Heard through the grapevine that Stone Memorial loss was the last straw with some of the parents of those kids at WB and the reason a bunch went looking elsewhere to play. Sad thing was some of those parents found out the hard way about the transfer rules and their virtually stuck where their at or they would been long gone. Cold hard facts is if Loudon County opened the border to Blount County Residents WB would lose half their football team overnight and they know it to.

No I haven't but can't wait til August 31th and I hit the door there with a hand full of coupons yelling winner winner I want my chicken dinner.

I've laid it all out for you and shouldn't be hard to understand. Heritage will go 0-10 or 1-9. Sevier County is dealing with the same issues as WB far as head coach goes. The guy won't leave and no one will fire him while he continues to destroy their program. Lenior City is starting to fall back into its place since Satterfield left. Morristown West is another former giant that is nothing but a name from the past. McMinn County is very beatable because WB beat them last year. Cleveland will take this new coach a year or two to get that program rolling again after all the damage that happened under the old coaching system. I can see 5-5, 6-4 and yes 7-3 if they could just reach out and steal one from one of those four other teams. If they go 2-8 or 3-7 then the train would have crashed somewhere down the line as it always has in the past but let's hope not.

Please remember I still have that sweater vest I had to wear to those GCA games back in 2015 and 16 in the closet somewhere.

Someone better tell Big Ed Maryville's rolling into town week after next and it may be wise to make a double order on Pizza Dough the day before.

Gov I'm always on board until the train crashes. I remember very well in 2014 when Fulton beat Bearden 84-0 and Maryville won 62-0 and then the following week WB travels over to Knoxville and gets beat 14-34 against a team that was 0-9. Other famous crashes was 2016 against Oakland in the playoffs when Shad invited half the team not to make that trip and they took him up on it and get killed 0-63. The very next year in 2017 opening game at Lenior City ended up in a crash or "Up In Smoke"18-34 and they lose their best up and coming player in years over a situation that wasn't handled very well and if that's not enough they took a week off practice and got beat by McMinn County 14-35 for two famous crashes in one season. 2018 they go to 4A Stone Memorial and crashed 0-27 and a few of the survivors ended up down the road at Greenback. It's a new season but in the back of everyone's mind they have to be wondering where the crash will happen this year.

William Blount should win half of their games this season and really should be six if they want them bad enough. Maryville, Bradley, Ooltewah and Elizabethton should be their only loses. Heritage and Sevier County should be two easy wins. Mo West and Lenior City should be two more wins. WB beat McMinn last year so why can't they this year. Cleveland has a new coach and a great time to catch them with their pants down.

Well Maryville has went out and done the impossible today but they did it. They've lured me back into buying a season ticket and not only that it's one of the best eight tickets in the house. The real capper is the Bojangles buy one get one free coupon on the back of the ticket. Everyone knows Bojangles is my home away from home. Not only that I'll be setting in the Old Money section where those people just throw those coupons down on the ground as their leaving to go hobnob at the Walnut Kitchen or where ever they go.

Be honest with you I don't know but everytime a job opens someone finds out when he applies which should tell he isn't happy there. I'm sure he is a fine coach and I really hate it for him Blackman parted company with him because they really haven't been what they were since he has left. WB has crappy support from the very top and it would take someone special to fix the mess that others have caused.

Depends on how you look at it. Applying for a job just down the road in some people's eyes would be like cheating on your spouse especially when all the nosey neighbors talk and brother do they like to talk. Maybe WB officials love playing the part of submissive in this strange relationship and know he'll be back home after all the applications have been filled.

Someone might want to pass that word on to the Judges at Blount County. I was at First Tennessee yesterday and thought it may be faster to swing through the Justice Center and catch the light but it turned green and the the car in front of me was on the phone talking not paying attention so I had to blow the horn so he would remember he was in a car not his office. The license plate plainly had Judiciary on the bottom of it. Maybe him and whoever he was taking to was about the New Donut Store opening down the street.

I scored a Touchdown this morning. I drove close to the curb and splashed the Donut Man and gave him a bath.

Don't forget the new Duncan's Donut Shop opens tomorrow morning in Maryville. I expect Red Rebels to be there at 5 A.M. sharp.

Thanks RW. Except for the Alcoa game those three scrimmages are better than anything left on the schedule. Speaking of Alcoa I heard a few football players decided to stay with baseball only and not go back out for football.

Not sure where it is but I enjoy the scrimmages a hundred times more than the jamboree. Hope RW will post the dates again when and who we play in scrimmages.

My honest opinion about Heritage is that Hamontree cancelling 9th grade and JV games last year may have sealed his coffin for the future. Heritage is in 6A . not 1A with Jellico and Sunbright where that is the norm. William Blount has entered the Twilight Zone the past ten years and each coaching staff has had it's share of problems. Going to be straight honest about the current situation. We have a guy in charge that is living off his past where the gardens he planted in Rutherford County had lots of D1 talent that could make any coach look good. Not saying he is bad but let's be honest, this job comes with a lot harder task then showing up and feeding kids a bunch of baloney about how you made an All American out of Jauan Jennings. Eventually you would think the grown ups down there would get tired of it also but this should be the season you win 4 to 5 games. The last game of the season in 2018 just rolled my stomach like something from the Taco Bell. I do pull for all four of these schools in Blount County and it just makes me sick as a dog to go and get the crap beat out of you by a weak 4A school like they did. The taking off for a vacation year before last was something I would never forget long as I live but if there is a place you could get away with it he's at the right school. What's done is done so I say get over it and move on and hope this will be the group to pull WB out of this sinkhole they have slipped into ten years ago. If for some reason this team goes backward from last year's team then I believe it should be time to take a serious look and make some decisions about the future.

It hurts inside to watch William Blount and Heritage programs turn into a what used to be Union County type situation where losing becomes the norm. If Campbell County and Union County can be rescued there is no reason Heritage and WB can't.
