Temple has an awesome program. I follow it from the other side of the state. I hope they continue their run. How many players on Temple are from Georgia? There was a post on CoachT that Temple has 4 players, or something, from Georgia is that true?

Are you talking about the point guard from South Fulton? He may be an NAIA player, but that is about as far as it will probably go. He is quick, but what I have observed he doesn't have very good floor vision. I would take the Hicks kid over him at Point Guard on his own team. Wilson is a good player and I'm not taking anything away from his speed. His decision making is questionable at best, in certain situations. He is a very good Class A ball player and does a good job for his team.

Westtn basketball... Greenfield over Trenton..because Doaks & maybe Partee aren't there?? That's absurd. The only reason Peabody won the 2nd game is because Greenfield missed 8 free throws in a row in the 4th and gave up a layup with a second left. The tournament at Lake County showed that no matter where you finish in the regular season, it's all irrelevant in the tourneys. I think it will be a good game, but I never thought of the 2 time defending region champs as underdogs yet. I think Lake County is the most dangerous team in the regions and will probably be the favorite, but that has been my thoughts since around the 2nd week in January. Is Partee off the team? I haven't heard that. I thought he was just disciplined 1 game for his actions at Lake County. Sisco won't sacrifice a chance at winning, by not playing Partee, because of his actions at Lake County. That would be too noble. I think Partee & Sisco will make up and he'll probably play. If he doesn't put him back in the lineup, email me and I'll buy you lunch. thumb

Over rated all year, poor attitude and he can't hit the 15 foot jumpshot. He is still an excellent high school center, but lacks other intangibles. I think that Shane should be considered from the West again (3x) or Webb.

Coach Angelos was named 15A Coach of the year by his peers. Being a fan of basketball, I applaud Coach Angelos' fire and even though his team record doesn't reflect it, he is a very capable and good coach. With all of the injuries and inexperience, his team played hard every night being out manned and out gunned. From a neighboring city, congrats to Coach Angelos.

Well played game by both participants. Quinton from Dresden scored 11 or 12 in the first quarter. The difference maker for tonight's contest. Both squads played hard and the fans were loud. Great Atmosphere. congrats to the Lions.

My sources say he got caught smoking at school. only a 1 game suspension.

I think he was suspended for one game for smoking at school?...SF needs him badly on the court.

Everybody has the vantage point of what they observed. I was wondering why Greenfield never really applied the press, but that for the pine leader. South Fulton gave a great effort, I noticed the big man getting cramps in the 4th. If there would have been a couple of more players, probably an even closer game.

I was at the game and didn't see any refs taking anyone out of the game. It wasn't a pretty game on either side, Shane did do a good job, but that is pretty standard. Reynolds stepped it up a notch last night, I hope he continues---but that is anyone's guess with him. If Hicks hadn't been torching the nets, it would have been a 20-25 point differential. I watched S. Fulton for many years and Driver always has them playing physical, so I come to expect to see several fouls against South Fulton. Granted there were some tick tack fouls as well, especially when you see people getting banged all night. I would like for more consistency as well, but how often do you really get that?

Webb will be developed into a good college player. But at this time, Put a body on him and push him around a little and you can defend him. West Carroll goes as their guards go. Webb is a class act on and off the court and no one has ever said he isn't, but that team hasn't faced the competition that the District 15 & 16 have. I hope WC makes it out of the region so they may have a chance at State, but we'll see. Bruceton exposed them badly and they don't have the talent that Middleton or the Jackson Schools have. I think Vaughan was wanting you to look outside of your West Carroll box and see the path through clear glasses. You have a D1 player that has great numbers and a mediocre supporting casts at best, in tournament times, the game plans change. Look what happened in Lake County last night. Opinions at no cost..lol

So did Lake County do anything to beat Trenton or was it a grand conspiracy? That sounds like alot of excuses for a wood shed beating to me. Trenton & West Carroll are overrated and have been all year. I've seen alot more antics from Sisco by kicking the bleachers & stomping than any other high school coach in Gibson County. I didn't like going to LC and playing, I don't like going to LC and watching & I don't even go through LC when I'm traveling. But teams, if they are that good, should rise above the venue. And if you gave an honest opinion, I bet ya the ref Boykin leaned toward Peabody, and I wasn't even there..lol..go figure thumb

That may be the longest post I've seen in a while. OK, your broadcast are still biased, but I appreciate that fact because you call those local games on a regular basis. As long as you stay as neutal as "Paul Tinkle" you'll be ok in my book!! LOL

I agree withyou about who Greenfield would probably rather play, but it is no gimme that Greenfield will beat Dresden. Dresden matches up well with Greenfield and even in the game they lost to Greenfield, they were in at the end, not to mention they went to Greenfield near the end of the season and won by 3. Peabody isn't out of it, because of the ejection of Doaks, they still have some quality players and sometimes incidents like that will rally a team. That 's why they play em....

Is anyone familiar with this rule? If this is true, what a critical error in judgement. That can change a game plan fast. If anyone has infomation on this rule, please post. thanks

Lake county too young? Have you seen their schedule? No, they don't pad their stats by putting up 40 points a game for individuals in blowouts. I hope my team doesn't see Lake County until the championship of the regions. I've watched them play 3 times this year and they are for real. If Doaks is out for 2 games, because of his ejection, I feel it is a great possibility that Trenton will be gone in Round 1 of the regionals. I would put Lake county, Halls, Greenfield and Dresden against Peabody or West Carroll and feel comfortable. thumb

I understand that the player got the first technical for dunking (after being called for a 4th foul, he continued down the court and dunked well after the whistle blew) and the Tech got him the 5th. After this 5th foul, on the way to the bench, he was mouthing at the refs and received his 2nd Tech. Does this help?

Must have been a fast paced game as usual. Did CC play defense?..lol...or are the Chargers that good?...congrats to Westview..I can't remember the last time I observed a 104 points in a playoff game in high school girls' basketball...kinda crazy ain't it??
