I know that the cadence has been going on for sometime... However, when my son played 2009-2011 they never came to the 45! It sounds great when they do it, but we used to make fun of those teams that would try that crap on us. By the end of the games the #### whooping they put on those teams was intimidation enough! I support my Devils and hope the next set of kids and parents get to experience that ride, but do your intimidation with your play . Go Big GREENE!

Yes I do know how many TD that is... I was making a joke... hence the LOL after I said " we at least scored 14 pts" I hope its just Coach T chatter about the young man named Rollins. I hope is able to play in this great game tonight. Its going to be a great atmosphere! Two great and prideful programs going head to head tonight.I will cheer my Devils on to the end and if by chance we come away with out the "W" Then the Fulton Falcons gain another fan to cheer them on for a second straight gold ball. I have to jump in here... not picking on you Venthonio, because I have seen it from other posters as well... the Falcons crushed Greeneville last year?! Crushed means "2010" 35-0 and "2011" 42-0 that's being crushed!! 42-14 was a nice beat down by the falcons last year, but by no means would it be considered "crushed"..we at least scored...twice! lol... the team that starts early and limits mistakes wins! The best thing about a Devils win is watching it again via your videos! i just watched yesterday's video and the only reason I'm mentioning this is because that 10-0 loss to Betsy still haunts me. however, we did play them again in 2010 and got payback 55-14. You did make 2010-2011 a wonderful and memorable experience. Thank you and keep doing what you do!

All the pressure is on Greeneville?! Really?! so, I guess Betsy is just glad to be here? Heck...your the 3rd ranked team in the state in 4A...I would think ya'll would have plenty to prove! So, EHS doesn't want to win a gold ball? Then why are you even in the playoffs? This time of year (2nd round of State Playoffs) the pressure is on every team...its the Sr leadership, big time game experience and the overpowering will to win that is what will bring down that pressure. Who deflates the pressure first has the upper hand. Also, This is not the biggest trap game for the Devils...it was Signal Mnt. and we saw what the Devils did to them. Heck...I'm not on here to try and sway any Betsy fans to put on a Greene Devils sweatshirt on Friday night! LOL we all want our team to win! so right now we are all going to thump our chests and have fun with it... because another point is we are not the ones strapping it up on Friday! LOL for us fans...Its all in fun and even though I'm removed from having a son playing at Greeneville now for 2 years this years SR. class is the last group of young men I have watched grow up and I'm following them as they were my own! Its going to be a great evening...I love this time of year! Go Devils...56-10 Devils...

I can't wait for this game...I went to watch the Betsy vs South game and came away impressed with both teams. I even came on here and paid Betsy many kudos to how well they played and for a great win. Since I'm a Devil fan I will choose a word that most devil fans use after telling another fan their teams are good...."However "... I watched the videos that Woodyby30 does for you guys... Nice job too! I can tell you this with almost 100% certainty... First, in my opinion I think the best game ya'll played was the against Science Hill. You team looked good! Again...however, your guys will not be able to run up the middle on the Devils. Your guys will have a very difficult time being able to get to the edge and if they want to roll your QB out...I would not try that to many times. The only shot the Cyclones have is if the Devils self destruct and that just don't happen around here. It's going to be a great atmosphere and a close game for a quarter and a half. Hey Barb... this scheduling thing just drives my nuts! in 2010 the 4 non conference games scheduled were Jeff County, Elizabethton, Sullivan South and Tennessee High. We crushed all 4 so, I guess everyone is right when they say that Greeneville plays a pretty weak schedule.

In my opinion BVDevil is right on with his comments. He has been around the program long enough to see what really happened last year. The 2012 team was in my opinion doomed to not get back to Cookeville. I'm sure I may make some folks from Greeneville angry with what I'm about to say, but its my opinion and from knowing most of these kids from 09 through this years senior class, last years seniors/leaders though athletically talented lacked what the 09-11 upperclassmen had and that was NO FEAR and WHAT EVER IT TAKES attitudes. "ALL IN" remember? Last years leaders were much better in 2010-11 because the upperclassmen in 2010-11 made them better! When it was their turn to hold the bucket they were exposed both on a lack of physical and mental toughness...they played for themselves and not as a team. This years team vs. last years squad can be compared to as a night and day scenario. This years team/leaders knows what that feeling of winning and being champions feels like. They also have tasted defeat at the hands of the only 4A team "Fulton" to beat Greeneville since 2009. This group wants to be the group that takes back that title... Its a new beginning in Greeneville. The 2009-2011 seasons are memories and this Greeneville team has all the components to write a new beginning. I think its fare to say that Fulton has everything to lose...they wear the Target... and my Devils want that Target back on their backs! Do I think Greeneville has a shot at bringing down Fulton?? Sure I do! wouldn't be a fan if I didn't think so, but I also know that if Fulton thinks last year team is any indication to what may come their way in 3 weeks...I can assure them that they will be met with an unpleasant surprise. One of the best times of the year for HS sports!!! Good luck to all but, especially to the Devils!

Barb... I agree with you... Its not worth it! and time to move on...until, Saturday morning as we get to hear how awful the BIG, BAD Devils are for running the score up on little ole Grainger...and its just not right!! blah... blah...blah I'm sure the Devils would rather just skip this first round game and jump right into round two where we can start listening to the complaining about how disrespectful it was for the Devils to mercy rule the little ole Cyclones! OH...NO... HE DIDN'T!!

