Most casual observers see a football team as a zero sum group of individuals, hence the emphasis on who is going to replace who. I'm not saying that JH wasn't a great back, he was. But he and LW will be replaced, maybe by more than one player. Two years ago the same people were saying the same things about BZ. All the talk about irreplaceable MC players is really just skillethead wishful thinking. The team will be different but in my mind the production will be more than replaced. Mark my words, Saylors is going to be a goodin'.

For MC, Saylors is a better back now than Henderson and just as good probably better on D. True that there is no replacement for Walters but teams never really replace any player. Improved line play will more than make up for the loss of Walters and the D will be better overall. The progression over the past few years for MC has been away from relying on one or two players to overall depth and program. Y'all will see that this year.

By the way, I hope who ever was selling those noise makers to the kids made a pile of money and is now on their way to Beverly Hills cause they were terrible. I'd rather listen to the bammers on the Finebaum show.

All SP has to do against SC (and they will be able to) is get the edge a few times and hit some short routes over the middle or in the flat and it will be off to the races. It is very demoralizing for a team with a limited offense that is relying on ball control and defense to give up big plays. This is a bad match up for SC this year.

Dunlap has nothing on offense. They are stout up front but have nothing else. Pittsburg takes care of the ball and they win, they will break a couple on this team. Dunlap will make some holes but Pittsburg has enough speed at the second level to make up for that and Dunlap has no rabbits.

Honestly I thought Silverdale was ok, Grundy and Bledsoe looked weak and disorganized. Whitwell looked as organized and focused as I have seen for long while. Pittsburg was improved but pretty light on the lines, but they have overcome that weakness before with athletes at the skill positions. They will be solid in 1A. Hoping they can make a game of it in a couple of weeks but the days of beating MC without divine intervention are over. MC will be less explosive but they are stronger and deeper up front, the defense looked as good or maybe better. MC no longer has a kicking game. A few bounces and few injuries and it will be another good year.

It is obvious that MC has been very serious in the weight room. They look different than all the other valley team. They win the line of scrimmage on both sides with all present. Pittsburg had the most play makers at the skill position but they look weak at the line of scrimmage. Dunlap and Whitwell both looked decent on the lines. Whitwell has a couple of playmakers, didn't see that with Dunlap. Everyone else better work on dominating in the kicking game.

I have made that same decision myself. I 'll tell ya folks, it aint as easy as it looks. It's a long way to the top if ya wanna rock and roll.

South Kimball should think about a coaching change (not really, please Lord no) since they took a major step backwards with VictRoy at the helm this year.

Coaching at Whitwell isn't really a coaching position, it is more like being the administator of mental health facility.

I propose that we divide the county in two. Let I-24 be the dividing line. North of I-24 will be Marion County and south of I-24 will be Moron County.

Whitwell will find out how good of a coach they had. He was as good as they are going to get. To survive in this community you have ignore popular opinion and do what is right. Helton didn't give a rip and did his thing. He would have done a whole lot more. He will do a whole lot more but at his next job, if he decided to take more compensation for less aggravation who could blame him? Note to all Marion County citizens: Anyone coaching or teaching in this county is making a sacrifice monetarily so it doesn’t take much for someone who is good at what they do to make the jump somewhere else. Anyone who stays for an extended period either loves it here and is willing to give up money and put up with the hassles or no one else wants them. Note to County school administration: When considering coaching candidates for a community such as ours people skills and dedication to the community are more important than a flashy resume. To be successful here a coach must convince ordinary boys that they can do extraordinary things, most of the time the gold ball for us will come down to defeating superior talent. In other words a successful and long tenured coach must understand and embrace small town culture, be a rough customer (thick skinned), and be an exceptional motivator. Look for these qualities, look for an excellent teacher.

Astime, don't bother. These mental cases will repeat the same old crap. They will only get worse as they come to grips with the fact that it is over. Even if I was the coach they would still get whipped. Proof is that when the SP coaching job was open the last two times it was difficult to find anyone to take the job. Any body who knew saw there was no future. In contrast there was great interest from top notch candidates in the MC job the last two times in has come open (some of whom would cause mass hysteria in skillethead nation). SP is MC's Vandy from here on.

Ok I am done being fake mad at Coach T besides I didn't get that job over at McCaulie with RR. I guess I have a lot in common with VictRoy, I wanted to leave but I am just a loser that no one wanted and I'll have to stay here.

This will be my last post on Coach T. First let me say that I am very mad at many people on here and at Coach T in general. I believe that RR was very un fairly treated. Once again I am very very mad.

Don't bother with em. It's easy to forgive one's self. One can decide to leave, get fake mad at Coach T so they can explain why their profile will go dead and then when the job falls through come back and forgive yourself for leaving and everything is back to abnormal. Besides it ain't easy to come back from having that can of Red Bull rammed sideways up yer fudge round. You can see the terror that RR causes and for good reason. You don't forget trauma like that over night.

No argument there are idiots all over. But you can't argue that the T is very sympathetic, nostalgic, lenient, romantically involved, etc with the SP idiots. Which I understand as they fill the pages. I expect there will be repercussions for this very discussion. As in the past. It will start with reply from a mod then the lock out until I genuflect, which I will refuse.
