Well my prediction was right. Not sure if Millington getting their QB back had anything to do with them playing spoiler in my 1,2,3 prediction Looks like it may come down to the Battle of the Trojans to determine that 2nd spot. Did anyone see the Ripley/Millington game? Or know if Ripley has a replay of it online somewhere? We still have Ripley and Millington to play.
Haven't seen Millington play this year but they have been known to play Ripley tough. I did see where they got their starting QB back after missing the first 3 or 4 games of the season. So that could be a key factor. It's a game I will be interested in how it plays out because Dyersburg still has to play Ripley and Millington.
As bad as I hate to say it, Covington takes this one with ease. I just hope Dyersburg doesn't get their feeling hurt too bad. We still have key games left to clinch that 2nd spot. Win or lose,,Stay focused Trojans
I say Covington, Ripley, Dyersburg 1,2,3 in that order. Unless Millington gets their starting QB back in the next couple weeks then they could play spoiler in there somewhere.
Munford is definitely better than they usually are. Those new recruits they picked up have really made a difference. But it’s still hard to tell if they have improved enough to advance in the playoffs. Let’s not forget this is 5A, (probably a 6A next year) that will be 4-0 against all 3A and 1 4A schools. Their Achilles Heel is that 2nd Rd. Time will tell
I'm not sure Covington has been out talented by anyone in the last decade or so. Especially by anyone they have beat. They are somehow stacked year after year.
I have to agree except when it's ran from your team and in that case I like it. Just hope it's enough Friday night. Should be a good game and fast. We'll be home by 9.
I agree. I'm surprised Bolton wanted to stay with SCS but at the same time I'm surprised TSSAA wouldn't want to have as many "all Shelby Co school" regions as possible. Just in case SCS superintendent wants to take a different path with all their schools, then it doesn't effect the rest of the state. If Bolton is in 7-3A and Shelby Co Schools chooses to do what they did this year then it effects both 7-3A & 8-3A. But if Bolton is in 8-3A then it only effects that region. Maybe that's not that big of a deal, I don't know.
Sorry. Didn't mean to high jack this thread. I thought Giles was in same region with Covington and was going to check out their performance this week. But obviously I know nothing. LOL
But sounds like they have a easy week ahead of them. Good luck in the playoffs guys.
I heard Giles picked up a Non-Region game against a Shelby Co team this friday night 10/23. Trying to keep loose and the rust knocked off for there game against Pearl-Cohn. Anyone know who and is it at home?
