  1. Unfortunately probably not gonna be a close game. From what I have heard Webb is like Webb, tough and fast and always good coaching. BGA is definitely young and to add to things, greatly injured. Had two boys that had surgery just last week. Most of the starting lineman are out and will stay out it seems. I do hope it's close but just think Webb will be too much for us. Good luck to you guys.
  2. Those are the ones, thanks for adding the pic. My price would eliminate taxes and shipping and around 10-15 more dollars.
  3. I have a pair of the new Varner/Adizero, royal blue-black for sale. Size is 11.5. I pre ordered them in late October and just received them. Unfortunately my son is no longer wrestling. I am asking $100.00 for them. I don't think you can find them in stores and they are more than I am asking on line. If you are interested please send me a text. I can send pics of the shoes if needed. I am located in the Nashville area and could possibly meet in the area. Thanks. Ryan Simpson 615-630-3174
  4. I think they very well could beat BGA. I didn't realize they were such rivals until we dropped back down. I don't know the complete past of the two. My son has been at BGA since the sixth grade and he is now a junior. Past two years I have noticed it. Should make for a good game. First thing they have to get past Webb and then Ezell. It's kinda cool there may not be that strong number one right now and we get to see how it all unfolds.
  5. I agree, don't want to take away DA's play but that has got to be one of the worst game performances I have seen from BGA. I think they had around six turnovers. Clay was off and since they are small at the line positions couldn't get the run game going. Just a bad night overall. They can reel it in with a good game against Webb, I think. Looks as though FRA may be the team to beat. They have been playing well so far. Going to be interesting to see how everything plays out.
  6. I say Webb by at least two touchdowns. No matter how young or how small the roster Webb has, I have learned they are always well disciplined and play their game very well. DCA is having a very rough year. Small roster and from what I have been hearing, just too many mistakes.
  7. These rankings have been very odd to say the least. I understand Ensworth is down this year, they would still beat some of these teams. I hear Webb is young also but until someone in single A beats them, they are still number one. Not sure who or what is generating these rankings but they are off. I would like to see a separated ranking for division 2, I don't believe I have seen that this year.
  8. Can we somehow get the team standings from anywhere? Thanks.
  9. Is there anyone that can give the overall bracket finishes and overall team. Thanks
  10. Dennis Green said it first. Webb is who I thought they were. Disciplined, hard nosed and well coached. Congrats to the Spartans! Maybe we can get back next year and see them again. Again congrats to Webb.
  11. We (BGA) actually could have won basketball last year in either single or double A. They beat Ensworth pretty good during regular season. But back to football. As much as it's hard for me to do, I agree with Vols, I think Webb is where they should be. Last year when we played them I really think I only counted around 24 or so players on their team. I for one wouldn't want to see them go back up. They are a good, well disciplined good coached team every year and that's what everyone should strive for. You don't or at least I haven't heard MBA or BA saying let's get rid of Ensworth. We can't just take all the number ones and move to their own bracket because eventually there will be a new number one for everyone to complain about and then what. I think we definitely fit in the single A not because of school size but because of our school philosophy. We fit here all around and I think that's why we are doing well. School size does matter but it can also hurt you. For example Glenciff high school, big Metro school but because of their cultural diversity they can only get about 30 to come out for football. You could make an argument that they should be reclassified. If that schools philosophy were to change and they really got that program to step up then they would fit where they are at. If Webb philosophy changed and they began to pull kids from some of the other schools in that area then maybe they could move back up, but for now I think they are the perfect team to chase, and hopefully in another great game on Thursday, beat!
  12. Hopefully this will be a good one again. I think Webb has the edge because they have been there before. Not sure how the turf plays into things but it's possible it makes BGA a little faster. I do think they have to play mistake free, Webb doesn't make many mistakes, they are very disciplined as you guys know. Ready for a great game!
  13. First off to call someone a puss on a web site behind a user name is tasteless! My son goes to BGA and I was also at that game. Coach Batten let the refs decide whether or not the game gets cancelled or continues. Also he let Webb's coaches which I am sure he is glad you (vols) don't represent find out what and how the outcome would affect his squad. The storm was pretty bad and know one including you probably wasn't sure if it would stop. He as a coach also has to take into consideration how the field was affected by the storm. Two issues, one will players get hurt on the surface and two repairs that the field would need afterwards. You may not agree that those are issues but that's what coaches have to take in mind. Furthermore as far as his boys getting knocked back maybe you were watching a different game because both teams were smashing each other. Maybe you also missed the play where the QB for BGA jumped over the corners head on his way to the end zone and was flagged for leaving his feet. That was a great game and it came down to the last 16 seconds. I credit Webb and their coaches. Maybe if we play again you will feel big enough to Coach Batten a puss to his face. Maybe if you come find me ( Ryan Simpson ) not scared to give you my name you could try calling me a puss. Doubt it though!
  14. KublahKd, I agree with you. Fact is look at every division of football in the state. You have your top teams every year. What should we do, take them all and put them in their own division? No, other teams should watch what they do and figure out how to beat them. I went to a Metro public school and my son goes to a private. I can tell you that the public has just as much if not more talent than a lot of the privates. It comes down to coaching and discipline. That's why Webb plays well year in and year out.
