We have been to Bradley County 2 times over the past few years. By far 2 of the worst experiences in my sons athletic careers. 4 years ago we won in spite of a phantom off-sides call late in the game among many other terrible calls. We had our coaching staff confronted and attacked after the game then arrive to the locker room to find many things stolen and ransacked that belonged to the kids. Last year the staff and admin at Bradley was less than welcoming making life very difficult for us getting set up pre-game. No Southern Hospitality lets say. Then the worst officiated game i have ever seen on any level in any sport. Bradley had a player shove the ref and another ref grabbed him put his arm around him and talked to him on the field. Thats an automatic ejection at any level. A extra point that was clearly good that mysteriously was called no good after Bradley missed theirs on the previous score. A fumble SH clearly recovered that was awarded to Bradley is just a few of the calls. It was just awful and a embarrassment to the TSSAA and the officials that in spite of we almost won. Were very excited to have Bradley coming to Johnson City in what should be a very good football game. If you look at head to head games it should be a SH win but it wont be easy. I expect a very tight game with turnovers and special teams not the refs deciding the outcome. We owe them some revenge in a big game. Go Toppers!!!

If you have the kids, parents,community & admin buy in that record doesn't matter as long as you reach the playoffs the Team will be so much better playing better competition. Last year DB had a rough start and hit their stride at the end of the season and playoffs. SHHS was the opposite played well early and didn't finish strong against Jeff County but played a very good playoff game that could have gone either way. This year SHHS is playing better going into the playoffs with DB struggling at the end. The competition we have faced each week has made us much better even though loosing is very tough for everyone. I would much rather have the 4-5 record we have going into tonight's game than being 8-1 and won 3 cupcake games by 40. We are a much better team with the tough schedule. SHHS and DB has 2 of the toughest schedules in the state. DB missed the boat when they didn't hire a very successful local coach that wanted the job. Sure he may have upset the apple cart & good ole boys but they would be winning lots of games in a few years. No one knows what these coaches go thru in today's world dealing with all they do with kids, parents etc. I don't believe many of us would do it for what they are paid and all the grief they receive.

It could be 42-41 or 17-14. I believe SHHS gets the dub this week.

The Hill is 1 play each game from being 6-1. This week is make or break for them. Toppers start a 3 game winning streak this week along with Hardin Valley starting a 4 game loosing streak that will leave a 3 way tie for 2nd place when the season winds down in 6A Region 1. Farragut 1st SHHS, DB & Bearden 2nd HV 5th Jeff CO 6th Mo West 7th 4th place has to go to Maryville. All the other games Region 1 teams can win in the 1st round. Not easy but can win.

Region 1 top 4-5 teams could win or loose against each other on any given night. Farragut, Bearden, SHHS & DB very closely matched. I have not seen Hardin Valley yet.

All are entitled to their opinions. I believe and hope your wrong. They don't appear to be that strong.

We absolutely care and no rumblings here. Could easily be 3-1 going into this week. I would rather loose early than end like we did last year loosing late.

Back on track this week for the Hill in a tight game. The players are focused and ready for a 6 game win streak and conf championship.

WE have to show up Friday night and play a perfect game of football to compete with Greeneville. The kids are hungry and very disappointed with the loss to DB Friday night. Tough opponent to play after a tough emotional loss. Coach will have a good game plan and the kids ready to play.

Thank you. I knew after watching the film from Oak Ridge game it would be a dogfight. Surprised by low scoring and DB slowing it down so much. SHHS couldn't stop the run and DB did. The score before half killed SHHS and was the difference. Regroup and face the Devils next week. Farragut may run the table with 5 or 6 playing for 2-3 &4. Good luck to DB rest of the way.

DB moved the ball very well against Oak Ridge. The turnovers killed them and led to easy scores. I was very impressed with DB after watching this game. They could have won without the mistakes or been a very close game. Tonight will be a fight.

They will be 31 points scored by the end of halftime. Its a 40 something to 30 something game the HILL. Too many weapons in the end and 2 close tight games will help the Hilltoppers. DB first 2 games been over before halftime.

Week 1 the Defense played really well at Elizabethton. Left with a short field most of the night and in a hole. Gave up a little over 200 yards to a very good offense. Week 2- The QB and RB are as good of a combo as anyone in the state. I don't see anyone completely shutting them down. They ran all over Maryville last year till the RB went down. SHHS Defense gave up a couple big plays and made some mistakes last week. Lots of youngsters still learning

If Science Hill plays clean football they are tough to beat. Lots of new kids on the field the past 2 weeks for the first time that are growing up quickly. They have faced lots of adversity the last two weeks and never blinked. Battled to the end of both games that could of gone either way with 1 play here or there. Its always a fun battle when these two great communities compete on the football field. This game should be no different with our big guys in the trenches leading the way and wearing DB down leading to a 2-3 TD margin for the hill in the end.

All of us at the Hill are thankful for the good ole boy network & inflated egos that prevented DB from hiring the local coach that wanted the position and would have made a great impact. They have it rolling from pee-wee to high school.

Close early with the Hill pulling away late with a 10-20 point victory. SHHS will control both lines of scrimmage and wear down Betsy in the 2nd half. Betsy has great skill players that will test SHHS defense. SHHS running game with 3 backs that can get it done and control the game will make for long time consuming drives on offense. SHHS defense will surprise this year especially as they gain experience. Brutal schedule for the HILL out of the gate!

DB has a great chance to win next week. IF they play their game and run the ball they will get the win. Bradley wasn't big or fast. A team similar to Farragut. DB is on a roll with the domination O-Line and running attack. The defense must have played really well to keep the Owls to 7 points. (Very Impressive)

We scored 14 points against Jeff County and quit in every aspect of the game. It was a embarrassing loss with no one to blame but ourselves. It really cost us after the Farragut loss Thursday night. We will put our big boy pants on and go to BC and compete for the W. We must play well in every aspect of the game and keep our composure in a tough environment. Jaylen can hurt BC just like Hopkins did Friday night with his legs. It should be a great battle of 2 good teams with the season on the line. I hope the Hill & Tribe can square off in a couple weeks in another battle.

This could be a very good game going either way especially if Sincere Quinn plays. I don't know his status for Friday night. The Owls had the turnover bug against Science Hill and still managed to make a game of it even though score didn't reflect it. The Owls have speed and athletes all over the field. If DB can run the ball and dominate time of possession it could be a long night for the Owls. DB has lots of momentum at the moment and gets the win in a close one.

Should be worth the price of admission!!!
