Classless

I don’t know what the coaches did at the half but I wished they had done it before the game. The second half was some of the most exciting football I’ve seen at YAI in a long time.

I went to the spring game they had twobpaid coaches in staff. How does a school only have two paid coaches. Maybe the new director will allow them to hire some qualified teachers that can coach as well.

I agree why would they not. I hate the idea of going East for games and having to deal with time changes

I talked to Previous last year and he said they’d move if they were 2a. I’m sure the new staff would to why would they not. The 3a region would be terrible with travel 2a would give them even a better travel budget than they currently have. With the projections Meigs county would be the furthest travel if they are in the same region. Only draw back I see is the time zone difference on most region games.

It was on the radio here this morning York has been shut down till the 14th due to a positive COVID case. I doubt there will be a complete season. I pray for the young man with the diagnosis and the team that is an isolated case.

If they have hired a coach supposedly why are they not announcing? Has there been try outs?

Halfway through the fourth quarter and York has scored 9 points in the second half. Five point game at the half. Frustrating!!!!

Nothing has been announced. I’ve heard interviews were end of last week. Nothing like wasting the time in the weight room.

Heard yesterday at church that interviews were conducted on Thursday and Friday. Had about 18 or 19 applicants (5-6 interviews). Not heard any names but the one on staff already. If I were a betting man he will be the coach. From what I can gather has some head coaching experience in Las Vegas but not real successful. I hope they make a good hire and hope the community and the kids will get on board with whoever the school chooses.

Health issues. Great coach he is loved in the community. Had he not resigned he would have had this job as long as he wanted it. Loved in the community!!! I really hope they make a good hire. Have a lot of Tallent returning and a lot coming up from the middle school.

I don’t know who is a good fit. I am just going by the talk on the street. If kids are getting out of the weight program based on the perception of who the coach will be I’m guessing that’s not a good fit. It may be natural progression of high school kids changing their mind but it’s not usually your upper classmen getting out.

From the talk at the basketball game last night what I stated previously is true. Players have already began getting out of the weight program. I was really hoping for a good hire but it looks like promotion from within.

I’ve heard one of the assistants has been saying he is in line. A lot of talk of boys quitting if this is the case. I hope they make a good hire.

They were all there. Our boys have ran the same offense for 15 years. They make the same mistakes game and game out. They had a terrible night shooting the ball and it cost them a huge district game. Not sure if Macon always shoots as well as they did last night.

I agree you all looked to recover the kick but from my seat I have know idea If he was in bounds or not and the knee down I think that’s just quick whistle. I thought there should have been a double personal foul about mid field but just York got it. Refs are humans I don’t think it was a terrible game officiating wise though. Good game by your boys good luck the rest of the way.

Well I’ve missed all the fun this week. Hoping I get to go tonight this should be a donniebrook. Hoping for a Dragon win and praying for an injury free game. GO DRAGONS!!!!

Sounded like a very physical game. Radio said tonight is the cost defensive touchdown York had given up. Winning in Carthage isn’t easy wished I could have seen it! GO DRAGONS

There is a lot of ball for both teams before they meet. If they are both Undefeated in the region I do believe I will burn some personal time for that game.

What a bad week to be out of state working. I don’t know a lot about the owls have gotten to see York twice this year. Always one of my favorite games to watch, it’s always closer than expected. Hoping York pulls it out!!! GO DRAGONS I’ll be streaming it from the Mountains of Colorado.

How’s it gonna shake out this year? A lot of coaches in new places should be interesting.

What offense did they run in the spring game? How did they look. York didn’t do a spring game to my knowledge I was hoping to see how they looked, but didn’t get the chance.

I’m thinking this is the first time in a long time YAI has had anyone make all state. Great job Heath!!!!!!