I think the mercy rule at 35 pts kicking in at any given pt during the regular season is a great idea. Until the TSSAA fixes alignment and its qualifications for a playoff birth we will continue to have lopsided victories. If the kids are taught to play to the final buzzer why cant a coach...coach to the final buzzer? makes no sense to me. If the score didn't matter and the feelings of little johnny did, they would never turn on the score board. I'm so tired of the political correctness that has infiltrated athletics. If play or coach athletics long enough you will be taken to the wood shed a time or two so, I can say that everyone at some point in time feels what getting dominated from start to finish feels like. However, its play off time and if you were able to make the playoffs based on the TSSAA criteria then you are suppose to be qualified to compete at this level. These coaches and players on both sides of the ball have worked their tales off from spring ball to now... playing JV or freshman etc though maybe a good idea for regular season games but, this is playoff time and its all about winning. If you cant stop us your going to get run over!

I'm reposting my response from a previous post since I see we have another booger eating, living in my moms basement! greenarmydummy... put down the remote to maden and let the true sport fans have their fun. you obviously have NO clue! Modesty is another word for mediocrity You know what "Fan" stands for? Fanatic!... your darn right there should be some cockiness from the fans from Greeneville and Fulton. In my opinion and I know I can't speak for Fulton fans, but until last year we had to play them here in Greeneville (2010&2011) it was the one team that always scared myself and a couple of other dads...LOL while going through the playoffs.once we got past them we never felt like we would lose...They are full of history and are a successful program with State Championships under their belt. Greeneville was the new kid on the block back in 2009 and hasn't changed their address since. Until Fulton knocked off Greeneville last year, Greeneville hadn't lost to another 4A school since Giles County in the 2009 State Championship game. Greeneville got their payback in 2011. This year is much the same... However, there are other teams that have changed their addresses here in the east and are trying to stay on the block. Fulton fans know their team is great this year... they should, their loaded! and they are the defending State Champion however, the Greeneville faithfull are seeing something special in this years Greeneville team as well... Whats great about "Great" fans as well as the "Great" programs is that they relish in the opportunity to have their teams play other "Great" teams. Over the years I have seen so many times on these message boards from fans that say... " I hope we get this seed so we can ovoid XYZ team" if your going to be a champion you have to play the best so, avoidance is only delaying the outcome you have already expected. So...I don't have a dog in this hunt anymore so,other than being just a "fanatic" now, I can tell you if your are not from the east and more specifically you are not a Devil or a Falcon you will not be hoisting a "Gold Ball" for some time! Hows that for Modesty?! You Moron! I added that just for you...

Ok... Your right. I meant by 28! All in fun brother! I can say this with certainty... It will be the toughest 2nd round game the Devils have had in some time.

First let me start out by saying... Was at the game last night and what a game! Thank you SS and Betsy to represent what good HS football is all about. Ya'll represented your two schools with perfection. You sent a message to everyone in quad 1 and 2 that there is just more than Fulton and my Devils in this tournament! Lol... We played Scott in round 1 in 2011 and crushed them... Their record is better this year, but... They will put up a fight but, eventually will fold. You will take care of business in the first round, I have no doubt! As for facing my Devils... The Cyclones are better than I gave them credit for and they will give Greeneville a good game however, Betsy hasn't seen speed like the Devils have from both sides of the ball and that will be the difference! IMO from what i saw this years Devils are 21 pts better then both ss and betsy. We will find out soon enough, I'm just excited to watch Gvl and Betsy play one another again. Sullivan South could also be undefeated come playoff time. Fulton will not be moved into quad 2. So that would set up potentially the top 3 seeds in quad 1 10-0. Mark my words...state champion is coming from Quad 1. The only way Fulton moves to quad 2 is that 2 more teams from the North East sneak in and I don't see that happening. You are correct this is the odd year so even quads travel for Semi Finals.

GDA... How he was in the hunt for that award is a mystery to me!! amazing?!! however, lets correct your statement now and say...He "WAS" in the running for Tenn Titans Coach of the year! LOL WOW is right. GO Devils!

I decided this evening to skip a trip to the Range tonight just because I knew what was coming, I stopped listening to the game in the 3rd not because I just couldn't listen anymore...LOL but found myself disgusted.I was not disgusted because of the score, but disgusted that the Devils even have to play West Greene. I sat through all those games in the past and dealt with the boredom, but now a couple of years has passed that I have been apart of the athletics at Greeneville I think its time again that the TSSAA do something about the current alignment. If you look over the scores across the State this year there are more lopsided games then ever before. I know and understand why they did the initial realignment in the first place, but you still have teams traveling some distances. So, the cost savings is a bogus excuse (in my opinion) I think teams would much rather travel a little further if they had to just so they could have a game!! I would travel an 1 and half to win or lose by 7 or 14, but as long as it was a game... Beating someone by 70 or losing by 70 after the distance traveled does not do anyone any good plus in my opinion that school that budgeted gas and buses for that game should of just burned the cash out back of the school and called it a day. However, what disgusts me even more and I'm very surprised it has taken this long, is the lack of respect Coach Case and his coaching staff showed for the West Greene program. Hey Coach Case!! its not your Program! you represent WG and the WG community. If West Greene wants to fix their program why don't they start with Coach Case... What did you expect Greeneville to do?? take a knee for the remaining 24 minutes of the second half? run around back words? If the Devils did that would you and your flock of sheep come across the range and shook their hands?? I think not! I know folks that were and are still apart of West Greene HS and participate in their athletic programs and you sir do not come close to deserve the privilege to to represent WG High School. I feel sorry for you Coach Case not because you are a sub par coach but, because you are a sub par of a man and mentor to young men. If my son was at WG HS right now... he would of played his last down for you and he would be on his way to Devil Camp!
