I hate to say this but I agree. Over the last 5 or so years that place has started looking rough. Definitely embarrassing. I'm not a big Mintz supporter but he was sorely working on those things. From the outside looking in it appeared that Mintz didn't have the fire to coach up a young bunch. Hope the next guy is different
White House beat Melrose in the finals. If I remember correctly they were out executed and out hit. Melrose had better athletes but not better players.
Having seen both play I'd say Pearl wins by 28 or more. Defense was too big, too fast, too physical and very well coached. The M'ville team the next year would've been a great game
Creek wood hammered Cheatham. 34-14 I think. Cheatham went backwards most of the first half. Defense didn't play much better. Cheatham looked REALLY bad. I think 5 freshmen started on defense and it showed
God I hope you're wrong!! Cheatham was picked to finish second to last in the region by Murphy Fair this year. Any worse than that would put me in a mental institution
You obviously still haven't learned how to quit being a crybaby. Stewart has a tough schedule and they aren't that good of a team yet. They'll win this game but probably get beat up on a lot. It happens guru. I know you think Finely is TN's answer to Vince Lombardi but he's not. They'll get better under him but they have a long way to go. Just my opinion based on facts. Good luck to them this year.
Sycamore probably doesn't have 40 players. Saw them at the jamboree against Jo Byrns. They run the spread and aren't very good at it yet. Defense isn't bad but I'll take Trousdale by a few scores.
I assume all the Fairview guys came out of the first game injury free. They'll need to play with fewer mistakes this week. Luckily for them Cheatham played equally sloppy ball. Camden won't make as many mistakes. I'd like to see the Yellowjackets pull this one out. Hard playing teams are my favorite and they definitely are that.
23 is tough. Like that kid! Hope he has a great season. Cheatham is pretty sophomore and freshman strong so it should be a tough game for a few more years.
Willie probably did trash talk. He's had problems with that before. Zimmerman had his own share of words. I think the rest of the team just played hard and well. Had a great second quarter. Actually I think Fairview had 3 turnovers. Maybe two fumbles and an interception.
Well I thought those passes were extremely accurate from Ryan Christmas. I thought Fairview players tough hard and respectful football all night. I was a little disappointed with Zimmerman. He done more trash talking than I like but it's not a huge deal. Fairviews line played very well. That and costly turnovers cost the Cubs... But that's football.
unless Stewart is worse than last year you'll be fine. Houston dressed 19 at the jamboree and most of those guys were fairly small. Best pre game screamers I've ever heard though!
Glad to hear its nothing major. Just tell him to avoid the stiff arm tonight. Dislocated my thumb doing that. On a side note the field at Cheatham is looking better. It took a beating this winter and barely survived. All the scrimmages were on one side of the field this summer so it could try and grow.
You might like things melting in your mouth after 3 minutes but in Cheatham we just line up and play. Leave the complaints and excuses to other weaker individuals.
