  1. Good luck to whoever and whenever the new guy takes over. Too much whining and complaining going on whether people are for or against the Govs.
  2. That defensive starter has not dressed yet this week, don't expect to see him. Do expect to see the Govs offense to be on track with only one QB playing. If the offense comes to play, Govs will roll, 45-14
  3. You people are a joke. Maryville has easily been the best team in the state over the last decade and your fans, parents, students have to sit back and make wisecracks on the teams they defeat. At Thursday nights game, the student section was cussing and yelling at the WB players and now you are worried about 8 minute games. Have any of you thought to look down from your throne and think, just for a second, that maybe the idea of 8 minute quarters was to get your sorry butts off the WB campus?
  4. I can't disagree with you. The talent is here, more than last season at least. Players need discipline and guidance. Was great to see Bailey Short get some receptions, he works hard and should be used as more than a decoy, he could be a weapon. Still saw some of the other receivers jogging or standing still when the play was in the other direction making it pretty obvious what was about to happen. If the Govs can find the mix of what works and use it right the offense will be scary. The jump balls thrown to Graham could not have been any better. Crossing routes were open and used, maybe a #2 WR was found?? Both Tipton and Bryant ran well between the tackles. It is coming together guys, just focus on this week versus last week. Improvement.
  5. Boys played hard tonight, no doubt. Started off in the same position as last week, just with a much smaller RB working the middle and ends. Daniels looked pretty good taking command and leading the team down the field, but we need to put 7s on the board more often. Bryant was a wrecking ball, maybe let him carry the load a bit more.
  6. No doubt the outcome was not based on the play of the athletes, at least the majority of them anyway.
  7. Dont panic yet. Nobody would have their panties in a bunch if the adjustments were made a quarter and a half earlier on Friday night. Ridge saw that changes needed to be made, and they were. The giant hole in the defense disappeared after halftime, but should have went away after the first drive. Everybody is screaming defense, but the offense couldnt put up points on a tired, cramping, less talented team either.
  8. Yeah, pretty good view of all the happenings.
  9. For the first time in years, the players were yelled at, did up downs, and ran til they puked because of lack of effort and attitude problems.
  10. You should be a motivational speaker, because all I hear is excuses and 💩
  11. Breaking news...discipline started last Wednesday. Saw it live
  12. Loudon beat WB tonight, no doubt. Govs could not adjust. Pretty pitiful when 2 players beat a more talented, better conditioned team.
  13. Coaching makes all the difference. Maryville wins state perennially without the star athletes that other teams have.
