  1. I've made my picks. I'm not in the hunt for the top spot unless some weird unforeseen Halloween miracle occurs. Trick or Treat pickers. Good luck.
  2. This is it. My backs against the wall. Howl at the moon, shoot out the lights. Stay tuned.
  3. Star Wars quote, "I have a bad feeling about this". My thoughts as I picked the last couple weeks. Turns out, most every game that I thought about and delayed a bit on picking, I was on the wrong side. I actually flipped a coin on one this week and lost that one. Seriously. Not a bad week, but there's no room for error amongst you all. Let's see what happened to me this week. Turn away boys and girls with weak stomachs cause it ain't purdy. Week 10 results: W - L: 13-3 Dawgs: 0-2 (Knox Webb*, FRA) Games <8: 2-1* Rank: 14 GB: 8 Analysis: I fell out of the top 10. I know, I feel sick about it too. I've had some dawgs that have fallen just short here lately, 4 that were <8 points. I needed them, but, alas, I didn't get em. There's one last week of this regular season contest left. I do hope to finish strong. Good luck pickers. I also hope several of you above me forget your password this week.
  4. I'm thinking Loretto somehow wins a close one. A little birdie told me you are thinking differently.
  5. Something to ponder. When was the last time the Maryville vs Alcoa game was not part of The Big Ones? Who would you take?
  6. I've made my picks. That's all I have to say about that.
  7. Well, I just had a so so week. I was hoping to gain some ground but all I did was spin my tires on the restart and fell further behind. Here's the damage. Week 9 results: W - L: 13-5 Dawgs: 0 W-L 50%ers: 1 - 2 (Lausanne - Friendship* Oak Ridge*) Games <8: 1 - 3* Rank: 9 GB: 7 Analysis: I needed my 50%ers to come through but I only hit 1 out of 3. *2 of those losses were by less than 8points. A stat I like to keep up with because winning the close games are crucial to this contest. I lost 2 spots and lost 2 games to Dear Leader. I must gain significant ground this week. I'm gonna break out my long rifle, clean it up, load it, and aim it at the moon. I need a long shot.
  8. I was finally able to get my picks in. It looks like there's 4 hovering around 50% or so. A person on the right side of all those could be stepping in high cotton. I hope to be high stepping in it and not a bunch of mess. Good luck pickers.
  9. I'm here ST. I've been trying to access this website since Monday. I've been in a constant loop to try and verify that I am actually a human. I'm trying to get my picks made. Every time I try to make a pick, I have to go thru the verification process. It's getting quite ridiculous if you ask me. I may have to head off the mountain into town to finish up these picks on another device.
  10. Not a totally bad week. I just feel as though I needed another excellent week like the last one to put some real pressure on. But with @harley04 catching Dear Leader @3rdandLong, it allows the peloton, (those just a few back) to have a little more hope. The leader can't just ride the "favorites" and coast to the finish line now. @pujo is closing in fast. He looks to be playing the ole "shake and bake" slingshot strategy. Looks like @dogtruth ran short on kibbles n bits and a couple of his dogs just up an ran away. @oneyewilly making his presence known into the top 10. Let's delve in and see what happened. Week 8 results: W - L: 10-3 Dawgs: 1-1 (Bearden - Stone Memorial) Games <8: 2-2 Rank: 7 GB: 5 Analysis: Like I said, not bad, although not good enough, I'll take it. Dropped from 6th to 7th but picked up a game on the leader. 18 games in which to pick this week. Let's hope none get moved up to Thursday. Good luck pickers.
  11. I think Fairley should be top 10. Looking at their schedule they have Mitchell Oct 27. Another sorta unknown? That game should be listed as a region 8 game? @CoachT
  12. I edited post above. Hillsboro is a 95% underdog on the T. That would have been yuge to gather that one.
  13. I was thinking it could have been one of the better games but I did go with Page. I can't remember now how big a favorite they were? Page is a 94.7% favorite.
  14. I've got my picks made. Not feeling too confident. We shall see. Good luck pickers.
  15. It's been a busy weekend and start of this week. I just picked some of the new games and I've got most of my picks in. I've got 4-5 that I'll look at a bit closer. Time to mull a little bit I guess. Fried bologna again ST? Moonpie, RC Cola?
  16. Thanks Coach. I was looking at the standings before they were updated. Long night I guess.
  17. I must've been looking at the standings last night before they were updated. And here I thought I hadn't gained any ground. I will redo my analysis.
  18. Are these the correct standings? If they are, I'm not sure what I was looking at last night. According to this list, I'm in 6th place and 6 games back. Tied alongside the great Pujo. @3rdandLong @pujo @dogtruth @harley04
  19. I saw a good game tonight. Like everyone else has said, the defense set the tone in this one. The Pirates are odds on favorite to make it to Chattanooga but let's not crown or start comparing this team to state title teams. This Pirate squad will need to iron out some things offensively I think. Need to be more consistent on that side of the ball.
  20. I had an excellent week for a change. Thursday was 2-0 and Friday was 22-2. Week 6 results: W - L: 24 - 2 Dawgs: 3 - 0 (Bledsoe, Houston, NorthPoint Christian) <8: 6 - 1* Rank: 6 GB: 6 Analysis: Excellent week. Moved up 7 spots and gained 3 on Dear Leader. My loses were West and Loudon*.
  21. I have 3 dogs. 2 of which are of good size. The other could be considered a cross border collie. Let's go hunting. Good luck.
