  1. Mr. PA - What is your opinion on the collapse of our defense all of the sudden? We definitely need a gut check.
  2. I agree that all that is needed is there. Just have to put it together on Offense- YOUR defense will show up as always sir.
  3. Ooltewah has been a little bit hard to figure out with the early loss and then last week's lost to what appeared to be a down Cleveland team. (both shutout the Owls) From what I am reading on the T, it seems that Walker Valley is capable of scoring points. Ooltewah needs to get some consistency on Offense and score with people to do anything in the post season.
  4. I've been impressed with Rhea (especially last year). They are definitely beatable as Ooltewah has proven. I don't know how they will do vs. Walker Valley, but with a win does this sew up #2 spot for sure? What are the possibilities for final playoff spots? How set in stone are they?
  5. How is the Ooltewah JV doing? What does the future look like past this year?
  6. Is it safe to say that this game could decide 2nd and 3rd seedings as a lock? Those tied for 4th cannot move up even with an upset?
  7. Just curious: I have followed this thread and noted the criticism of the OC at Bradley Central. With the huge numbers Friday night, I ask what changed? Did someone else call the plays or is the OC not so bad after all? Hard to question this offensive showing regardless of the answer to my question.
  8. Can somebody give us an update on current district standings? Possible playoff scenarios?
  9. My 2 cents from a nobody outsider, just kind of intrigued by the larger schools classification: 1. It seems Bradley Central is at least competitive so far, possibly improved over last year before the jump up to super 32. Anyone who has seen them agree or disagree? 2. The QB was good last year, must be improved this year? I see a lot of discussion on him on Coach T and the newspapers in this area. I do know he is an outstanding basketball player as well. I've seen him play both sports. 3. As an old ball coach, I appreciate some of you sticking up for the other 10 (actually 25-30) kids that play. When one is so talented, it seems that others who just strap it up and do their job everyday get passed over. Be sure to celebrate those who may seem insignificant, but actually are incredibly important. 4. I wonder how this Bradley Central team would do back in the previous region? I know they have beaten 3 of the lower rung teams, but how would they compete vs. Ooltewah or Rhea co.? Has anyone seen all of these teams to compare? Anyway, good luck to Bradley Central and all of the teams in this area. You all represent us well.
  10. It's Finally here today. It's going to be a great game by 2 outstanding teams! Good luck to both, play safe and exhibit "good sportsmanship." (mostly meant for the fans and Coach T members)
  11. This is going to be a classic battle! Looking forward to some new wrinkles from the Owls this week.
  12. Sorry ole buddy- Rookie mistake trying to quote you. My name says it all!
  13. My first shot as I am still learning these teams, thus my name: Owls (chance to be really good again) Cleveland (East Ham is going to get better though) Rhea (Maybe the best in the area again) Walker (must have played pretty well last week) Bradley? (good QB from what I've read, but don't know anything about McMinn??) Soddy (Central is a work in progress) Never heard of these other 2 schools??
  14. Should we expect the Owls to bounce back and run the table?
  15. It's finally here! Football Season!
  16. As an old GA boy, I will give this my best shot. I think last year's Owls would rival either of the two GA teams mentioned here. If I was betting, last year I would have gone with Ooltewah over Dalton and Calhoun over Ooltewah, both in close games. Just my 1 cent worth.
  17. Can we start today? Ready for some football!
  18. My guess is that Ooltewah Coaches have the film memorized from last year's game and are making adjustments each day specifically for this game. It should be a great one!
  19. The more I read about Hamilton Heights, the more I am convinced that they are poised to do just what their boys team is doing. (become a national powerhouse) I don't know about summer camp games, but 2 very good players have transferred in locally to go with the international players. They should be fun to watch.
  20. No argument from me. Truth is Truth and I am a little slow. So does Rhea come in as the favorite? Looking forward to seeing some HS football.
  21. Will anything really change? Ooltewah to be the district favorite with Cleveland close behind. East Hamilton, Soddy Daisy and Walker Valley still a few steps behind? Is that about right? How will McMinn be?
  22. From all I hear, the Owls will be just fine. Good luck boys!
  23. What is embarrassing is that these 2 schools turned each other in. Contact with middle school students is as old as the opening day of any high school in the state/ nation. It begins immediately. Almost every coach at every school has contact with the so called "feeder" schools in a system and if it is as you say on here, an "open enrollment" county, I assume most everyone is talking to everyone. Yes, the rule and subsequent punishment is a joke because we all know it happens everywhere. Call me old school, but shouldn't these administrations/ athletic dept's worked this out together before attempting to get someone in trouble? If I understand this thread it appears that one new coach tried to get the rival school in trouble and violated the same rule himself a few weeks later? So the other school gets pay back? Sorry, but to me a phone call between 2 Principals and AD's is better than this game of tattle tale. I have not heard of any other schools telling on each other....... and there are some pretty good rivalries in Chattanooga. How many middle school students do Baylor, McCallie, GPS, etc. have contact with??? Keep in mind, they do NOT have ANY "feeder" schools and compete with as much emotion as any other schools in the area. Yet, they all seem to co-exist and have not been accused or punished (TSSAA) by the public schools they pull athletes from every year. So how would an athlete enter these privates without any contact? Yet a public school coach turns in another public school coach??? Again, pretty ridiculous to try to make your rival look bad. Just compete on the field or the court!
