Just a post to congratulate Van Buren junior Lakelyn Bouldin on scoring her 2,000th point Friday night against Monterey. That is a huge accomplishment and I'm sure she will score many more. Congratulations from all Van Buren county fans.

yeah Sale Creek is the favorite until somebody proves they can beat them. Van Buren has the best chance to knock them off or maybe Lookout Valley but other than those two i don't see it.

Alright its late enough in the season to give your opinions on who you think is going to win each district. Who are the front runners as of now in any district?

Id like to see a Pickett co vs van buren co matchup I think it would be a really good one

That's impressive for Livingston academy. I've not seen them but they must be pretty good beating a very solid Shelby valley team by 20

If carter is as good as y'all say it won't be close. White co is not as good as there undefeated record indicates

Dickson co really surprised me they had a good team. I've known white co was good for awhile so I figured it be a good game but Dickson was just better.

Shelby valley was very well coached and all five starters were very solid. A guy I talked to said they were a favorite to win the state this year.

Based on white co undefeated record I was expecting a little more. They left much to be desired in my opinion. But I was impressed with Pickett even though they lost they competed and almost beat a more talented team.

It'll be Sale Creek and either Lookout Valley or Van Buren in the championship game. Very weak district this year compared to years past. The only way its not one of those three teams is if Richard Hardy is drastically improved because nobody else in the district has anything.

I'll admit I was wrong about the outcome of the game but I knew white Co was a good team. To hold a team like Clarkrange to 35 in their own gym thats big time. Congratulations to White Co.

White Co looked really good when I saw them and maybe at White Co it be a different story. I just hope its a good game and I will most certainly be there when Clarkrange goes to White Co.

Right you are. There will be one less though after this game. I got Clarkrange at home just too tough.

From what I can tell these are the last two undefeated girls teams in the state but don't quote me on that. White Co looks impressive from what I've seen but from what I've heard Clarkrange is just too good especially with the game being on their home floor be a tough game for white co

Who wins it this year? This is most likely going to be one of the weaker districts this year with LV having a new coach and VB being very young. Don't know much about the other teams but Sale Creek has to be the front runner. Your thoughts?

I think the last thing I was doing was making excuses I readily admitted JC outplayed VB in every phase of the game. And I completely agree with you if you can't get fired up for the team that ended your season what can you get fired up for. All I'm saying is that Jackson county is not 20 points better. It was one game, first game of the season no less, that the Eaglettes just did not show up. So I think your a little quick to say they are 20 points better after the first game of the season. Good luck to y'all as well and I hope when you see VB later in the year they show up and play the way they are capable of playing.

As I said Van Buren would bounce back and they did with a 30 point win tonight against CSAS. Don't know what the problem was Tuesday night but the Eaglettes have seemed to figure it out.

I was very disappointed in Van Buren tonight. Were never really in the game, VB just didn't show up tonight. With that being said VB is still a good team let me assure of that. I don't know what went wrong but rest assured that VB will figure it out as the season goes along too talented not to

What are the good single A programs nowadays? I know Cascade was a top notch program about 5-6 years ago before they were moved to AA. Lookout Valley had a couple great teams about 3 years ago. So I was wondering what programs are stacked for awhile?

VB gave Jackson all they could handle. In the end Jaycee Coe and Jackson's experience was enough to pull away down the stretch. I believe VB will be one of the top teams in single A for the next couple years. Congratulations to Jackson County it was a great game.

yeah I definitely believe the game to watch will be the VB-Jackson Co game. VB just won their first region championship in school history so you can bet the fans will come in droves and be fired up. I'm sure Jackson will be too coming off that heartbreaker against Clarkrange. As important as Coe and Bouldin are to their teams i think this game comes down to the supporting cast. Jackson knows how to win this time of year but if VB shooters hit some shots i do seriously believe that it will come down to the fourth quarter. This game has the potential to be the best game of the night Saturday night or Jackson could blow it open. Either way you've got one great program going up against an up and coming program and I personally believe it will come down to the last shot.

I think you hit the nail on the head with that assessment. 3a would have to play the absolute best game they are capable of to knock off either of those teams from 4a.

If VB plays as bad as they did tonight CSAS, I believe, will win. However, I know that they are better than what they showed it was an ugly win but a win nonetheless. I always believe its good to get the ugly win out of the way early. I also feel like people are underestimating VB a little bit. No doubt Jackson Co and Clarkrange and top shelf teams but I believe if one of them especially Jackson goes to VB that VB could win that game. All it would take is for Bouldin to match Coe bucket for bucket which she has done both games they played and VB supporting cast to hit some shots which is possible. I think VB will win the region and play Jackson Co. If that happens it will be a barnburner.
