NG coach is definitely trying hard to make The Huskies respectable, it isn’t working yet but hopefully some good things will happen soon for them. I got CD 55-6, I’ll be there so I’ll try and update here as we go.

Chuckey Doak wins 34-7. pretty much controlled the game from the point when they returned a north fumble 99 yards to the house to open the scoring, North lost the momentum and seemed to never recover

i'm just here to congratulate whichever of these teams plays my Black Knights next week. I can't see myself making a trip that far to watch a game that will be over before it starts.

Chuckey Doak won an emotional game at the Black Hole after losing a teammate in a car accident last Saturday. Final score 23-12. it was 6-6 after 1, 16-12 after the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and the final 23-12. if my maths are correct Chuckey Doak has pretty much clinched a playoff spot, you always want that coveted first round match up at Alcoa.

This sucks, he rode my dads bus last year and was always smiling and joking around and really could brighten your day if you were down. I'll keep his family in my prayers. also gonna keep Cameron Hamm and family in my prayers, he was a wr for CD from 2012-2015. i'll be at CD this Friday to watch them play Claiborne, we'll see how they deal with the emotions of it on the field.

North wins 27-21. CD just couldn't do anything on offense in the second half. Grubbs returned a kick and caught a 4th quarter td for CD but they really couldn't get him the ball enough, and CD couldn't stop the run in the 4th quarter. It was 0-0 after 1, 14-14 at the half, and 14-14 after 3. Good game throughout. Also just a question, I don't go to a lot of high school games outside of Chuckey Doak, do bands usually play while the teams are playing? Like playing to purposely make noise to distract the other team. I don't really have a problem with it but just can't remember if I've seen another school do it.

I will be there unless something goes wrong through the week and im still playing catch up Friday night, but as long as im done by 8:30 ill go since my shop is 2 minutes from CDHS. the first 2 games between them were close but the last 2 have been beatdowns by the road team, we'll see on Friday i guess.

Johnson County pulls away in the 4th and wins 43-23, it was 13-0 JC after 1, 13-10 JC at the half, and 30-23 JC after 3. Wasn't at the game but apparently there was a bunch of kickoff return td's.

Should be a good one, I would make the drive up there but i just don't have the time to. I think they've played 4 times in recent memory with neither team winning at home, a 23-20 JC playoff win @ CD, CD 39-26 @ JC, JC 48-19 @ CD, and JC 14-13 last year at CD.

yeah, they got some talent. They've got to get some kind of run game going, theyre o-line is bigger than CD but they just got over powered all game. They's rushing stats probably look good on paper but almost all of it was on qb scrambles.

I went to the game so i figured i would chime in on here since i havent in a long time, seen there was already a thread and it already had 3 pages so i figured it was talk about the game. I was wrong, somehow this turned into a Greeneville thread. Anyway, Chuckey Doak won 28-26. It was 14-0 Central after one quarter and 22-20 CD at the half and after the 3rd quarter. I hope the Sullivan Central faithful get to enjoy a win this year, they seem like good people. It was a good game, i mean not Maryville- Oakland super talented championship contenders good but it was a fun game.

CD winning 42-14 was quite a shock to me, it was never close either. CD led 35-0 before North scored their first points in the 4th. I watched them play Johnson County and they looked decent just way to many mistakes but they cleaned those up in practice i guess.

Saw Unaka play North Greene and it wasn't to pretty, no idea how good Cosby is though. I didn't see a reason not to pull for the Rangers to have some success this season so i will quietly be pulling for them to be competitive and maybe even win a game.

This game was really ugly, I left with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter and the score was 43-8 NG. Don't know if North Greene is actually really good this year or if Unaka is really that bad, i guess i'll find out next week @ Chuckey-Doak.

i'm a Chuckey-Doak guy but i have decided i will travel out in the middle of nowhere to north Greene to watch some football tonight. Don't know what to expect tonight just hope for a good entertaining game, I got North Greene winning 44-34.

well Greeneville is my last hope for a Greeneville area team, so i will pull for them in the playoffs. Devils win 45-10-ish.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it out tonight, game sounds pretty ugly anyway. Sounds like Murphy is rotating players a lot tonight on the radio.

They had week 0 off and have had some physical games along the way, and without a deep roster that makes it tough.

I have not been looking forward to this game for my Knights lol. CD has done a lot to their football field, the visitors have a locker room now and have for 3 or 4 years, the visitors also have a staircase to walk down instead of a muddy hill along with a new concession stand. Yes there is still mud but that is to be expected on a grass field. With that said i think CD not having a bye week is starting to wear on them, not that it would effect the outcome of this game, and also having all those linemen drop like flies last week doesn't help. I think Elizabethon wins 45-14 or so. Just hoping for a good injury free senior night for my nights so we can get ready to play West Greene for the (rather meaningless) county championship since the playoffs seem like a longshot.

Elizabethon wins 56-0. West Greenes offense has seemed anemic as they have only scored more than 10 points twice this year. My cousin is a buffalo so i'm hoping for a safe game between these 2 teams.

Hoping Chuckey Doak can get the win, I really don't know anything about Northview though to make an actual prediction. Hoping for a safe game for both teams though.

The Black Knights made the drive to Mountain City to take on the Longhorns and try to get to 4-0, They came away with a 39-26 victory. JC started the scoring on the first play as the kickoff was returned 75 yards fpr a TD and the Knights responded with a 13 play 69 yard drive to cut the score to 7-6, JC drove and score to take a 13-6 lead, but the Knights responded and tied it with a 3 play drive. Starkweather scored his 3rd td with 3 minutes left and the Knights led 20-23 at the half. The Knights then scored on a 51 yard drive to take a 27-13 lead. The Longhorns scored to make it 27-20 and the Knights responded to make it 33-20, JC scored again to make it 33-26, and CD scored one more time to make the final score 39-26. Tanner Barkley had 182 yards on the ground, Starkweather had 74 with 3 TD's and Waddel 105 with 3TD's for a total of 387 yards of offense, all on the ground. I watched this game on Johnson County's online stream so thanks to everyone who puts the stream on. Chuckey Doak travels to take on Sullivan North next Friday in a battle of 4-0 teams, Sullivan North won the only meeting i have heard of between them in the playoffs a few years ago 48-41. GO BLACK KNIGHTS!!

The South Greene Rebels came to Lower Afton Friday night for a cross county rivalry game, the Black Knights won 36-8, it was 10-0 after one quarter and 23-0 at the half, the black knights took their opening possesion of the 3rd quarter 97 yards to paydirt after using about 6 minutes of the clock, QB Tanner Barkley finished the drive with a 20 yard or so TD pass, The first TD pass for the knights since at least 2013, to make it 29-0 after the missed XP. South Greene drove the ball down the field and scored on the last play of the 3rd quarter to make it 29-8 after 3. CD got the ball back near midfield after a failed onside kick and took nearly six and a half minutes off the 4th quarter clock to score the final TD of the night, South Greene drove down to the Black Knight 5 yard line in the final minutes but the Knights had one last defensive stand in them as the Rebels turned it over on downs and CD took a knee twice and won the game. Great running by Corey Starkweather who had 103 yards, Hunter Robinson 95 yards, Ty Waddell 96 yards, and Tanner Barkley 106 yards on the ground last night along with the 25 yard TD pass to Bumguardner. The Black Knights defense is looking good against the run so far this season, @ Johnson County next week i don't know anything about them so I have no idea what to predict for that game, all i can hope for is a Black Knight victory.
