The only disrespect or lack of class that I have ever seen from Coach Parkey is when he was disrespected. He always treated people with utmost respect, so long as it was returned. I recognize that he was a role model, but I think that he displayed, very well, that people should never stand to be disrespected. I have heard some hilarious stories, but there was always an instance of provocation. None of us can say that all parties were being respectful. I know what you are talking about and why you are coming from this point of view...and I think they've always had a love/hate relationship...not so much love...but at least they were civilized, but we know that those two knew how to push each others buttons. I don't feel as if that one instance disenfranchised him whatsoever. As one of his previous players, I can say that so long as we showed him respect, which no one ever thought to do otherwise, he respected us. I just don't think that someone who saw Coach Parkey a few times in their entire life could successfully judge his character. To bring it into perspective, imagine that someone saw you on your very worst day, and judging you for how you acted, discredited your life accomplishments. Just a thought...

Please, enlighten us. I would like to see a list of the most successful and competative coaches in Tennessee without his name on it. Impossible.

Sadly, yes. He and his longtime assistant coach Gary Harmon announced their retirement on senior night.

He also said that his team had a losing record this season. I'm sure G-P's coach didn't watch us play 4 times in regular season. Pretty confident that UC coach didn't either.

Well, he (Mr. V 1) has made many statements leading me to think it was him. I'm not sure, but pretty confident that I'm right. He said he had seen us play more than 4 times and that he was a coach...and he made those statements in regular season...not alot of coaches came to any of our games unless they were playing us that night. Apparently they didn't think we were a real threat. I guess they got proved wrong

I thought all of the girls from PF played well in the tourny. They were very deserving of awards, especially MVP...She played great..better than I've ever seen before...Congrats again on the win..Good luck next week!

First of all, for a coach to instruct another player to do something like that is pathetic. If you can't play with them don't ruin the rest of their season. About (mrv1) I'm pretty sure that's Mr. Vannoy from Cumberland Gap and he probably knows exactly what he's talking about because all of that was already decided last week...or so I was told. On another note, I wouldn't find it surprising if Bowman did get district MVP. I have alot of respect for the players at PF and they are very talented, but in my opinion none of them have played well consistently like Bowman. It doesn't matter if the MVP is on the winning team or not. PF plays as a team. All 5 players contribute pretty evenly on the floor, making hard to see a stand-out. That might be hard for you guys at PF to swallow, but that's how it goes sometimes and it's obviously working out to your advantage so I wouldn't be too upset. What's a trophy anyway?
