That would be my thinking as well but we (whitehaven) have not been so fortunate to have that label. We are not new to this. All the teams over the past few years people thought we couldn't beat with the exception of Ravenwood, we have beat!! And right now I haven't heard anything from them but yet we are still here and very relevant. ..yes we lost a close game to another state champion, but there is not one team in this top ten we can't beat. Obviously we are not given credit for being cHamps or the fact that we beat some good teams in the process. Which should determine who starts out #1. You can't say oh you lost to Lausane is the reason, no its not!! Not knocking them at all but we beat the team that knocked out maryville last year and beat them this year so how are they not behind us??? Come on now!!!!

In other sports news they have been shooting a football movie at the Haven the movie about Brian Banks young man that got accused of rape when he was in high school I think the last day of shooting is today they have been using ourschool and stadium for the football parts.... the guy that played wren in the movie Straight Outta Compton is also in the movie I saw him the other day.

they back, was basically one game suspension. After a couple conferences with parents they let RB back. He's been in trouble before but it was gone rough losing your best player goin in the playoffs

The thing Yall don't understand about Da Haven this year is we are a young team. Our best players mostly are sophs....throw a couple seniors and juniors in the mix and there you have it....we just get the most out of them Plus they are champions and know what it takes to get there. No we haven't been lighting up the score board, but we haven't given up alot of points either...may not be pretty in the eyes of some, but I tell you one thing, it won't be easy as you may think!!! But I do think it will be tougher for us than any other year

And I think we would have to come there this year so it will be interesting to see. ...

Man I told yall cordova defense was garbage!!!! They can put up points and if you have a high powered offense they gone give up just as many points. Looks like it was a good game without any defense on both sides!!!

Dude that havenview vs white station middle game was one fur the ages. The game was over in regulation but had to play the refs in OT!!! I won't even get into that because it goes far beyond football!!! But yea due to injury mark's football career is over, and now he's gettin his feet wet in coaching. He been doin a good job calling plays the past couple games. The second coming of mark Dotson is his cousin at sherwood middle. That youngster is special. The view willhave its hands full against them in the ship!!!!

The sopH got the nod. He didn do bad just the timing was off and was to be expected...central actually has a good defense as well. They front can compete with anybody. They didn give either QB alot of time to work with. OC keep it very simple especially for the soph so the stats won't jump out at you except for keyshawn Aka "bronco" #33...he was the horse.

I only used douglas because they are a small school...but anyone who has a good offense has put up 4TD'S or more on them. They D is their Achilles heel. I'm the one that said they were garbage. Giving up 30 to 40pts a game is not my idea of a good D....but I did say it could be a shootout if PC has a weak D as well, in which case I'll give the edge to cordova because of the run game.

If PC has a good offense with some real dawgs up front. No way cordova holds them to 14pts...even douglas put up 42pts on them.

Yes they can pass, but you make then one demensional and the ball is in your court. If they get 2 to 300yds rushing and 200yds passing it's no way you will beat them. They are well balanced but no one other than us (WHS) has been able to shut down their run game, which they back is already over 1000yds rushing....don't know how fast yall are on Defense but PC gone have to play good football...goin blow for blow may not be a good idea, unless, as I said they have a quick strike offense.

Cordova defense is garbage...but can PC stop cordova RB??? Thats the big question and the difference in this game. Who defense gone show the most. Cordova put up alot of points, but they give up alot points as well...you can score on cordova easy, but can you stop them?? Whitehaven has been the only team thus far to shut them down completely these last couple years.

Southwind are pretenders...plus they goin up against chester flowers who put together something solid over there. Size wise SW has the edge but chester is a smart man that is one of the best in the biz at running a offense....I think kirby will pull this out

The only way we put up over 30 is the D has to get alot of 3 and outs!! We can't let them have long drives....if chris get over 200 yds rushing it could be possible. But this is always a tough game. But they have lost 2 coming off a bad loss and having to face us at this point may play on the minds...a tough team to face trying to get back in the win column.

Whoever has the strongest Defense will win. If PC cant stop the run, and get big stops, then they better have a high powered and quick strike offense because it's gone be a high scoring game. Cordova is very physical on offense. I've heard alot about PC over the years so this should be interesting!!

One thing for sure. Our D hasn't lost they appetite!!! They still hungry. They played great against Lausanne and will be great against east. We just have to take care of the ball. Chris will do what he does. Bottom line is we moving on, and still will be a force.
