The coaches and players on the football team would never allow something like this to happen. Same school but totally different atmosphere and culture and focus.

It is better than they look. They look small and don't pass the eye test at first. Then they start playing. They swarm the ball, they rarely miss tackles and they have advance schemes for high school teams. It seems they are playing with 12 players. Their players are all day tough and bought into the system. I have mad respect for them. Plus they don't quit. It is hard to beat a team that doesn't quit. So if you jump up on them don't count your chicks until the fat lady sings. Ask Baylor. I'm sure SC will score with SEC athletes but be ready. Rhea will bring it.

Sevier has least 2 SEC committs on offense. Heck they should score more. The Owls have one mid major prospect on offense.

PA I watched the game. I saw the receivers covered well. On top and below with a great pass rush. I also saw them getting jammed at the line. First time I've see that this year. i don't think I like zone blocking it seems like the line is always pass blocking under this scheme. Sometimes you got to drive the DL back to run the ball. Owls make their kicks they win. Hats off to Rhea defense. The Rhea defense doesn't look opposing. But Yes great coaching and advanced schemes for High School helps. But their biggest asset is tackling. . They rarely miss an open field tackle. That is impressive

Easy to blame OC. But Owls win the game if they make their 2 kicks. Plus, they were instead 20 yd in the 1st qtr and should have kicked FG on 4th and 2. So the offense did well enough to win. The Rhea Defense is better than the credit they are getting.

When did playing High School football be about just winning the State Championship. That's a sorry reason to play. There is only one of those a year and Ooltewah has never had one. These kids play for other reasons, life lessons, team mates and it is certainly not the lousy fans that get on Coach T and dog them. Great win for Cleveland. I agree with PA. The Owls have what they need to get the job done. I assume this person is referring to Conservative calling. (Short side of the field, haha) But that is ok for a team with a great defense. Many championship have been won with this formula. This all as to do with winning the turnover battle with a great D.

I've been to all the Owls games. I think #17 has done a great job controlling the offense. He is a smart player and I like that. The team should be 6-0 if we could have run a ball in from the one yard line or kicked a few FG's. I hope he gets better soon and back on the field. I'm sure the back-up will do great as well. Guys, once the Owls got 2 scores up. The offense went into conversative mode. That is what you do when you have a great defense. Results equaled win. great job owls staff. The Owls offense will show out the next 5 games. Expect 40+ each week.

I think it is called penalties. Once the Owls have that under control they will be pretty hard to deal with.

My take on the game. Great building block for both teams. I like seeing teams play equal competition which make them better in the long run. #No cream puffs. Defense: Owls was better, don't think Riverdale crossed midfield after mid 2nd qtr Offense: Owls was better, moved the ball well on Riverdale great defense except inside 5, had much more offense on the books. Kudos to Riverdale punter! Riverdale had great red-zone defense. If Owls kicked FG's when they had the chance, would have won 15-9. Regardless, I think it was positive game for both teams.
