  1. Chris has done an awesome job taking teams from the bottom of the league to a competitor from Toronto to Edmonton to Sask. He's a true team builder. He plays many more roles than coach. He makes pretty much all personnel decisions as well, if im not mistaken. Has been competing for championships since Montreal.
  2. It was the P on the helmet. Lol jk good luck this Friday. I see a ram train derailing.
  3. If Marion plays the way they can it won't even be close I'm just keeping it real I tried to say it last week but nobody wanted to hear it. Feed saylors and win football games.. that simple..
  4. Howie is out there on predictions sometimes but he's consistent. Whoever wins this game will once again win it ok the trenches and win it between the ears. Can't make mental mistakes and shoot ourselves in the foot. Also, I never ever question coaching. But if we run the ball for 2-3 first downs in a drive, let's not try to pull a hat trick out of our backside and throw with a wideout. Just keep pounding. If it ain't broke don't fix it. I also see Sanders hitting a couple of the balls hubbard missed in the last game. SP will need to play mistake free and just as gritty as last time to win. I got the Pirates by 14.
  5. Nobody said he was bad. Talent can float a coach through as well without having to make many adjustments.
  6. Agree. The difference is that Gordy has 1 of those guys and Whitwell has 4-5 of them. Was not knocking the RB for the boys in blue. Just complementing the ones in red.
  7. If he rushes for 200 it will be on his Xbox after the game. I've seen him play. It's not that he's not capable. It's that whitwell is good on D.
  8. I know Chris well. Very happy for him. He's a true story of making dreams come true. And there's a coach on the staff at SP right now that's undefeated against Grider. As far as Vic moving up and a career choice to be at SP, look at what he has done and the Legacy his family has created. Why leave that. He also coached his Girl in softball the last few years, so that was another reason for him to stay.
  9. Do you think that there's anything that can be done by a coach about the number of people that live in a community and number of kids that those people have?? Because that's what determines a classification. Numbers. Not talent. When you take what your given year in and year out and win with it, and play for a state title in almost every decade since the 60s, yes, you can beat your chest all you want. Ask the 10+ teams from 2A to 6A that came to little ole South Pittsburg over the past 10 years if they respect the program regardless of classification. Winners get respect when they do it consistently. Not once every 25 years. That's all I'm saying. And as far as the coaching statement, Coley has accomplished a lot, and is doing big things for whitwell, but some of this stuff is just out of left field.
  10. I agree. Tipton will be a factor as well. He always gets his share of meaningful plays. Have a safe trip my friend. Hope you enjoy the Pitt.
  11. Moto I have not seen a lot of JB. I do know that this will be by far the most physical game they have been a part of this year. Raulston (9) is a huge load. Sawyer (22) is one of the harder running backs we have had, and there will be a few young speedsters in Tipton (7), Whisnant (6), and Hubbard (5) all sophomores and freshman. This will not be the same style team you seen in 10. This is a more physical gritty type of team, and makes for some good football if you appreciate watching guys lower their shoulder and get nasty. I'm sure we will continue to work on our passing game, because we will need to be a bit less one dementional after this week. But I would expect to see a lot of ground and pound as well.
  12. Not that level? What level? This kid from coalfied has awesome arm strength. You must not have watched Terrell Robinson.
  13. Coley has A LOT to prove before he's considered even remotely close to the best DC in 1-A. He has a resume that's not even 1/10 the size of some DC in 1-A football. I can tell whitwell hasn't had this kind of success since before social media was even thought of because they have no idea how to act. Win 10 games in a watered down 1-A east TN and the whole community acts like it's Superbowl bound.. stop.. whitwell has a great thing going right now.. but this is the first year in 25 that they have been relevant. There's plenty of reasons to be happy and joyful for these guys. They deserve it. But come on. Some of the stuff I hear is just outlandish and redicilous. Whitwell will win huge this week. And then it gets very interesting from then on. Gordonsville posters, our rushing game Is much better than Gville. And whitwell is about to give you a wake up call Friday because if the RB rushes for more than 80 I'll be extremely shocked.
  14. Mam, go buy some nikes, athletic shorts and a basketball pump. The season is as over as That Harris man's coaching career at Westmoreland.
  15. Last time we met JB I was a part of it. I hope this one ends the same way! Lol
  16. Bass I copied you lol I just seen where you said pretty much the exact same thing.
  17. If they have to rely on the back he will get less than 30 because I see a lot of 3 and outs and he will be mauled if they try to give it to him that many times.
  18. I'm just being honest. The kid from Gville will be hit like he hasn't been before and Whitwell wins by as many as they want to.
  19. Im Saying The Pitt as in the town and atmosphere. Lol not the team.
