Lots of film to study and lots of mistakes to correct. Pirates have A LOT of talent, and Vic will utilize that as always. We need to wrap up better but this is the first scrimmage and those are always a little sloppy. It’s been a while so the team and town seem hungry for a gold ball. Should be a fun season and I see it only getting better from here. Man that Nelson family looks nice in orange n black by the way lol

We should.not have ran counter on 3rd down on the first drive. We should have ran dive to Raulston on 4th and 3. Greenback was deserving of the win. We shot ourselves in the foot quite a few times. RUN THE DA** FOOTBALL DOWNHILL!!! RANT OVER. see y'all next season. Congrats to GB on the gold ball.

Completely different styles. I'm pretty Close to them both so I know for a fact. I was just replying to power p as far as team speed between the 13 and 16 teams. We we're quick last year. Nothing to do with this year though. These guys play a style I haven't seen in Orange and Black in a long time. Gritty. I think these two teams would beat the two teams from the West Wich ever way they stack up. But not the way some are talking. There are two teams left over there and they are still playing for a reason.

Pryor would leave Mitchell. I've seen first hand buddy.

I played at CF and I played at GB in the run we had in 2011. I had more of an issue at CF so I don't usually side with our folks about this subject. Trousdale was worst of all time.

I agree he's the heart of the team. Makes us who we are. Raulston scored 4 TDs last night. My prediction is based off of numbers. Those win games buddy. And in a lot of the games that mean a lot he tends to put up big numbers.. the way these teams matchup that's my prediction and opinion You have yours. I won't be considered wrong until the game is over Friday night and it happens differently than I said it will.

Well then that's stinks.. he played well on D after halftime.. I haven't been in the loop first time I've been on this weekend.

This game will be a game for men. If your not ready for smashmouth football stay home. I expect to see a big dose of Gilbert and I expect the Pirates to come fully aware of that. Last year we jumped up quick and Gilbert took over as a sophomore. I expect Sawyer to be 100% but I still see this being a showdown of Gilbert and Raulston. I do know the Pirates are down right mean up front. Seeing lots of different opinions on this one. Should be fun.

At the end of the day whitwell fans can yell that they got beat by the refs. They can say what makes them feel better about it. Refs can give bad spots. They can throw stupid flags.. but they don't line up and create holes I can drive a School bus through... SP lined up and pounded the football down Whitwell's throat.. so whine about refs all you want but it would have made no difference. I couldnt count on all my fingers how many times I seen our guys untouched at the second level...

Another factor I have been thinking about. Last game whitwell had 2 fan bases there to cheer them on. We had Red Tigers and Purple Tigers at the last matchup. They won't this time because Marion plays this week. That could also play a role in the game. Lol jk

Yes. Those were two big factors. But a lot of area teams aren't playing this week. I expect to have a good turnout though.

The only season that matters at this point is the post season. And my eye test up to this round, Marion would not be considered the underdog to me.

I'm going GB just because of the way the Gilbert Kid runs. He can take a game over single handedly. I was truthfully more impressed by him last year in the big comeback vs SP than I was the Roberts kid. GB by 14.

I picked Tyner in the first game. And I'm going MC this time because they have found their stride.

That's right. Lol we gotta make it through this week and next, but i think all 4 of these east teams are solid. I've heard nothing but Huntington 1A and Waverly 2A all year. Well it's put up or shut up time now. We will see!!

Not saying this to ruffle feathers, but is it possible that the 4 teams left in the East in 1A could have just as much of a shot in the east in 2A? Marion and Tyner have not looked all that well this year at times. Meigs is undefeated, but I have heard some people question their strength of schedule. I have seen all 4 teams left from the east and they can all three play some ball.

If he's not healthy that changes a lot about this game. Not a game breaker or anything, but definitely not a good thing for the Tigers.
