Who wants to get in a peeing match? You may have covered it...I was just adding it to the list form you started. Bitter Sweet? I have stated before I'm not originally from Moore Co., but follow the Raiders since I live there now. I haven't been posting for a few weeks because I have been traveling, but I'm back. Seems the Raiders have lost their way recently. Only thing I can say is win and you're in...lose and I'll be traveling to watch other Region 4 games during the playoffs.

To help take this a step farther.... Huntland vs Fayetteville Huntland lost 49 - 21 Moore County vs Fayetteville Moore Co. lost 14 - 0

You could argue both ways that this is/isn't a rivalry yet. The two games played between these two teams the last couple of years have been very tight. MC winning both of those tight games. Both games have had playoff implication, just as this season does. I personally believe MC wins this season strictly on experience. FHS is putting together a pretty good record this year, but I see is an FHS team that: ...put some points up late against FRA backups. ...beat a Huntland team that is devastated by injury. ...beat Mt Pleasant for a decent win. ...beat a Cascade team that has TONS of problems. ...beat, but didn't slaughter a Richland team that probably shouldn't compete with them anyway. ...was close, but no cigar against CA. (point could be made CA didn't play well, or that FHS played the game of their lives! ...face a good MC team this week that could potentially (will IMO) bring FHS back to reality. I hope the MC faithful can keep it together this year without being kicked out! I know they want this win pretty bad!!! I will however go with rebelboy121 for now that our rival game has been/is/will be Huntland for the foreseeable future. Good luck to both teams! Go Raiders!!!

Boy....for such a RIVALRY game this thread has been very quiet and boring!!! Either my Raiders have their minds on straight or they are a little worried about what FHS has been doing this season thus far. I have seen a couple of topics and write-ups about FHS but how can this topic of all weeks stay this silent???? Friday looks to be a good matchup with great football weather. I'll be the one sitting on the edge of my seat all night with my . Come on Varo, Big Bigby.......give me and all of the other CoachT'ers something to read and comment on!!!!!

I have waited for this game for over a year. This looks to be a game that will be interesting to watch from start to finish. Can Moore Co continue their dominance over FHS like recent years, or will FHS be able to rebound after their Super Bowl loss to Columbia Academy? Sounds like FHS gave CA everything they wanted and more. Unfortunately, it's very hard to replicate back to back games like that at this level. The game between these two teams looks as if it will be a bitter rivalry for the forseeable future! But I do know that Moore Co currently is 2-0 vs FHS. Can we please fast forward to Friday night?

I was at the game last year. You don't see games like that much! I'll let you know how how Summertown is after our game! Good luck tonight...you're going to need it!

I follow Region 4a and have zero allegiances to speak of. If I had to choose a team I would follow that whiskey school from Lynchburg. I say this only because I live in Lynchburg. I'll definitely be at the Moore vs. FHS. It will be interesting to see the final after you meet CA! Good luck😳

Fayetteville has had a good year to this point, but after going 2-8 last year are you guy's really ready to face and hang with a legit powerhouse ranked #8 in the state. I believe Fayetteville has some good talent, but don't get too excited just because you have beaten a couple of teams (Huntland and Cascade) who are having surprisingly down years. I will be able to form more of an opinion after I watch this game, but I still think C.A. by as much as they want. They will look to show FHS what a real program looks like!

I agree, I should have said I was disappointed in the strength of some of the teams up to this point. There are plenty of games for some teams to rise to the top. As far as Mt. Pleasant I was a little shocked they lost to Fayetteville. From rumors I have heard Huntland has had several injuries this year that may have totally effected their team and chemistry on the field. Mt. Pleasant has some very good athletes on their team and should finish #2 or 3 (all will depend on how Moore Co. and Fayetteville finish out) Fayetteville has some good looking talent, but they seem to rely too much on the BIG play and not grinding for an entire game.

Overall this region isn't as strong as I would have expected. I was expecting Huntland and Mt. Pleasant to push for #2, but for whatever reason those two teams have not lived up to expectations. I am still trying to decide about Moore Co., I feel they have a decent team but they may be young and 1 year away from really competing for one of the top couple of spots. Columbia Academy to me sets itself apart from the rest of the pack. Be it recruiting or just luck of being blessed with awesome talent, they are loaded and will continue to be each and every year. Fayetteville is also a mystery to me because they start soooo slow and usually don't get going until the 2nd half of every ballgame. At some point this will come back and haunt them. They won't be able to hang with Columbia Academy and Moore Co. if they don't get going in the first half. Richland may not have the best record but they are the up and coming team. Coach Moos has that team playing hard and will make some noise in future years if he doesn't jump ship to greener pastures. This week should be a good week for this region to see how certain teams will respond. My predictions are as follows: Moore Co. vs. Summertown - Moore Co. by 21 (Summertown is a 1st year program) Richland vs. Grace Christian - Richland by 14 (Moos's team is tough & Grace is a 1st yr. program) Mt. Pleasant vs. Cornersville - Mt. Pleasant by 21 (M.P. has some very good athletes) Columbia Academy vs. Fayetteville - C.A. by as much as they want....C.A. is top dog, Fayetteville has some good talent but the problem with them seems to be that some of their athletes don't play hard and rely on the BIG play instead of hard work all throughout the game.

1. Who cares about a jamboree, they are meant to get younger players a little playing time. Coaches RARELY every show anything in jamboree games. 2. The Fayetteville players were mouthy as I remember because one of them got benched by the coach for running his mouth. I also recall the Fayetteville players were responding to the Forrest players who were running their mouths and calling some of the Fayetteville players names that shouldn't be said!!! 3. Fayetteville has played totally under expectations and the players and coaches have a lot to improve before next season. Forrest lost the Huntland game, but Huntland has had a great season and hopefully they can keep it going. 4. I expect a very aggressive and hard hitting game this Friday for Halloween. I expect Forrest to win seeing that Fayetteville is on a 7 game losing streak, but I hope it stays close. 5. Fayetteville has nothing to lose and should come out excited and make some noise to jump start the offseason program that hopefully will get them into contention for next year.

Fayetteville should not have lost to Moore County this year. There is just no excuse for it. I agree completely. Completely mismanaged! Moore Co seemed like they wanted to win and they fought extremely hard. Fayetteville on the other hand must have been more concerned about homecoming weekend activities than playing football. For as bright as I predicted this season for FHS, this could be a LONG season!!!

With these two schools so close together is this not a rivalry??? I know they had a close game last year and from hearing people talk this should be a great game again this year.
