I saw several games at Mt. Juliet. Being a playday scrimmage you can't take too much from the games but . . .
In tournment play:
Goodpasture 2 Brentwood 1
Ooltewah over Blackman by 1 or 2 runs
Brentwood big over Watertown
Ravenwood over McGavock
Ooltewah over Lebanon in several tie-breaker innings
Blackman over St. Benedict
Goodpasture over Father Ryan
When I left Mt. Juliet was playing Wilson Central.
That's all I can remember
Certainly an exciting tournament. I thought Caton was the MVP. He was the difference in both GHS games I watched. Very impressive for the Cats to come from double digits down in both games to win.
Good luck to everyone from 8AA in the Region.
If Station Camp plays "OLE, MATADOR" defense like it did in the 4th quarter against Portland, DCA will win.
But, I think SC plays aggressive D and wins.
I would think East Robertson should be breaking into the poll pretty soon if not already. They are dangerous with good size, quickness at guard and shooting ability.
I think Jack Howell, former D Coordinator at Ezell Harding, is coaching in the Portland area. If Portland wants to get away from the wing-T and open things up, Howell would be a consideration.
Randall Toney was the first back in Station Camp's short history to break 1000 yards rushing in a season. He would tell you this year's line was the first to block for a 1000 yards. He is a humble, good kid.
He is fun to watch. Since the playoffs, his numbers have gotten better and better. The definition of "taking the team on your shoulders" sums up Cates. He is worth the price of admission and a ribeye sandwich.

Notre Dame-Pearl wins battle of the Bands
Lipscomb
Goodpasture wins by 12-std will like this prediction.
I don't know anything about Notre Dame except that they shut down Dallas from Macon County. Nobody else in middle tennessee was able to do that except Greenbrier and Dallas didn't play much due to injury.
If the game is close in the 2nd half, Notre Dame will pull away. Conditioning will be a key.
Notre Dame 23
Pearl-Cohn 14
I hope PC's band travels to Notre Dame. They certainly add to the atmosphere of a game. Quite a show.
I'll go with Macon County. Every thread about Macon County starts with "gotta stop Dallas" but nobody ever does. I'm not sure it can be done. That doesn't mean MC wins them all but Dallas hasn't been stopped.
If Sycamore wins it will be turnovers by Macon County.
