  1. Someone enlighten me on why fans traveling is so important to you fellas. You guys always focus on everything but the game when Trezevant or other Memphis teams make it this far. Let these kids shine just like you want yours to without all this bs about "Memphis City Schools", being safe, and how they travel. Come Saturday at kickoff, none of that matters. Shame on y'all with your dog whistle statements!
  2. Not good with this quoting stuff. But, yes he does attend Trezevant and has since his 9th grade year. Like I said, nobody sends their kid to Trezevant to play football if they don't live in the district. It's located in one of the worse parts of Memphis. Why don't you spend a day walking the halls at Trezevant and see what these young men overcome on a daily basis. Open invitation for everyone on here. I'm sure they would welcome you with open arms. And you can see for yourself if he's there.
  3. I know for a fact folks at Trezevant respect not only Liberty but West Tn football as a whole. A lot of tough battles IN FOUR-A with you all, dyersburg, Crockett, westview, and Haywood just to name a few. Apologies if you felt slighted.
  4. The one thing alot of you don't realize is, Trezevant plays with the kids in their neighborhood ONLY. nobody is coming from another part of town to go to school or play at t high. As a matter of fact, there are probably about 10-15 players across the city making HUGE contributions for other teams that live in Trezevant's district. Y'all would really hate us if they stayed home! So, yes some of you are correct. T high doesn't compare to Alcoa or the great Maryville. We don't have the parent support, resources, or facilities that an average school has, let alone the before mentioned teams have. The fact that for last 7 years, Trezevant has competed at this high of a level is impressive in itself. And if you look at the schedule over those years, you will see that most non district games are against QUALITY 5a n 6a schools where they not only competed but won a lot of them. So quit looking for reasons to throw stones. And for the record, the last classification, Trezevant was 3a playing up in 4a. Coach was gonna jump up to 3a, but the principal overruled it. Don't be mad cause they chose to play where they should be. Alcoa has done a great job building a program and wants to challenge themselves after all of them gold balls by moving up. Some of you are just mad because you know deep down inside your team doesn't stand a chance as long as t high is playing, so you are looking for reasons to diminish what these kids are doing on the field. They are playing the hand dealt to them in life. Everybody can't be from Suburbia or small town USA where football is life. I thought we trying to make America great again. Let's support one another.
  5. I agree. There were special circumstances this year though with Hillcrest and Mitchell bring suspended from the playoffs. TSSAA split 10 teams up in 2 districts in Memphis as well. Top 4 make it. Thats fair to me though. It wouldn't be fair to make one of these schools travel to West TN teams during the years. I'm sure they prob thought all of this through and somewhere along the lines this was the best plan.
  6. Can someone explain to me where all this talk was years ago before Trezevant became a household name in TN. Did there just start being 2A schools in Memphis? Where was all this talk when West TN teams and private schools were using and still use all the Memphis 1A and 2A teams for cash games. I.e. North side, Carver, MLK Prep, Douglass, Fairey, Hillcrest, MAHS.....must I continue? A lot of these schools have losing records because they play in these "cash" games. ChecK their schedules and see for yourself. It's 10 times tougher than most of YOUR schools. One school has a good couple of years and people want to change things. Let's these kids enjoy their 15 minutes of fame! Geesh
  7. I think we should all move on from congratulating or criticizing these Bears.....I'm sure Coach White and his staff have moved on and are focused on becoming better coaches so they don't blow it next year with that monster team coming back. I'm sure the kids will just show up and August and do it all over again despite bad coaching and no offseason preparation (like they did 3 out of the last 6 seasons). So let these young men enjoy their 8 month vacation.
  8. @Reitzfan. I know the staff at T-High. I think they get a bad rap from some of the CoachT posters. They have nothing but respect for every team in the state that they have played over the years. Hopefully you and all the other posters on here address these guys as individual fans and not as a representation of Bear Nation. I know Coach White will have those boys working hard this offseason. Hopefully they will be back in the big game because of it.
  9. @truthprevails. The comment wasn't for you then sir. There have been racial tones in some of the comments on here. Just because certain slurs are not being used, don't mean the comments are not racist. The criticism that T-high takes is totally different from any other school on this website. And racism will always exist. People are just afraid to admit. Not talking about is not answer. There is no answer. And that my friend is pretty sad. I'll just continue to do my part to raise my children to accept everyone for who they are and understand that not everyone will see life the way you see it.
  10. I don't do much typing on here, but I've watched 117 pages of T-high bashing. A couple of facst for everyone: 76-17 record over the last 6 years. 1 State Championship, 2 State Runner-ups, 1 semifinalis appearance, 1 quarterfinals appearence. Find any other team across the state with "terrible coaches" with that resume. (I'll wait). T-high does have a stud and some other great athletes. Name a powerhouse that doesn't. (I'm not waiting this time because you can't). There are plenty of schools in Memphis with better and more athletes than T-high. Someone explain to me why they aren't winning consistently like T-high. Both teams played a great game yesterday. Mistakes were made on both sides. Sorry T-high didn't win the way YOU thought they should win. But they did. So quit tryna find ways to bash them. They cleaned the nonsense up from 2010, and you guys keep coming up with different ways to criticize them. Just say congrats, and keep you backhanded compliments to yourself!
  11. DHS.....didn't your team lose as well. Why are you in another topic badgering other people? Your team played 1 of the toughest schedules in the state and went out in the same round as PC. Get a life. Matter of fact. Get your suit ready for the banquet next week!
  12. I agree. Turnovers will kill you. Not being able to stop the run does as well. Trezevant ran the ball down an unimpressive liberty defense all night. 383 yards worth. Make sure u tell the whole truth when reporting the game on here. And while LT did have some success on trezevant's d, they were definitely outplayed and outclassed all night minus the 2 scoring drives. Congrats on a good season though. The future looks bright for you all with #13 running the show. Star in the making.
  13. Like I said before, I'm just happy the thoughts and opinions of others and the rankings won't affect the outcome when the playoffs get here. So we'll wait until then. For now, we all are just some outsiders looking in on a bunch of youngsters enjoying football on Fridays. Looking @ the stats, they looked pretty darn good Friday if you ask me. It was 40-0 @the half against Fairley. The Jones kid had 200 yards on 8 carries. You guys won't discuss that though, because a totally different group of kids 4 years ago made some horrible choices. And yes, the seniors this year were 9th graders, but I doubt any of them played in 2010. I'm just happy everyone on here has lived a perfect life and can talk about what some people did as teenagers.
  14. That's bologna! These young men were in middle school when trezevant played in the championship game.
