I totally agree with EVERYTHING you just posted. Anyone can start a business no matter what. I have never said that The coach shouldn't have started his club. What I do believe has been stated in all of my post. Many Many people can have 2 jobs and do a great job with them. Most do a great job juggling them and devoting all the time to both that are needed. He, however, has not. That doesn't mean he isn't allowed to have two jobs. He just doesn't know how to treat both the same. You are also correct when you say you can either play high school or not. We will not. I will work with those around to get them not to play too. That way our girls can stay together and train during the fall in order to get better. We all have choices to make. I am not one to criticize and then continue doing what I 've been criticizing. We will not be playing and I think I speak for a lot of others. Merry Christmas. This is a great avenue to voice opinions. Clubonly..You keep your views on target and that's what this board is supposed to be about. HAVE FUN TOMORROW!!

This has nothing to do with K2 vs KVA.. This topic is about Bearden Volleyball. There is a topic about club volleyball. Have you not seen that ORCAT? Now since the "Bearden" coach chose to put his club before his high school team in a lot of instances this does have to do wit KVA. This has nothing to do with K2. If you would like to talk about KVA and K2 then post in the proper topic.

He didn't give an offensive and defensive player award because he knew it wouldn't be his daughter so he decided not to give anyone the award. He did give best Server though. Didn't feel the need to give out Offensive and Defensive though. The defensive award would have gone to the Libero and I'm not sure he really wanted to give her anything. It's crazy how that works. The one girl on the team that has really proven herself and she gets no awards from her high school coach. There were two great offensive players also that could have been chosen but he didn't feel the need to showcase them either. Remember, this is the same coach that never once talked about nor recognized his senior class. I'm glad mine has decided not to play next year. She knew what he was like from day one but I told her she couldn't quit. I apologized to her after the season.

Yea. Bearden was stacked the last 2 years. There's no arguing the facts. Club and spike. The three of us could have coached that team and won. lol

OH BTW He's a terrible coach!! When I talked to the girls about how practice went most of the time they would tell me they learned more from one of their teammates than they did from the head coach. Now thats bad.

That all depends on what your definition of "trouble maker" is. Definition #1 for Parent/player Trouble Maker= a person who habitually causes difficulty or problems, esp. by inciting others to defy those in authority.Fighting with people. Telling people not to do something that their coach or boss has asked them to do. Getting drunk and telling their teammates to get drunk too. Never doing what the coach has asked you to do. Never (as a parent) volunteering to help with team needs. Defintion #2 for player/parent Trouble Maker = A player that does everything their coach asks them to do. A player that plays as hrd as she/he can every minute they are in the game. A player that cheers for his/her team while sitting on the bench. A parent that ALWAYS volunteers when there is something needed. A parent that Never says no when the coaches ask for help. A parent that calls out the coach when he/she knows the coach isn't treating therie child correctly. A parent who calls out the coach when he/she cares about something or someone more than his team. Well sir. I'm guilty of definition #2. So if that's your definition of a "trouble maker" then sign me up as one. My guess is that most parents including yourself would be in that group too. It's funny how around here when someone is guilty of something,and you call them out on it,YOUR THE BAD GUY. You get this reaction. Who told on me? I have to find out. They are gonna get it. .......That's what happens. Kinda like when you were a kid and you damaged someone's car and a man told your parents. All you wanted was to find out "who told on me, I'm gonna get them". Clubonly. By your post it seems like you are an intelligent person. I think you get the point.

Actually this topic was started by me and it's supposed to be about Bearden Volleyball. There is a topic about "club volleyball". It's a terrible shame that the coach lets his daughter on here. The bad mouthing of coaches is an "american past time". Not saying that's good but it is what it is. I know coaches come on here and read what is being said. That's normal (i wouildn't). To let your daughter get in the middle of it is pretty weird. The coach did what he did at Bearden and there is nothing to change that. I know that there will be some good players not play volleyball for him next year. Which leads me into the other topic so I'll stop here in order to keep on topic. The coach is a Joke and if you parents don't realize that he has one priority and one priority only thats too bad.

I can tell you one thing. My daughter will not be playing next year. We thought our coach was going to be really good and it turned out the opposite. Unfortunatley we can't move out of the zone. Guess we just train and get better.

Club...I know that the price doesn't include travel, but the price of the K2 travel for the girls isn't near what it would be for a family to travel. That's what makes it even. The 2 teams at K2 still go to the same tournaments no matter if they are called 2 or elite. K2 has one age group with 2 Elite other than that every group is elite and then 2. The k2 elite should play the KVA Red at the first MEPL. Hopefully!!! Keep your fingers crossed!!! Too bad they don't go to the Wilderness. Kinda stranged why they aren't, but pretty obvious.

So I thought KVA was supposed to be cheaper than the others. K2 includes travel, so you're paying 3,050 to play and then another to travel?

clubonly, It's not the colleges looking at the website. It's false advertisement, but it's to be expected. He will use anything and anyone to advance his agenda. I can just see if he had a big time D1 signing and K2 put it on their website. Like I said though, it's to be expected. I wouldn't expect anything else out of him. How about if we start doing the right thing?

I don't think anyone used the coach's name by accident. That's him trolling the boards. You better check with the coach before you post incorrect data (you like my nice words?). He also allowed his daughter to post. What kind of coach or dad would do that. that's part of the coaching arena. When you throw your hat into the coaching arena you better make sure you are ready for critisism. Now he knows how it feels to be the k2 directors. Get off the boards and stop your daughter from posting. when you allow your daughter to post that allows others to bash!!!

and that is why you and your child are at KVA. Because you don't care about playing D1. That's fine, but don't talk "crap" about the other girls just because they have set there goals a little higher. They may never get to their goal but thats what they set it at. Just read twitter. K2's goal is to help every girl reach there goal whether hey do it or not. I know you don't know who Mary Wise is so let me tell you who she is.She is the university of Florida's volleyball coach. She told her junior recruit from Chattanooga to play at K2. J hames didn't go and recruit her. Heck he doesn't go and recruit anyone. Ask the girls mom if this is true. I did and that's what she told me. Don't bash girls for setting lofty goals. That's not what the bible teaches, does it????

ORCAT.....HAHAHAHA That would NEVER happen. Read the what Spike4 said. They are correct. That's why he wouldn't leave club. Believe me. All the parents think its greener on the other side. it seldom is. Once their teams start losing and players aren't getting what their parents think they deserve then it won't be pretty. It's just how it is. Some parents can never be happy. Look at their roster. About 97% of the roster at KVA is made up of peole that didn't make the 1 team last year at K2. So when parents tell you it's not about where their kids were placed last year it's aweful funny that most of the transfers are 2 team players. Why are there 2 "Red" teams in some age brackets? Is that because they both red teams are so powerful that they made them even or is because they charge the red teams more. lol
