Are you kidding me? My issue with Stanton is race? And you arrived at that conclusion how? Well let me clue you in Ace, three of the top five professionals I employee in my company are black. I hired them. They all make over $100,000 a year. One other of those 5 is from Ecuador. The 5th is white. They would all get a chuckle out of that comment. I play golf with two of them every weekend and we dine together regulary. We watch each others children when the need arrises. I have two addopted nephews that are black. Just got lucky and got good players? Or maybe they worked like heck and developed players and their own skills and strived to have a great team every year and did the work it takes to do it. The reason that it's not hopping is because we are all now reformed and can feel the Love. We are all blind supporters of our teams and coaches so as not to make anyone upset. That way Stanton doesn't get his feelings hurt and Bailey and Green can continue to tell the school board what a great decision they made to reject two decisions by the search committee. Tpoole, I have nothing against the coach other than his lack of commitment, lack of preparation, lack of coaching ability and bad behavior. But, as you say, it will work out in the end. Vero has a good team this year, but Pahokee is coming to town for our annual beatdown soon. Golf is great. The course is in incredible shape. I hope the Cats win the last 4 and have a solid season. I think Coach Stevens is a monitor on here because if you ever make any truthful comments about his performance or record or recent escapades the post will be deleted in short order. William Blount is on the rise. Oak Ridge is much like The Vols. The Volunteers under their native son have 147 triumphs against only 45 defeats for a winning percentage of .766. No active coach with at least a decade in Division I-A has such a lofty victory rate. And a great number of fans want him replaced. What would happen if he was 29-17?

Bld, Did you hear the news? Bailey has decided that it is perfectly fine for all Oak Ridge teachers and students to carry knives to school and to take them out and open them up as long as they have no ill intent. The lawyer for the ACHS 4 students will be delighted to hear this reasoning. Knives are now allowed in Oak Ridge Schools as has been determined by The Superindent of Schools. Ole Dad

You need to go back to law school, because that is not what it says at all. If you say" This is my protection I carry" then that item becomes a weapon. Also, is determined by length of blade, etc. according to the code. It does absolutely not exclude a "pocket knife". We will see what Bailey thinks. I see a can of worms. Ole Dad

My point was......I think zero tolerance applies to teachers and students. NO Weapons on Campus....period. ZERO TOLERENCE IS THE TERM FOR A REASON. It isn't .99% tolerence or 5% tolerence. Ole Dad

I heard the rumors from a parent of a current player who said Stevens pulled out a knife and said that's what he carries for protection. The post I posted about the ACHS students had nothing to do with Stevens other than the fact that they arrested 4 kids just for having a weapon in their car on campus. I suspect that zero tolerance applies to teachers as well as students. If it doesn't apply to teachers then I pity the school system the next time they try to expel a student. I guess we will wait and see if true and what Bailey does if it is true. This is one that Bailey could go out on as well. Ole Dad

Florida has 20,000,000 residents. Our high school has 3,000 kids. Some in Miami and Orlando have 5,000. If someone wants to prove that a team has 20 D1 prospects I am all ears, but first show me a high school, any school, that sent 20 kids from one team to D1 in 3 years. I would just like to know the team and the names of the kids cause I would be amazed to see it. Maybe it happens, but I find that hard to believe. Ole Dad
