't and won't turn on the air. Its been this way since rogers had been a coach there. The gym is very small with every fan sitting on one side so that makes it hot. No girls want crange to win because they are consistently one of the best on the state. Here lately Jcounty has been much better. Our girls and boys get beat on our home floor so its not like its a huge advantage. In clarkrange there is nothing bigger than basketball. What are we going to cheer for? Football? If you don't like the heat show up early and get a decent seat otherwise sit up there with everyone else and watch the games

Its always hit in crange gym. Its supposed to be that way. The kids practice with it that hot for reasons. Its been hot in there for years. That has no effect on anyone. That's "hone court advantage" we don't adjust our temperature for the fans preference

Its one thing to get carried away. Heck I get carried away but when one of our fans sit right behind our boys bench and screams as loud as he can to a ref and says "you ain't worth a f***" over and over is a little much. That's what gives us a horrible image as fans.

I will agree that the fans, like usual, got carried away. It happens every game. But like we've been saying every team/school has those select few fans that can't sit and let the kids play. Refs make bad calls, they are human it will always happen. The refs did not decide that game. The kids decided that game. And as far as beating JCounty at home they probably did act like they won state. If you look back when is the last time CRange girls have beaten JCounty. It dont happen often much anymore and that is the biggest rivalry we have. But this isn't about JCounty and Crange girls. We can get off that garbage and let it go. those are the 2 best teams in the state and will prolly see each other once maybe 2 more times. This was about the great heart these two boys teams showed last night in what I think is the game of the year that I have been able to see.

Coach pile and gordonsville had a great gameplan but this is one I'll nit give the coaches. These kids on both sides had more heart than a lit of teams. For clarkrange to continuously be down by three in closing seconds and always find a huge three to tie it up was once in a lifetime. I give huge props to our pg stults. The kid never came out of the game and hit some huge shots in the OT's. I'm glad to see our boys pull it off but gordonsville certainly deserved to win just as much.

Congrads to JCounty for the win. I know I was glad to see Friendship finally put out early. Didnt witness the PC game but seems like 7A was close to the sweep. everyone missed a heck of a game in Gordonsville. I've not seen a game that good in a very long time.

What a game this was! Sure glad I got the privilege of watching this game. Seemed like Gordonsville had it won. Every time they would go up by 3 Stults or Edwards would hit a huge three and tie the game. 2 Overtimes, some clutch threes, and huge free throws later Clarkrange came out on top. Gordonsville played their heart out and were the better team for most of the second half. Unfortunantly someone had to lose and luckily Crange made the right plays at the end to hold on. On to Watertown Tuesday night to visit our dear friends from Celina for a shot at Substate. What a great game. I'm sorry for anyone that did not get a chance to go watch this game.

Definantly not looking forward to that drive. Expecislly when boys and girls play separate nights. Livingston is much closer lol. Good luck to the 7a girls and boys. Will be pulling for them all.

I promise I can't stand to watch crange lose a game, exoecially to Jcounty but sometimes they are the better team. It pisses me off to no extent to hear complaining about a ref. I've never witnessed a game where the refs decide the outcome of the game. Yes I complain about refs and bad calls, who don't? But there is a point where you realize there are 3 people watching 10 people do a million things. Stuff will be misses. Its missed in hs, its missed in college, its missed in the NBA. Like I always say you just got to adjust fire and play the game. I do see these teams meeting at least one more tine. Just depends what crange shows up in the big tourney if the meet for another. Either way both teams should at least be there. Obviously Jcounty is a superior team in the state so for even crange to give them a good game is sating something. I just like you guys wish our fans would wake up. It is embarrassing to say I am from the same place as some of these knuckle heads

I'm from crsnge (obviously) don't judge this whole school and fan base based off of some idiot fans. I'll be the first to say we do have probably the worst fans in the state. I'll give Jcounty credit for the win. Some of our fans on girls and boys side are ridiculous. Most are parents and a couple are parents from recent graduates. I'll never say names but yes they are horrible and do show horrible sportsmanship just because they can't stand getting beaten and out coached by the exact same team and same coach year after year. Jciunty has had our number. That's pretty much the only team we cant get past. But just font associate everyone with a select few idiots in the crowd. Great game by your girls and looking forward to the games tonight.

Clarkrange has beaten JCounty at their place the last two years, so how are you so positive that JCounty will win the game? Granted JCounty is a tough place to play but this is why we play the game. If Crange comes to play ball they'll beat JCounty just as the did at home. It will be a fun game to watch regardless. Nothing like district games.
