  1. The problem has already been addressed and taken care of. No visitor team will be sitting on that end anymore. At this point Pickett will be playing on the road regardless for the remainder of the season as part of their punishment.
  2. Last time I checked players had to run down both ends of the court so therefore the Pickett ball players were at that time the ones being cussed. You should probably ask York coach he saw the whole film Friday during the meeting and I bet he can tell you at not point was anyone touching a player on te bench that's all I'm saying. A lot more then 1 York player threw hits too he got to see that as well for the first time
  3. I can understand your frustration and concern. I do disagree with you, in that several student sections get out of control whether behind the opposing teams bench or not. For example, when PC's boys were in front of York's student section, they were repeatedly cussed and harassed. The only difference is PC players held their composure and didn't haul off and throw a punch. The young man on York's bench who threw the punch should have had more composure. Just because someone calls you a name, etc does not give anyone the right to start a fight. Being a former player myself, i was yelled out and called names, but I was there to compete and play ball. I ignored it. Again, I am not condoning what happened, but this is a problem for several schools.
  4. I am actually at the game, and no spectacle is being made that I can see by PC's cheering section. Last time I checked, there is NOTHING wrong with a little school spirit and support for your team. You complain that no supervision was provided at the PC vs York game, and just when these leaders try to be in the middle of the cheering section to supervise and take appropriate precautions, you complain about that?
  5. The student section is saying nothing vulgar or bothering anyone..and yeah school officials are sitting with them if they weren't then people like you would say something about that too. Every other team down here ha a student section as well so stop singling out just one school.
  6. By the way if this is complete truth which I agree to some extent, there would be many teams suspended cause I sure have seen a lot of bad fans in my days.
  7. You are right the political influence that everyone is so called talking about where there supporting both schools so you probably shouldn't go there. Being prepared was the key to the meeting if York had gone prepared they would have been playing Friday night too more then likely bottom line. And as far as the coaching goes you hear everything I'm not sure what's going to happen I can tell you one thing he has worked hard to get this appeal turned around. Regardless of who they put in there someone is always going to find fault that's the way I look at it.
  8. In Wednesday's Herald Citizen, it was clearly stated by Monterey coach Adam West that up until then they had done nothing but prepare for Pickett County.. I wouldn't go as far as saying that they were hosed. Also, Monterey was given the opportunity to postpone game until Saturday night which would have given them an extra day to prepare for the team they would be playing, but they chose not to and wanted to play Friday. If you think other teams were put on hold about finding out who they would be playing just think about to 2 teams who had no clue whether or not they were even going to get to step on the floor Friday night. Oh, and as far as political influence, we had several people work hard in the school system to show that our boys should get to play. They went very prepared so it is being told. Pickett Countys coach worked his tail off to get things together along with several others. From whats been said if York had gone prepared they would have probably been playing as well. I hate it for York honestly, certainly for those who were not involved, but for some reason TSSAA made the choice they saw fitting.
  9. Pickett didn't just get a slap on the hand.. They were still punished.
  10. Probably because Pickett didn't throw the first punch? If I was guessing if York players wouldn't have thrown any other punches other then the first one they would probably be playing too.
  11. So your pretty much saying, someone could go attack someone else anytime after a ballgame and still be in the gym where the game has taken place and get by with it? Thats something good to uphold. Regardless if something occurs in the gym punishment still would be what is fair..if what happened in the Pickett game is so called fair..oh and not to mention that assistant coach was the one involved but to you thats ok as long as it happened after the fact. Total disagreement here which I have to everything you have said on here.
  12. CASC95 just curious is there an article from when this game was played of what occurred?
  13. I could not agree more. I like seeing people post who make sense about what they are saying.
  14. I am so glad someone else agrees with false information. Both teams are appealing on their own! Thank you!!
