Catholic will be a tough load this year. With the combination of Amari Rodgers and Logan Lacey at RB, Jancek at QB, Dom Souder, Jordan Anderson, Chase Kuerchen at WR with that high pace offense catholic shall cause some noise next year. On D the entire DLine comes back with All State Josh Silvey leading the way. If I'm right there's about 8 or 9 returning of Defense. Only concern is the OLine with only one returning starter, but that's what the off season is about getting better.

Coming off of a 10-4 season that saw that Irish advance to the 4A state semifinals and almost pulling the upset against defending state champion Fulton, Catholic starts to think about the 2014 season. With 6 starters coming back(not counting Jordan Anderson and Amari Rodgers) on offense Catholic will be back in full force on offense. The Irish average over 30 pts per game this year. On defense Catholic returns up to 9 starters(also not counting Jordan Anderson). Only concern on D is losing Will Martinez. The Irish need to have a strong offseason lifting and putting on weight. We also have a couple of incoming freshmen that can play Varsity. I believe the Irish play the exact same schedule with the home games and road games switch. Any thoughts on catholic football 2014?

Catholic played a great game! To lose to the defending 4a state champ by one TD is something no one expected. Catholic actually had a chance to win this game. Really excited about next years team. Going to be loaded with talent!

Looking at Hixsons schedule and I noticed that they lost to a very bad Brainerd(3-7) team. Was a key player out that game? Or did Hixson play a bad game?

This week it's Knox Catholic(9-3) @ Hixson(9-3) in the 4a quarter finals. Any predictions on this game?

Catholic has a ton of momentum coming into this game.. Players coming back from injury and a big win last Friday. It was 41-0 mid way through the 2nd quarter against Dekalb, Catholics offense played great! Signal Mountain does have some big boys running the ball and can move the ball. If Catholic can limit the big plays Catholic wins this

Catholic had a very good game last night.. Over 400 yds in the first half with 250 of those passing. Signal Mountain is a good team and Catholic needs to really get after their running game. This is going to be a great matchup and it's going to be a close game for sure

Stealer, starting freshmen WR will not play due to getting ejected in the Alcoa game and also one of the starting linemen may not play. And yes Zac(QB) is a great boost to the team. One of the best players on the team. Dominic(starting safety) is a impact player on D.

He substained an thumb injury to his none throwing hand needing surgery. I've watched DC play against Upperman and Smith county on film. Against Upperman they didn't look very good at all but against Smith County they looked decent. On offense they throw the ball a lot and Catholic has a good seconday( 20 INTS on the year and 5 of those returned for TDS) defense for DC looks ok.. D-Line looks slow and not very active. Secondary and linebackers look decent. By what I saw I think Catholic will win this.

Stealer007, played 7.5 games.. He missed the second half of the scott county game and missed the last two games. QB is a thrower and he had more then 1100 yds this year(first year playing QB) and 11 TDS and 4 Int with two of those being on Hail Marys. He can also run. He's a big kid too 6'2 190. And I'm not sure if he'll play in this game but it's a strong possibility he will.

Catholics defense is their strength. Offensively their struggling a bit but with a QB who has played RB the entire year that's going to happen. With their starting QB back they'll be back in business offensively. I did see on Friday that Catholic lost another starter on offense with one of their offense lineman going down with an ankle injury and didn't return. Hopefully everyone is healthy and catholic can make some noise in the playoffs! Good luck to Dekalb and safe travels to their fans,players, and coaches!

Freshman starting WR Chase Kuerchen will not play against Dekalb because he was ejected in the Alcoa game and by rule will not be able to play this week

Catholic will get healthy in the playoffs. Zac Jancek(Starting QB) will be back. John Mark Broussard who has missed the entire season will hopefully be back for the playoffs. In my opinion he was going to have a great impact on the Irish Defense this season till he got hurt. Dominic Souder(starting Safety, 4 interceptions this year one returned for TD and a 98 yd fumble returned for TD) will be back too. Logan Lacey who has played QB the last 2 games will be back at running back where he is a bruiser. Watching film on Dekal against upperman and smith county and my prediction is Catholic 45 Dekalb 10

Catholic has not been the same since their starting QB got injured. Zac Jancek will be back for the playoffs and also some more starters who didn't play in the Webb or Alcoa games, I see Catholic getting hot in the playoffs and beating Signal mountain and playing someone like Hixson who they can beat also. Catholic has a good chance making it to the semifinals and playing Fulton

Looking at DeKalbs schedule.. Stone memorial is the only team that both DC and Catholic have played. Catholic scrimmaged Stone Memorial back in the summer. Catholic dominated that game. Catholic will get their starting QB and a couple of more starters that have been hurt back for the playoffs. Don't know a lot of Dekalb. Any info on them?

Have you seen the 2nd half of the Baylor game. Webb looked absolutely gassed. Webb was winning 7-0 at halftime and lost 21-7. Every Friday is a different Friday you can't compare scores

Yes Logan Lacey will play QB... He played QB in middle school. Don't underestimate catholic in this game. Webb only has 34 players and a lot of them go both ways, by the 2nd half they will be gassed. They haven't played a full game since Maryville and Baylor and they lost both of those games. Call me crazy but ill take Catholic in a very close game

Catholic will win by atleast 14 points.. They know how big this game is for them

CAK game was the third game of the year and obviously installing a new offense is going to take time.. Friday was a step forward offensively. Each Friday is a different Friday you can't compare one week to another

I think Catholic wins this one. Offense is starting to click. Defense is playing really good. #3 from Catholic can really run the ball. He and #12 can be deadly. Catholic can also beat you with their passing game. It'll be a good game!
