That's right and i wish that that's all that had to be said, BUT if the protest stands we are done. Are season is over. It might be a morale victory for other teams to show that Halls isn't invicible, but that's just not good enough for us.

From my understanding it is a combined 10 innings, but if not that would be great. Also, the automatic penalty of a forfeit seems kind of stupid. Nichols got ONE out and faced two batters in the inning that was illegal. We, up to that point, had played better than Halls. To penalize us one season for one out seems kind of extreme.

All i am saying is do you honestly think that Karns (who i know we just lost to but that was a terrible game that we played), Clinton, or Cambell County could beat Halls? They would still make the District championship even without this win.

Jason Nichols pitched 3 & 1/3 innings against Karns. Today, he pitched 6 & 1/3. As far as the effect, if Halls wins the protest they are still undefeated in the tournament. Also, Oak Ridge's season will be over. I myself think this is kind of low, maybe it would be worth it if Oak Ridge had no losses or there was another team in this tournament that could threaten Halls. As it is, Halls will play Clinton then Karns. It would stink to see our season end like this.
