Excited about this one. Thought last year was our best shot at cookeville but like our chances better this year. The effort we played with tonight will lead us to a win Friday if we play the same.

Thought GB was gonna steal it with the 40yd FG. Godwin redeemed himself with that TD after dropping one the play before. Great WIN! Wanted it more all night.

I'm expecting an excellent game and think Coalfield finds a way to win 22-20

Yall thought Adduson was playing last year too. I promis you Clore has not and will not play in any game this season. If he does then it is the best kept secret Coalfield has had because the own community doesn't even know it.

I know I like that though. Was the same way two years ago when we went up there and pulled off the win.

Coalfield got their first win of the season last night against midway. Hensley and Hall both played so I'll go back to saying that coalfield should be the favorite to win the district title. It's still early and a lot of things can change between now and February.

Think so, coalfield dominated the first half and was up 21-0 at the half. Second half was all CB but coalfield held on to win 21-19. That QB that CB had that year was an incredible athlete.

I think this is the Coalfield/CB hate thread. GB got lost somewhere looking for the same thread though so don't feel bad.

Im hoping I get off in time to make it. I will be very disappointed if I miss this one. The past two playoff games with you all have been incredible football games and I'm expecting the third to be the same.

For some reason all they care about is Coalfield. They should worrying about Monterey as we are greenback. It's not a given were going to be playing next week.

The only thing CB hit harder that night was the ground from all your players going down cramping. You got beat by a team replacing 9 starters and it's best player being out.

Not going to complain about it being at AC. It's not that far of a drive from coalfield. I would complain if it was at Oneida or Jellico because those drives would be miserable to make 4 out of 5 days if both the boys and girls are playing in the semi finals and championship/consolation.

From what I heard the two seniors may be back playing. If they don't come back and play then I see coalfield finishing around 3rd in the district unless Parker can keep up his district tournament play for a whole season. Where coalfield will struggle this year is against teams with size. Carter started two guards that were taller than our tallest player.

OnB will they let trucks near the field this time from coalfield or is it going to be like the regular season game where it's only greenback people on the fence?

They seem to forget that. Had about 6 kids playing their first ever high school game. I would gladly accept a rematch with them because it means we upset greenback again and get to practice on thanksgiving

Don count the chickens before the eggs hatch. It happens to someone in the playoffs every year. The only focus should be on being the best team on Friday November 21st right now for both players/coaches and fans.

Clore won't be back. I saw him a couple of weeks ago and he was moving fine but nowhere near able to play.

OnB we won't be getting any back from injury. We're stuck with what we got for the rest of the year.

Agree to disagree then. GB wanted the first game more than Coalfield. You caught coalfield when they thought no 1A team could beat them and they still were a spread team. The biggest lead you all had in the playoff game was 4 and coalfield completely dominated the second half of that one and if I remember correctly the pick 6 came coalfields TD to go up 20-17 in the 3rd. If we're saying turnovers made the difference then my point stands about the year before because that game wasn't as close as the scoreboard said.

Last year coalfield was the better team overall, GB just had a couple more big at threats but coalfield was better upfront. The year before was pretty even between the two teams, again Coalfield was better up front plus we had a healthy Bible. If it wasn't for turnovers that night we would have blew that one wide open.
