Blackman sweeps, Riverdale and Smyrna split, siegel sweeps.

I believe it should go back to 3 game series as well, It clearly defines the better team when you play a 3 game series and something else no one is bringing up is that baseball teams don't bring in money like football and basketball. The teams need to raise money , you see a lot bigger crowds at district games than these glorified scrimmage games everyone is playing now and the games mean something so they are so much better to watch.

I think Siegel will sweep the series no matter who is pitching those games, it will be hard but from what I have seen siegel's pitching isn't to shabby either and they simply don't make many mistakes and they hit the ball. To me they are good in every aspect of the game right now. I'm not saying Riverdale can't beat them , I'm just saying I don't think they will.

Siegel will sweep Riverdale they are for real. Riverdale is good and has great pitching but Siegel has a much better team.

Smyrna 19 Wilson central 9 in 10 inning scrimmage. #6 from Wilson Central hit 2 homeruns and threw well from the mound as well. Smyrna threw a lot of strikes, hit the ball and played good defense.

Oakland should win this district, followed by Riverdale who's pitching is strong they have more than 2 good arms there. Siegel will be in the mix for the 2nd spot, Blackman will surprise some with there pitching as Chase Murphy will play for Blackman this year with Austin Reynolds ,and Wheeler and Mitchell. Smyrna will be 4th or 5th could surprise some and get as high as 3 or 4 if pitching holds up ,they got a lot of good seniors . Lavergne and Stewarts creek at the bottom although the Stewarts creek team are very young and talented I think they are a year or two away. Gonna be fun to watch.

Did you send in the picture of Riverdale's catcher not tagging Smyrna's runner at plate in game 2. LOL Riverdale played a good series but it would have been nice to get a call like that right in 1 to 0 game.

Coach Darnell from Lavergne is sleeper that noone is talking about. Stewarts Creek must hire a certain percentage of teachers from Lavergne and will put together a great staff there and that area has alot of talent coming up, I wouldnt be surprised to see that hire.

I am pleased with the way Smyrna played when there starters played. Their starting pitching was solid this weekend and they played pretty good defense. Their hitting is not as bad as I thought it might be but still needs to improve, the bullpen will have to tighten up as well.

They should be good with all those players from the ib program, international baseball program , LOL, this is just some kiddin around , I like all of those guys good luck to them .

i would not know about rolling bats, isnt that cheating? What do we teach kids that play the game if we r rolling bats, whats the next advantage that they will seek. The first comment I made was just a joke but seriously if people are doing this what message are we sending to our kids.

I will throw some obvious names out there, Trevor Sutton - Riverdale, Ryan Schultz-Siegal, Alex Ward -Oakland, Hunter Martin -Blackman, Zack Bey-Smyrna I know there are more.

Just wondering who everyone felt will be the key players in district 7AAA this season?

Whoever gets the Stewarts Creek job is walking into a gold mine. The middle school program has been one of the best since the schools existance and all of that talent will actually get to stay together for once instead of splitting up to about 4 differant schools.Stewarts Creek and Blackman should become a big rivalry.

I agree Dale Burdick is the best around ,much better than Shefield at Tullahoma, sleeper is Alex Ward at oakland not as good as Burdick but he is also a Junior this year and I believe is going to have a monster season.

Riverdale Oakland Seigal Smyrna or Blackman Lavergne. Riverdale has the best starting pitching staff and pitching wins games with these bbcor bats, Oakland finished 2nd last year and returns almost all of their starters plus the addition Peyton Matroni who help them on offense and behind the plate, and Seigal seems to always be in the hunt no matter who they lose.
