Congrats Trey Torres MVP!I just can't figure the Cougars out.Beat AC have a chance to be in 2nd place then go on a 7 game losing streak.Then turn around and beat Powell.They lose to Halls in OT but even after losing Gillenwater they had a chance to win this game.They have the MVP, 2 1000pt club members and one night you think man this team is pretty good then lose 7 in a row.Hard to figure them out but if the good Cougar team shows up they could be a tough out in the tournament.

Big win for Campbell County last night.Maybe they can get back on track.

I don't know what has happened to the Cougars.The last game that I was able to attend was the AC game and they played really well.But I don't think they have won a game since.I was hoping to make it to last nights game against OR but did'nt get there.

I finally made it to another Campbell County game.AC at CC.First off I could'nt believe how big the crowd was.Great job fans from both teams coming to support those kids.The last time I seen CC play I really liked the Phillips kid and I seen that he got to start this game and he did a nice job again.Plays hard,agressive and stong around the basket.And the other freshmen gave some good minutes.Another kid I came off the bench and gave them some help.I think they called his name McGuire someone said he is a sophmore.Reese kid plays so hard definsively and really makes who ever he is guarding have a rough time.The Pebley kid played a good game.He made some shots when they really needed them and seemed to rebound the ball well.He played well last time I got to watch the Cougars.Trey is strong and got a few shots to go but AC did a good job most of the time keeping him out of the lane.Gillenwater had his share but was'nt hitting like he can.But he was playing pretty good defense.I really enjoyed getting to watch the Cougars play again.I hope I can make it to some more with all the home games coming up.

I did'nt make it to the OR game but I would have to agree with SS about slowing it down against such an athletic team as them.That's how the people that have kept it close or beat them have done it.I did make it to the CG game and Crazy is absolutely correct on the officials.They were horrible.I heard someone say there were 47 fouls called in this game.

I finally got to make it out to a Cougars game this year.I agree with Crazy that was a tough loss.They looked pretty good for 3/4 of the game just could not finish it.Young kids made some costly mistakes in the 4th and a few missed free throws hurt.And letting that one kid for Karns get open for three's hurt.That kid could shoot at least last night he could.Torres played well except that bad pass at the end.And the Pebley kid came off the bench and really helped out Gillenwater had a few not as much as usual but not bad also the freshman kid Phillips I really liked how scrappy he was underneath.They let one get away but from what I seen they have a chance to be pretty good.

I heard the same as what Freebird said about Campbell County playing Grace,Scott Co.,and Cocke Co. next year.And I also heard they have Gibbs and Powell back on the schedule for next year.

Well I agree about MW being a tough out.And I remember when we played MW with "Little Man Stewart" he was tough.There is a connection with MW "Little Man" and CC.His wife is from CC.

Beamer you have been misinformed.My friends son plays for Jacksboro and I know they played Norris the first game of the year.And Norris won 34-2.Not making excuses for them but I know Jacksboro lost 29 8th graders from last years team.I had a nephew play for Jacksboro 2011,2012 & 2013.They had a pretty descent team.And Norris and Jacksboro did not play last year.In 2012 Jacksboro won 38-2 and 2011 Jacksboro won 49-22.And I'm pretty sure the LaFollette game was stopped after the 1st Qtr. buy the LaFollete Administrators.Oneida was the one that would not play Norris this year but I heard that it is called a no contest not a forfeit.I also heard that Norris did the same thing to Oneida a couple years ago.They would not play Oneida and it also was called a no contest not a forfeit.I agree with you about not playing someone being a forfeit.I always thought it was a forfeit.This is the first time I had ever heard it called a no contest.

I thought the Letner kid would be in there but I heard he quit.So now I see why the Freshman is in there.I also heard we had 3 kids playing in the Rocky Top League Gillenwater,Pebley and Griffith. Not much defense being played I'm sure but still good to be out there playing with other top players from the area.

I didn't think the Cougars were going to be that young of a team this year.Starting 2 Seniors 2 Sophmores and Freshman is surprising.

Yes they have not played Cumberland Gap much but when they were Powell Valley they played pretty often and it is was a rival game because of the location of the schools.Anderson County on one side Cumberland Gap (Powell Valley) on the other.

I know Jacksboro had a good team last year.They had a huge 8th grade class 28 8th graders I think not sure something like that.So I look for them to be down a little losing a class like that.I heard Norris has around that many 8th graders this year with some really good athletes so they should have a good team this year.I think LaFollette also had a pretty big 8th grade class last year.Teams loaded with 8th graders are usually pretty good just like HS teams loaded with seniors should be pretty good.The Cougars are going to be good again this year how good not sure.They will for sure miss Nick Bailey and Andrew Evans on defense. The Cougar football program is moving in the right direction.

Maybe Dewayne Wells he is D coordinator there I think.He was the Head Coach at Campbell County for awhile.

There was nothing else to go after all the helmets and shoulder pads had been sent off to be reconditioned.The uniforms were new this year.They were custom uniforms which take much longer to get back.They don't have much time to deal with if they get the custom uniforms.I think they were told end of month or first of February is when they need the order in.So they will be guaranteed to have them back before the first game.Who knows how long it will take the insurance company to get things done and get the money to them.

Yes they destroyed alot of equipment and some things stolen.Poored and splattered paint on everything.New jersey older jersey all kinds of equipment walls,floors,carpets,trainer tables.Tv's were demolished.Also ripped the big Cougar Paw emblems off of the outside of the fieldhouse.Just really wrecked the place.Like Nole said very distasteful.At least $30,000 in damages probably more.

I am sure alot of the ideas and concepts have come from Gus Malzahn"s offense.Alot of similarities with what they do and what is in his books and videos.But who cares where it comes from coaches take ideas from other coaches all the time.And it happens on all different levels of sports.If it works for you and your team that is all that matters.

They have a good team coming back including the freshman.And the 8th grade group coming in is also a good group combined from Jacksboro and LaFollette.Future looks bright or brighter than it has been.I would'nt want to leave now after working hard to get things going in the right direction and someone else come in and take credit for what you did.

I agree with Mav4life about CC having alot to do with the blowout.But that being said West by far was the better team.And I think the only chance AC has is to use the strength they have up front and contol the clock and put scores at the end of time consumimg drives.Special Teams will be huge espescially the return game do not punt or kick to them.I know that set up 2 scores for sure early in the game against CC.Good Luck Mavs!
