  1. I agree 100% that stats mislead at times, but at the end of the day that's all you have to go by. Stats are facts. The level of competition doesn't discredit Vaughn from being a great RB. He can't help the school he attends and who he plays against on Friday nights. So, number wise he's among the best in the nation. They might mislead, but they never lie. I do agree w/ you to a certain extent though... I hold a couple records, handful of championships, few pictures on the wall. I think it suits me well personally. I'm pretty sure your still working on your progress. But that's neither here nor there.
  2. It's going to be hard getting to the East QB he hasn't been sacked all season. He's very allusive, athletic, and loves playing outside the pocket. Who is Evans and what did position does he play? What happen?
  3. Only four home games? That's odd. It makes since now that you broke it down. They had no other options. Week 9 it's going to be freezing. Thanks.
  4. Remember the name "Thomas Booker" for East Nashville. Booker (#23) who exploded in the TSSAA Class AA double OT championship vs. Jackson SS gave you a taste of what is more to come. He's a big time talent, and could be one of the best players metro/middle TN has seen in a long time. Fey believes he is the most talented players he has ever coached.
  5. CPA is more suspect than ever this year. Saw them get totally blasted vs. BA this summer at Lipscomb.
  6. Aren't you suppose to schedule a weaker team for your Homecoming to secure a win? I'm confused on Westmorelands thought process. Is Week 3 a HC tradition?
  7. DH: He's strictly a RB. Baylor: I agree with everything except (Edge to Pearl D Line) I'm pretty sure MBA has the advantage up front. MBA will probably load the box and make their young QB make plays. Heard he has a cannon down field but lacks accuracy. Pearl just has to play discipline & play through adversity., Wish this game was TV again. ***UPSET ALERT*** Pearl 28 MBA 21
  8. The district will come down to East and Pearl on October 17th. East doesn't stand a chance on stoping Vaughn, but Pearl will have their hands full with Upton & McAfee. Who I believe is the most explosive backfield duo in TN. Pearl will still cake walk. Neither teams have played ANY competition. These blowouts are expected. This week will expose these "descent" teams in a weak 10AA district. Let's see how they respond.
  9. 3 games 26 carries 735 yards 28.3 yards per carry 245.0 yards per game 73 long 10TDS In only 8 quarters
  10. This should be a great game! Pearl Cohn has the best RB "BY FAR" in the state but I have yet to see MBAs RB. Heard he's tough as will. I believe discipline will play a factor for Pearl. Pearl also has a defense with limited returning starters. This is a true test for a Pearl team who has yet to play anybody & will run through their district. The Vaughn kid is SERIOUS & will rush for 200+ Easily. Maybe more with a heavy dosage this Friday! How will the Firebirds respond to adversity once being scored on is the real question! Pearl is out powered, but they has the passion & grit for a possible upset. I hope Pearl pulls it out it! Key word "Hope"…
  11. (First Post) Westmoreland & East was a great battle last year and I look forward to coming back to seeing a great game/atmosphere! Westmoreland took a huge blow last year, right before half time on the screen TD pass. College coaches will be in attendance to see 3* ATH/QB #2 Isiah Upton & 2* #10 RB/DB Lennox McAfee. Upton is one of the best players in Metro. East has the most explosive QB/RB combo in TN (1,500+yrds & 17tds combined) w/ defense that is VERY stingy & takes pride in shutouts. The MAIN question is how will the team respond after being score on? Westmoreland will have to be rough/physical with a fineness/fast offensive to stand a chance! Should be a great game! I'm going East 42 Westmoreland 28
