This will be a great game. DB defense will be the difference in a close one. Ironside will hurt you running the ball also. DB better put a spy on him. Maryville wins by 40 something the next 2 weeks over whomever they play. There are very good in every aspect of the game. I dont think Farragut or DB/Bearden scores on their ones.

If Science wins Friday night its a 2 way tie with DB for first place. Science Hill will be the 1 seed because they beat DB head to head. Farragut lost last night making this possible.

When playoff's roll around regions 1 & 2 everyone very equal except Maryville. Any given night anyone can win or loose except Maryville much to the disbelief of the DB fans with them parent goggles on. Its been hilarious this week listening to all the DB fans believing they could play with the Rebels. They will get introduced to Blount county football this week at Alcoa and in 2 weeks at Maryville if they beat Bradley or Mcminn 1st round.

Not looking so STUPID today am I? Tough schedule paid off last night for the Toppers. I knew if we didn't turn the ball over we could beat DB. Athlete for Athlete they cant match up!!!!! We still have to take care of business next week with a very dangerous Bearden team. Region 1 & 2 playoff teams are very equal except Maryville. I have enjoyed all the humor this week with all the DB fans believing they could play with Maryville. What a Joke.

Science Hill Plays a clean game and keeps turnovers even or Plus 1 or 2 the Hill wins in a squeaker. If we turn the ball over it will be a long night.

1-Maryville no one else close. 2-DB, SHHS, Farragut, Bradley Central & McMinn County. Bearden?? Any given night any of these teams could beat the other. DB would have at lease 3 L's with Science Hill schedule. Bold Prediction. Bearden beats Farragut this week and Science Hill beat DB and Bearden to win the conference and be the 1 seed for the playoffs. The tough schedule for the HILL pays off the last 2 games and playoffs. The youngsters that were inexperienced early in the season have grown up. If we limit the mistakes we may be playing Maryville in round 3. From what i saw Friday night i believe any Coach could have been ejected under those circumstances!!!!

The entire mess would have never happened had they not blown the call when we were punting and the 11th Maryville player ran on the field. The refs screwed up and tried to make up that wrong call the entire series until we were back where the original punt was & 4th/66. I was 4 rows up in the bleachers when we got the 1st Unsportsmanlike & heard the entire conversation. The best way i can describe it is from the movie remember the Titian's when the ref dropped the flag for the coach asking a question in the game the refs were cheating in. Coach Carter then ask why you changed the down from 2nd to 3rd with no play being run. That got him another flag then the next 2 after that.Coach was justified in all this mess. I commend him for standing up for his team & staff. When the refs screw up like they did multiple times in this series with basic mistakes against both teams they should have to answer too someone. They are part time employees with all the power and go home after the game with no one to answer too. ITS FLAT OUT RIDICULOUS WHEN A GROWN MAN CANT HAVE A CONVERSATION WITH ANOTHER GROWN MAN WITHOUT GETTING MULTIPLE PENALTIES. I challenge you to ask Coach Hunt about his perception of these events & he would agree how OUTRAGEOUS they were. I cant believe our local TV station made a story out of it. They were just trying to stir the pot for no reason. Coaches get tossed all the time without it being a story. The refs did a decent job most of the night outside that series. If the shoe was on the other foot i feel certain all the Maryville fans that are being so critical would feel as i do if Coach Hunt had been ejected. We need to support our Coaches that do all they do for our kids not be so quick to criticize.

Your exactly right!!! Never seen a ref so super sensitive. I have seen Stacy mad and probably deserved to get tossed but this was awful. This guy had an agenda.

Go back and watch the film. The side judge blew the whistle ready for play. We kicked the ball like we should have. The side judge didn't have the guts to tell the head ref he had blew the whistle. Didn't really matter at that point but just shows incompetence.

That entire series when all h### broke loose started with the refs. They missed 2 calls that benefited SHHS. We ran a receiver on the field that should of been a penalty. Then the call against Maryville on the punt after watching film this morning was the 11th man running on. From that point on it was like the Scene out of remember the Titans when the 1st half of the game was fixed. I believe the refs realized they missed those two calls and no matter what happened they were not going to let us score. The 1st call against our Asst Coach before we broke off the big run he was asking the ref on the sideline why he called holding on us if he was going to let Maryville hold. No cussing no loud screaming just chirping a little and out came the flag. I was 4 rows up in the stands and heard & saw the entire sequence. Maryville coaches were justifiably screaming and yelling at the refs on the call on the punt with no flag. We broke off the big run then another first down when one of our kids was called for unsportsmanlike after the play after one of the Maryville lineman was rolling our kid across the field after the play right in front of the ref. At that point it was 1st and 25. We ran a play with the marker showing 1st down for little to no gain. At that point the refs changed it from 2nd to 3rd down. No explanation for why, just changed it. Coach Carter can be seen questioning him on the sidelines about the down when the same ref drops another flag. At that point it gets ugly and its 3rd & 66 or so from that point game over. I would have reacted the same way coach did. The refs were stealing from us right in front of our eyes and we couldn't talk to the ref on our sidelines or it was a 15 yarder. Did it cost us the game no but at that point we had a chance to be somewhat competitive. Its sad at that level for both sides to have incompetent officials. I love our coach and believe he did the right thing standing up for our kids & team. Go Toppers!!!!

Any great pre-game meal suggestions in Maryville?

Do either of you really think you have a chance next week against Ballard & company. This should be a great game that Betsy squeaks out and then here comes the Devils. This game Friday night is probably 1 of the top 3 in the state. Betsy has Beaten 1 ^A and 2 5A teams still alive in the playoffs. WItten and his staff does a great job having the kids ready to play plus they have a score to settle Friday night. Respect each other and go play the game the right way.

We will have scratch, claw, fight & pray a-lot to have a chance Friday night. The rain can help us if we can play clean football. We have to put it all on the line Friday night and battle to the end. Control the ball, no turnovers and limit the big plays from Tee and AJ. 1,2,19 & 22 have to do a great job in the secondary. The D-line @ linebackers must have the game of their lives. If not it will be a replay of a few years back when we didn't get past the 50 until late in the 4th.

Science Hill has to control the ball eat clock and limit the big plays and 3 & outs to have a chance. A few turnovers will help us as well. If that doesn't happen it will be a blow out

DB should not have been playing Maryville in 2012. SHHS had DB beat and lost the game on a penalty on a legit trick play off-sides call on a punt. One of the best HS games i have ever watched.

Just the facts!!!!!!

Ticket folks and concessions were awesome. Both trips could not have ask for nicer people. The coaches/admin purposely made us carry all of our equipment, coolers, Camera equipment etc a significant distance just being difficult and unwelcoming. We had played there 2 years prior and knew how easy it was to unload etc. Wasn't the case for the playoff game last year.
