Well looks like I got 5 of 8.

Yeah that was probably not a good time to trade a out for a run. It ended up deciding the game. I thought SP came to play. Their pitcher did an outstanding job. I think they had 2 errors. The error at 2nd was a missed pickoff throw that would have been a out as the runner was definetly caught. That runner ended up advancing to 3rd and was the run that eventually came home for the lead. GP's Drew Hall also pitched a great game. Even when base runners were on he stuck with his game. I thought the 3 pickoffs early in the game set a tone on the base running by SP. I think GP had 1 error on a bad throw to 1st.

Jackson Christian beat McKenzie 6-3

That was a great game. Both teams manufacturing runs in a low scoring game.

Boyd up 5-1 in bottom of 6th

I read on twitter that the Boyd-Buchanan/S. Pittsburgh game was moved to Thursday @ 8:30 pm EST. Is that correct?

Goodpasture won 7-0 but the game was closer than the score. Jackson Co had base runners on most of the innings but just couldn't get that spark. Jackson Co's starting pitcher did well until the 4th inning. It seemed as if he was running out of steam. At any rate Jackson Co played a better game than the scoreboard shows. Congratulations to Goodpasture on the Region 4A title.

Not certain but I suppose it was moved to avoid the 80% chance of storms on Wednesday.

The Tuesday game was never posted on Coach T so I was unaware of the first game. I based my opinion on their season performance. Jackson Co lost to Trousdale Co, Gordonsville, and Red Boiling Springs. According to Coach T, Jackson Co had 4 wins in the regular season and Clarkrange had 21 wins in the regular season. More importantly Clarkrange was the number 1 seed in the district, so I guess it is actually 2 upsets.

I like Sycamore over Lipscomb and White House over Hume Fogg.

I was shocked to see Jackson Co. put a 11-0 shutout on Clarkrange. Anyone know the details on that upset?

Watertown edged out Trousdale Co in a hitting duel. They went back and forth as it seemed no one wanted to go home. Final score 10 to 9. Goodpasture was able to jump out early to a comfortable lead and added multiple runs every inning. Trousdale Co came from behind in the 5th inning to tie the game at 6 each. Then went on to score the go ahead run in the top of the 7th with final score of 7 to 6. Goodpasture was able to secure a victory in a game filled with errors on all sides, including the umpires. This game had a total of 9 errors in 5 innings. 5 of the errors belonged to Goodpasture. Both teams had trouble with the strike zone for about 2 innings. Update- Watertown took care of Gordonsville tonight in a close game. Gordonsville attempted to make a run in the last 2 innings but fell short. Goodpasture handed Troudale Co a loss while Drew Hall pitched a no hitter. It seemed. TC's pitcher was struggling early and was offered no help from the bull pen. I have no idea why but the 8a tournament is at Friendship Christian. I have no information about the 7a tournament..

Can someone clarify this. Everything I have read on here says the player to a swing at the umpire but didn't hit him. The Tennessean is reporting that the player actually hit the umpire.
