  1. I never suggested drinking and drive by any means. Sure not my style. It doesn't even have to be a high school game as you mentioned. I wouldn't drink and drive period. I didn't mean to imply any of that. I like to hold a high standard as a Tide Supporter. For the most part, we'll all here for the love of the game. I like to talk up the big dance just because it's special. I can cheers to that!
  2. It's never too late as long as your provide the adult beverages! haha. Though I must poke a little fun and say that PeabodyPride probably needs to stick to the kiddy punch bowl. lol. I know he'll take that as a funny joke. Though he may be the one spiking the already spiked punch bowl. Cheers!
  3. Old news. This has been all over the T. It was done as something fun. Like Tide21 said, it's apparently not allowed. All self-imposed restrictions have been fulfilled aside from the 2 years of no social media simply because it hasn't been 2 years yet. Our facebook page and twitter accounts are not run by the coaches. Sorry to steal your spotlight of thinking you were digging up unknown dirt. haha
  4. I was talking to a coworker today who thought Peabody was playing Greenback. He said y'all have some crazy fans. I told him it was Lake County that is playing Greenback. Without missing a beat, he said.. oh ok. They'll even each other out. lol. With that being said, bring that Gold Ball home to West TN, Lake County!!!
  5. Peabody has one planned. They're charging $20/person, and that includes a ticket to the game. Hope Meigs does too. The more the merrier. Those boys deserve huge cheering crowds on both sides of that stadium.
  6. It wasn't for lack of trying. You can't blame the coaches. Several good teams refused to play us this year. Huntingdon, Dyer County, Henry County are a few that we tried to get on the schedule, but they refused. Also take into account that our region is typically a force to be reckoned with. Union City and Adamsville both had down years. That's just the hand we were dealt. We do have heavy playoff experience that includes Cookeville obviously. Rest assured these boys are ready to play.
  7. Do the posters here work? I could barely keep up while working today, and now it's silence. Lol.. Where did everyone go this evening?
  8. I love watching him play. He makes it look so easy.
  9. Seeing Swafford next to Baugus was interesting. Swafford definitely has some bulk. How's his speed? I know speed makes up for Baugus's smaller physique.
  10. You certainly are the pot calling the kettle black with your whining about Riverside robbing Forrest. As I’ve said before, take your Peanut Gallery and go stock your basketball concessions. You bring nothing to this game thread.
  11. Hometown camaraderie.... That's the term I like to go with. In small towns those Friday Night Lights can light up the entire skyline. It's quite the opposite in the larger cities where bright lights can outshine those Friday Night Lights. That's why you gotta love small town football.
  12. I'm watching the bracket post. So far most are picking Meigs. Plus the Big Ones contest has them neck and neck. Nonetheless it will be interesting to see how we stack up against one another. Defending 2A Champs/2019 Mr. Football against Meigs who has the 2018 Mr. Football and hasn't been to state since 95. Both teams have their reasons to be hungry for the win. Will be interesting to see how the cards fall.
  13. Peabody has been ranked #1 all season long. Now suddenly everyone is betting against us. That's completely alright though. Our boys have experience at the Ville and have the fight in them to never give up. Naysayers keep it up. You're only adding fuel to the fire of Peabody going #Back2Back.
  14. Oh I know. It wasn’t very original. I laughed harder at the Roy Dillard tribute. You know I’m joking but I’m not.
  15. Riverside’s Poster said something about Peabody’s boys being free for their girlfriend’s next Saturday. Hopefully our boys will be getting congratulatory kisses from their GF’s on the 50 yd line at the Ville next Saturday.
  16. 38-14 Peabody.... 6:15 left in the game! Roll Tide!
  17. Don't reminds me.... lol. Even if it's not raining tomorrow, it still sounds like I may need my muck boots due to mud.
  18. Lol! This sounds similar like me telling the Gibson County Pioneer folk to get over it and save their Peanut Gallery to stock the basketball concessions. That statement still pulls true for the General.
  19. I'm sure looking forward to Turkey Day and will give true Thanksgiving for Christ's sacrifice, my family, my health, and another night of Friday Night Lights! Black Friday is truly Black and Gold Friday this year. Riverside will see on Friday night. You guys will be prepared and as ready as you can be.... but you'll be in for a surprise. It's going to be a good one. I hope the forecast changes. We had enough rainy games in last year's playoffs, plus that fine mist that came down the entire second half this past Friday.
  20. I also want to add for all of you who think Peabody is so cocky.... Please search Facebook for Peabody Golden Tide Football's page. Check out the video that was shared of the Peabody players lifting up that emotional Fairley Bulldog player off the ground. They lifted him up and multiple players came to give a pat on the back. These kids are emotionally wrapped up in these games. Losses hurt. Especially when it's the end of the road. Huge props to our guys for being the stand up players they are. Our coaches go above and beyond teaching these kids football. They're teaching them to be team players, future leaders of their families, to play the game with integrity and grace.... Say what you will about us "cocky fans", but you can never say that about the brotherhood that the team is. If you glance over that page, you'll see how our players donate their Saturdays to spend time with special needs children or simply go enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with our local nursing home and rehab facility. Our boys are truly what Friday Night Lights is all about. Please consider all that as you read about our program , or watch our past games. This team is truly special. It's not just a football team. It's a team that truly loves giving back to our community. It's a team that marches onto that field with the American Flag flying first and foremost. It's a team that truly loves the game, our community, and our country. This team is special. Our team isn't invincible, but they won't quit fighting until that final buzzer sounds. I've never seen a team like this one. It's special. I'm sure proud to be a fan and to get to witness this team's amazing year.
