  1. Parker barely scraped by some wins over d1 guys. Think he barely beat Raluston towards beginning of the season. Solomon would beat him any day.
  2. I agree. Popp would have a good run but it would be hard for him to place. Everybody that didn't place at 160 was very close. Seemed like a hard weight class to place in. Just look at who competed. Cotton and Alexander didn't place who both in my mind should have. Just about every match was close in the 160 weight class. Majority of the wins were by decisions with very little majors and pins. Every wrestler in that weight class were hard-nosed competitors that don't want to lose. Sorry Popp. You don't take D1
  3. Along with the bad calls during the finals in the 182 match Chad Solomon clearly locked his hands around Billy Raluston and the ref along with all of the audience could clearly see it. Some of these refs seem biased towards certain teams. Case and point was the 120 Cyree vs. Fuller. How would that ref call stalling on Cyree who was working the whole match and was defending a switch? Hard enough to deal with a tough wrestler, but also having to deal with the ref is nearly impossible!
  4. And part of the reason there were so many byes was because some smaller teams don't have a full line up or didn't put weigh them in like McMinn County or Rhea
  5. I agree, but not everybody from those four teams qualified some Cleveland, Walker, and Soddy kids ended up left behind. Some of the other schools had kids that knocked of others like East Hamilton's 120 upsetting Soddy's Jacob McClure
  6. Seems like you feel the need to only want 2 per weight class from this region so the top four individuals in each weight class from Soddy,Cleveland, Bradley, and Walker Valley won't dominate at the state tournament. Region 4 may only have eight schools, but I garuntee that those schools are just as good if not better than any other team in the state. Both D1 and D2
  7. Cotton majored Alexander in the finals. 11-3
  8. As for team standings I say Cleveland wins by 20 or more. Then a close toss up between Soddy and Walker Valley
  9. 106, 138, 160, 182, and 285 will have some interesting finals matches. Lot of ranked wrestlers projected to face off in finals
  10. Any predictions for this tournament for each weight?
  11. Should be some great wrestling this weekend. Look forward to seeing all the great match ups.
  12. Is Oliver at 152 now and Martin at 160?
  13. So you think it will possibly be 160 #3 Cotton vs. 170 #2 Hamilton?
  14. I completely agree. We shouldn't be bashing on Cotton or any wrestler in the sport, espically if they can't even defend themselves from harsh comments like the ones before. My goodness these are kids that just want to play the sport. Don't treat him like he meant to give Adams a concussion on purpose.
  15. Plus you think if he was being truly unsportsmanlike he would walk over and shake all the Bradley Coaches's hands after his match? Someone that would be wouldn't even walk over to their side.
  16. You truly don't know the Cotton kid though. I've seen him over the years and he's a very respectful young man and would never intentionally hurt your son. I understand what you think of him being unsportsmanlike, but this was a heated and key match. With all the chaos he probably wasn't thinking about taking a knee for Nathan.
  17. Wait so is Cotton able to wrestle WV's next match. Wasn't sure if he could if he was dq'd
  18. Seemed like Nathan Adams was just fine and getting up quite quickly on his own. Just sayin.
  19. So coach Smith manipulated the match to get the win? Seems like it
  20. Yeah it seemed like one since it was so late in the dual. Think WV was expecting a pin or major from Cotton
  21. Yeah your right. Cotton was pounding on Nathan till he broke though. think if he didn't get dq he would probably pinned Nathan Adams.
  22. No Cotton was beating him 6-0 before the slam
