Pearl Cohn has a cake walk to the 3rd round. Easily. 1st and 2nd round teams are a comined 10-10.

Keyshawn Vaughn for Pearl Cohn has to the the front runner (30 TDs 2,000 rushing yards) Followed by East Nashville's Isiah Upton. He's out for the season due to an injury but had over 2,000+ 27 TDs in ONLY 8 games w/ a 8-0 record. There are no two more than worthy candidates than Vaughn and Upton.

Maplewood lost that game on the last drive before half time! Lol, what was that about? Horrible clock management. The QB spiked the ball on 4th down. Stalled out at the 1 yard line. On a more serious note. PC hasn't been the explosive, high potent offense here of lately. I'm use to seeing 50+. Last 3 games have been 36-39-35. He could have finished the season with a specialist brace, but Upton, his family, and coaching staff decided the best decision was surgery. Upton has a had a great high school career & finished no regrets. He'll be back 100% late April early May and ready for the MTSU season

East special teams & offensive was horrible lastnight. They looked undisciplined and disoriented. That's the knock on all Metro teams though. We didn't look mentally/emotionally prepare lastnight. The "underdog passion" that East carriers into every game wasn't there. NCS defensive was great, and had a great game plan. We all know if #2 would've played it would've been a different story. That 7 yards stat is misleading to a certain extent. Injuries happen in sports, offensive looked dazed after he went down earlier. That's not taken away for your defense, which was lights out. It's just being truthful, it would've been a different game. IMO NCS offensive didn't look good at all. You had success with one play all night. Going left w/ #35 behind #50 & the fullback. Once the defensive made that adjustment, the offensive looked suspect. NCS like numerous delay of games, burned early timeouts due to confusion, and the pass game was little to nothing lastnight with 2 picks. With the time possession NCS had I was thinking a blow out. 19 points wasn't intriguing. They did want they had to do to win, which I respect. I have the uttermost respect for our defense & defensive coaches, they played 40 mins and only allowed 19 points (3 in the second half) to a team that averages 40+. That's something to hang our hats on. East will bounce back vs. Lipscomb and take 1st place in the district next week. No worries. NCS was the better team lastnight. Respect.

He's ranked 13 in the nation for a reason. He's special. He should be ranked top 5 after tonight. East had no answers for him. Both sides of the ball. NCS is a very solid team. Let's be honest, Upton's knee injury 1st drive in the second was a huge factor. But, 9 yards, no first downs is still unacceptable for a top 10 mid-state 8-0 team. East whole demeanor tonight looked uninterested. From the coaching staff down to the players. East defensive played at least 40+ mins tonight and only allowed 3 points after the 1st quarter. East needed some "humble pie" (Jimbos voice) Hopefully they'll respond Friday in the district matchup for 1st place. Tonight's lost hurt. East will win with dignity, and lose with class. Goodluck to NCS & the rest of their season. Congrats once again.
