Krich - You are right they are both very good kids. Kids often do dumb things at odd times. As any parent will tell you don't ever say my son/daughter will never. . . . As any parent, teacher, or coach can tell you they will. This was an embarrassing incident for the coach, the school and the community. The coach did the right thing by immediately benching two of his best players in what was the biggest game of the year. I commend him and all high school coaches who have the difficult job of working with our youth and their parents. Coaching is a difficult job not made any easier by overzelious parents. My kid is descent and has been playing on a summer team, not a school team. NOW his coach says he has to play with the school team this summer, but they only played, like 3 tournaments last summer. His summer team played around 40-45 games and had kids from different schools, which I think is better. He was 15 last year, but there were some scouts around at some of the tournys, especially in Memphis, and we are from East Tennessee. I'll not get into what team or what school because of causing him problems, but I'm looking for some insights as to how to approach the coach. I"M IN A PICKLE! I haven't been following real close but here is what is in the Press today and what little I know. 5th in conference (3-3) (8-7) overall. Disaster at Myrtle Beach. Most of losses close due to fielding errors. Big loss to UC at home. Robinson pitching well. Edgar pitching well. Nave hitting well. Will try to get Hardin to update you. Know nothing about TAD. You might check out two of Elizabethton's starting five. Michaela Pietrowski, 6-3 Soph Post and Victoria Hopson 5-8 soph wing. They have been great this year.

OZ My point exactly. If your computer is smart enough to figure out what the strength of schedule is it should also be smart enough to figure out when teams loose. No this is not a poll. The title at the top of the page is rankings. There are only 8 teams left to rank in each class, all the rest have gone home. At this point in the season it seems rather arrogent to say that it doesn't matter what has happened on the court. Perhaps your computer strength vs success formula should give added weight to the wins in regional and substate pairings. When you reach the round of 16 most of the teams will have never played each other nor will they have had a lot of common opponents, therefore your strength of schedule doesn't have a lot to compare. I like diamond2's idea of doing away with the rankings during the tourney. Instead I would recommend a capsule giving informatin on the eight or sixeen teams which remain.

I see in the "updated" top 10 capsules that Elizabethton has moved up from honorable mentioned to #9. Hard to figure out that their last two wins were over #2 Olivar Springs and #4 Pigeon Forge. As everyone says "basketball is a tournement game" and it's tourney time. Why are Upperman and Loretto also shown as #6 and #10? Seems like Chester County and Bolivar Central might also be included in the "Top Ten". There are only eight teams left in AA.

LTM We know how you feel tonight. Our road stopped at home last year (OS) and on the road the year before (AE). You, your team and your fans are a class act. I know your daughter won't be around but you will enjoy it just as much when it does come. Congratulations on a great season and much success in the future.

LTM Much the same as the first half. Basicly a 9 point game all of the third and 1/2 of the fourth. Unicoi cut the lead to 5 mid 4th. Eliz regained composure and pushed back to seven for the final. Good defensive game by both teams. goooo orange and black may the best one win!!!!

Elizabethton did beat Chucky-Doak. This sets up all district 2 in one bracket and all district 1 in the other. My bet is Elizabethton - Pigeon Forge final.
