This is why travel ball is bad. I've played on travel teams and rec teams. Travel teams just wanna win, and that's great to a certain level. I pitched in a tourny and pitched 3 of our 5 games. Two days later we started another tourny and had to play one of the best teams in the tourny and I had just come off pitchin a whole game and he wanted to start me. I told him that I didn't feel like my arm could handle it and that I was more confident if he pitched our #2 pitcher who hadn't pitched in about 4 days. The coach told me If i didn't pitch then I could pack my stuff and get off his (bad word) team. I packed my stuff and left. The coach cussed me and my parents. My ole team won the tourny and he pitched the #2 pitcher and they won 5-2. I then decided to play on a rec team my friends dad coached. We completely killed everyone and I had the most fun I had ever had playing sports. Our coach decided to go play in a few tourny's. We were in won and i hadn't pitched at all and we still made it to the championship. We were playing the swat or something like that. We got their and there was my ole team and the coach. I started that game and we won 7-4. The coach refused to shake my hand after the game. That is the only reason I don't like travel ball is the coach is all about winning at any expense. And with rec ball you play teams that are no where near the talent you should be playin. So i guess you have to take the good with the bad. High school favors more the travel team style so If I could go back I'd of liked to play a few more tourny's as a rec team. Because most rec teams are just as good as the AWESOME TRAVEL TEAMS. HAHA

Cosby is an awesome team. I was part of the blue crew and we were loud and Cosby still shot 70+% of the Free throw line. I don't see Hampton giving Cosby any trouble at all unless Cosby plays the game like they have already won by 50. Thanks old24eagle we tried our hardest to give our team their best shot at winning. Cosby is not overrated and neither is Wartburg. Both teams will most likely make state and I think will meet again in state.

Lester what kinda question is that????????? ME and you both know along with anyone who has ever seen Ryan play that that kid has got something special. and Derek he was the last pitcher I've ever caught and my hand still burns from time to time and that was like 7 years ago. HAHA . Derek is more of a Hitter and SS. Ryan is more of a pitcher lead off hitter. That's just my opionion but these kids can play anywhere.

Wartburg also beat them by like 16 when it really counted. Cloudland is playing really well right now, but remember their overall record is 9-12, and when Cloudland and Wartburg played in the summer Wartburg completely obliderated them, from what i hear. Cloudland lost 6 in a row and have now won 6 in a row. Their winning streak just like their losing streak will not carry past 6 games. Wartburg proved tonight that they are a real contender. Congrats to Cosby on playin good tonight. #44,#11,#24? you guys are three of the best players I've seen play this year. All of you guys have a good stroke and great Chemistry with each other. Hope you guys do good, and I hope Wartburg AND THE BLUE CREW get another shot and knocking off the best team in the state.

The guys name starts with M and W. haha. Ryan is a sophmore and I ain't sure how fast he throws but he has always thrown like 5 MPH faster than me and I'm throwin 73. I'd say sunbright will be one of the best teams in the district.

Ryan went to Sunbright with his older brother. I can't really hold it against him since he lives out there and to come to Wartburg just to play baseball wouldn't make him any better off. The guy you could be better off without played 3rd base for ya'll when you didn't, He also pitched. I'm not gonna say his name cause then the post will get deleted. You got any idea while Russ moved? I talked to him the other night and he said he moved to Rockwood but I didn't ask him why he moved. Well.... Ya'll should be tough this year and next, and I can't wait till we start playin cause Practice at the High School ain't like it was when we played down Petros.

I think the Wartburg Fans made the difference. The student section was huge and loud. I think they helped some on OS's shootin along with The dawgs awesome D. Last night just wasn't Os's night. Best of luck to both teams down Oneida.

Wartburg really came out to play last night. They kept the game under control and ended up winning by about 18. If Wartburg plays like they did last night I think they could keep their tourny lives alive. Congrats to Cosby on their win and Congrats Rockwood for keepin it close. I seen a couple people from both teams at the Wartburg OS game last night.

I'm not sure on his name because I only seen him play once. He played for the Knox Stars, and when pitchin against a team that I had several friends on they all laughed at him because he didn't look like much. Then a big fellow came and set infront of me and my best friend and I asked him who was he there to watch. He said he was there to clock the kid from the stars. At first I was puzzled because the kid had a good curve but didn't appear to have much heat. But the first pitch of the game he hit 82. Then he whipped a curve in. Next pitch was an 80. I want to think he kept his heat above 77 the whole game. The only reason that I remember what he threw to the first batter, is I know the kid pretty well and he laughed harder than anyone. He wasn't laughing when the kid struck him out in 3 pitches. . I wanna say Jacob but I don't know why. If anyone knows I'd like to know so I can follow him. Oh yea it was this summer.

Sunbright is alot better then what you think. and Micheal Paul was a great player don't mistake me at all, but he was very hittable. Micheal is one of the best players I've seen in high school around here, but Sunbright could hit him.
