Haha, that was your best yet. Just when I think you can't be a bigger clown you somehow dig deep within yourself and find a way. You want to question my parenting because i said talent is easier to coach? Ask Brown if its easier to coach Jaycee Coe and win or replace her with the 8th man from Sunbright and win?. Maybe you will believe him. And for the record I have had the same name on here since I signed up a couple years ago, another funny statement though. You want to personally attack me over something this trivial. You are a piece of work. And that is the funniest thing you have said yet. And I am pretty sure UCSportsFan isn't on your birth certificate. Why you taking things so personal? You act like I cussed a family member. If anybody in this deal is a keyboard Hercules it has been you. I haven't brought your family into it and it would be asinine for me to do so, I would appreciate the same in return.
-
You need to take your medication and relax.... You act like i have cussed Jackson County and Clarkrange basketball. When all i said was talent is easier to coach. I don't have a dog in either fight. Just stated my opinion that a lot of objective people share. That may be the problem, you are anything but objective. You always resort to calling anyone who doesn't share your opinion stupid, ignorant etc. As far as Lamar getting talent from the North end, more power to him. But you are a fool if you think he would've won near the number of games he has without them. I have a kid that may play for him in a couple of years, or may go to York. That is her choice, but wherever she chooses to go it won't change what I said or believe. Jackson Co is no concern to me. I am not going to crown Brown the greatest basketball mind in history because he won a number of state championships, any more than I will think he sucks when after this year the talent dries up and his record isn't what it once was.. I don't know how you do it, but you are still getting funnier.
-
Show me were I said good old Bobo would win ANY championships or beat ANY particular team or have Dateline NBC attend a game.... YOU said that, not me I...will...talk...slowly....so...you...might...better...understand...and...I...will...try...not...to...use...big...words... I said with the talent they both have had that the monkey would've won a lot of games. Don't exaggerate what I said. You are really funny.

The "King of all Homers" thinks I'm a hater. That's pretty rich. All i said was it's easier to coach talent. Any fool (except you) would agree with that. As far as ignorant or stupid, you are entitled to your opinion, it's America. Mine is you are a joke. You act like Brown and Roger's would win the Triple Crown riding plow mules! Brown better get back hands on with the elementary program because the pool of talent will be a puddle after this year. And guess what, when that happens Brown will struggle too, and when he does that doesn't mean he is any better or worse a coach than he was before. And Roger's is about as involved with elementary player development in Fentress Co as you are. That is a fact. Again didn't say either one was not a great coach but it's pretty insane to argue that they have not had the best talent by far compared to the other area schools.
-
I would argue both have benefited from a great elementary/middle school talent pool. Most (90%) of the developing is already done by the time a kid is a freshman. How many have either had that were just mediocre as freshman that turned into all area or all state players after their sophomore years?. Their great players were for the most part great players in elementary and middle school. I am NOT saying either is not good, Just saying talent makes coaching much easier.
-
Still doesn't change the fact that Clarkrange is/has played single A ball while pulling from a AA talent pool. Not saying Clarkrange hasn't been a powerhouse but any logical person would be have to be a homer not to acknowledge that fact. I would argue the other way, they should've won at least 3 or 4 more state titles than they have when everything is taken into consideration. Not belittling what they have accomplished in any way, only seeing things from a legitimate perspective.
-
And the "worst team in several years for Clarkrange" still beat White County by 6 if I remember right.
-
Talent has made Brown and Rogers great coaches. Not saying either is not a great coach, but talent makes bad coaches good, good coaches great and great coaches legendary. Think it's safe to say they both have some great talent over the past couple decades. You could've put Bobo the chimp on either ones bench and the monkey would've won a heck of a lot of games. No disrespect too either but the truth is the truth.

York's girls had another rough 4th quarter and dropped one to Cannon, 41-55.
-
York gets an ugly W at Cannon, 66-58.
-
Can we move on from Upperman's post player? Start a forum for that,, personally i don't see what all the personal stuff is about. Let's get back to 8-AA basketball.
-
Who do you think is using an alias for a screen name?. Haha.

I agree with what you said. The basis for my opinion is that (i think you would agree) levy has a skill set offensively that is extremely rare. Flynn is without question a great HS pg. That is not up for debate. I believe that as good as Flynn is, she is not on Levy's level when looked at from a college perspective. Not trying to demean Flynn in any way. If Levy can develop a consistent perimeter shot over the next 2 1/2 years she will be highly sought after by major D-1 colleges. By that i mean Vandy at least and many other Big 5 teams.. Not on UT our UCONN level though. Free college is great for any kid, and greater for the kids parents. Haha.
-
Defensively she is a work in progress, offensively her skill set is really found in a girl player. By the way, certainly no family member. That was funny though. I still say if you asked college coaches the voting results would not be close.
-
Levy is the best pg in the upper Cumberland and also the best player regardless of position. By far the best handle. Only a sophomore and does make an occasional bad decision, but skill wise she is light years ahead of any girls pg i have seen around here. Don't know how this is even a question. And i am absolutely not an Upperman fan. The fact Jackson beat them, which was an upset in my opinion doesn't mean their pg is better than Levy. Everybody has a mediocre game from time to time. I would bet if you had 20 college coaches watch them both play 3 games every last one of them would offer Levy before not only Jackson County's pg but every other girl player in the UC.

First time i have really seen Endicott play but in my opinion he is solid. No where near Blevins offensively (I mean not even close on that end of the floor), but he showed the potential to be a major defensive force. Both he and Blevins were in foul trouble early. Upperman is very good but after playing both Smith & Upperman in my opinion Smith is slightly better at this point in the season. But both are serious contenders along with us (York) and Macon. I will say this, if we play to our capabilities, York is the best team in this district. Will we do that? I don't know but if we do, look out.
-
Odds on?. Some of you make me laugh. York beat them (although at home) with Blevins scoring 9 points. Care to reconsider?
-
York 57, Upperman 54

Haha. Uhhhh, not sure but from reading this post and a couple others from you and whatsthescore, i think it's an understandable assumption for an outsider to see that some of you "fans" are really supportive of the new coach. It's America, you've stated your opinion regarding Dodgen on numerous occasions and none of em are good. That's your right. Own it, don't backtrack now.
-
We will see, Just was impressed with Stones players. All defended and could run the floor and especially defend. I don't think they can quite compete with CCHS but They are right there with Cookeville and WC. Should be a competitive year in your district for certain.
-
They didn't have to carry the load last year.. Now they do. Big difference. Just cause you played a role last year doesn't mean you can carry the load the next. Two totally different things. I've seen WC play twice in person, Stone once. And a basketball fool would be able to tell the difference in the athletes and fundamentals. Not even close. Bad part for WC is Stones most talented players are mostly freshman. I don't have a dog in the 6AAA fight, but i can see with unbiased eyes.
-
I am sorry but WC does not have that much talent. Obvious to me. I keep hearing you have 3 players as good as anybody in the district. If that's true your district is extremely weak on talent. Stone will finish no worse than 3rd in this district and i predict them to be second.. They have twice the athletes that WC has. I am honestly glad WC fans are passionate, but really they are not that good. I don't care who the coach is.
-
Pre Season is done.... Who does everybody got on Friday?
-
Why? What's your pre district projections, top to bottom?
-
Stone Memorial is at York tomorrow night also.
